Without a home commitment, he cannot make transport. Meet Blitz Blitz is a stunning 4-year-old Husky with striking blue eyes and a calm, gentle personality to match. While his looks may catch your attention first, it is his easygoing nature that truly makes him special. Blitz is more of a laid-back guy who enjoys taking in the world around him at his own pace. He has a lower energy level and is perfectly content spending time sniffing, exploring, and quietly entertaining himself. He also enjoys affection and happily soaks up pets and attention from people. He is excellent on a leash and walks without pulling, making him an easy companion for daily walks and outings. Blitz has an attentive, thoughtful personality and enjoys treats and squeaky toys, though he is not overly intense or demanding. Blitz was a total gentleman when meeting other dogs. Even when another dog mounted him during introductions, he remained calm and unbothered. He has a very “go with the flow” personality and seems comfortable around other dogs without needing to be the center of attention. Because of his calm temperament and lower energy level, staff believe he would likely do well around children. His potty-training status is unknown at this time. The transport date is still to be determined and will depend on how many fosters or adopters we can find for available dogs at the shelter. A committed home is required for Richie to make the trip, and we’re hopeful the right person is out there for him. Meet Richie Richie is the definition of a gentle soul. This calm, easygoing 3-year-old Husky mix is ready for a fresh start and a loving home. He has a relaxed, affectionate personality and truly enjoys simply being near his people. Richie is great on a leash and walks right by your side without pulling, making daily walks easy and enjoyable. He is happiest soaking up affection and will stand quietly beside you for as long as you will pet him, enjoying every bit of attention with his calm and patient demeanor. Richie also has an independent side and is perfectly content wandering around, sniffing, and exploring at his own relaxed pace. He has a lower energy level and does not seem especially interested in toys, treats, or showing off tricks just yet. He is simply a peaceful companion who enjoys relaxing and spending quiet time with his people. Richie did well during dog testing. While he was not much for playing, he happily coexisted with another dog nearby. After some initial sniffing, both dogs settled in and relaxed comfortably together. If you are looking for a sweet, calm dog with a gentle presence, Richie could be your perfect match. He originally came to Wisconsin in March 2025 and was adopted by his current owner, but due to recent lifestyle changes, she is no longer able to give Jax the time, exercise, and mental stimulation he needs. Meet Jax Jax is an approximately 2-year-old Husky mix with a fun, happy personality and lots of love to give. He is a friendly, medium-energy boy who enjoys staying active and being included in daily life. Jax loves going for walks, playing fetch, and is especially obsessed with balls. He is potty trained, crate trained, and walks well on leash, making him an easy companion to bring along on adventures. Jax is also a smart boy who already knows commands like sit, down, and shake. Jax is great with other dogs and has done well with children. Because he can get excited when meeting new people and is still working on not jumping up to say hello, older kids would likely be the best fit for him. He is an all-around social, affectionate dog who loves attention and activity. With continued consistency and outlets for both physical exercise and mental enrichment, Jax will make an excellent companion for an active family or individual. Jax has not been cat tested. Without a home commitment, he cannot make transport. Meet Tripp Tripp is a handsome 2-year-old Husky with a gentle personality and an independent spirit. He is the kind of dog who is happy exploring the world on his own but still enjoys checking back in for affection and attention from his people. Tripp is a total gentleman on leash and walks beautifully by your side. Once he gets into the play yard, he enjoys wandering around, sniffing, and doing his own thing at his own pace. While he is not overly clingy, he is always friendly and happy to come over for pets, treats, and especially belly rubs — one of his favorite things. This smart boy already knows how to sit and lay down on command and is very food motivated. Sometimes he gets so excited to show off his tricks that he does a little happy dance while obeying. He also takes treats very gently from your hand. Tripp is not very interested in toys and would much rather spend time exploring or relaxing with his people. He has a medium energy level and an easygoing personality that would make him a wonderful companion for someone looking for a sweet, steady best friend. He has done well coexisting with other dogs and was calm and relaxed during dog interactions, though he was not especially interested in playing. He seems happy simply sharing space and doing his own thing nearby. Tripp has not shown signs of being potty trained yet, but he is very smart and expected to pick up routines quickly in a home environment. After leaving shelter life behind, this handsome husky is getting the chance to relax, adjust to home life, and show off the playful personality that made him a favorite among shelter staff and volunteers. Moone is a 3.5-year-old Siberian Husky mix weighing approximately 45 pounds. He originally entered the shelter as a stray, so little is known about his background, but his fun-loving nature quickly became impossible to miss. With his goofy antics, playful attitude, and friendly personality, Moone has a way of bringing smiles to everyone he meets. One thing that was immediately clear at the shelter was how much Moone enjoys the company of other dogs. He did wonderfully during dog testing and loves having canine friends to play with. His foster family is continuing to learn more about him each day, but he has already shown that he enjoys activity, companionship, and opportunities to explore the world around him. As a medium-energy dog, Moone will thrive with regular exercise and mental stimulation. Whether it's neighborhood walks, hiking adventures, play sessions, or simply spending time outdoors, he is happiest when he has opportunities to stay active and engaged. Because he was found as a stray, some of his training history remains unknown. He is continuing to work on leash manners and adjusting to life in a home environment. With consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement, Moone is expected to continue making great progress. About Me: Name: Tatiana Breed (or best guess): Mix breed (we don't know what she is other than cute!) Approximate Age: 1 yr Gender: Female Approximate Weight: 16 lb on 2/7/26 Adoption Fee: $495  Requirements: Loving and patient family Why In Rescue:  Texas Transfer Profile:  Tatiana is still looking for a home.  She has one blue eye and one brown eye, so she is unique!  She is the perfect medium size dog.  She is a shy girl hoping to get into a home so she can become the best dog she can be. Tatiana came to us from Texas.  She is a happy, playful and loving girl waiting for a loving and patient family.  We don't get a history or background on the dogs, so are learning more about them everyday.  They have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated for Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella and Rabies, heartworm and tick tested and started on prevention, had a health exam, and microchipped.  If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com.  Please note, filling out inquiry forms on Petfinder or Adoptapet and/or their application forms does not constitute an application for one of our dogs.  Priority in responding to inquires and applications is always to the applications filled out on our website, time constraints limit the number of other inquires we can reply to. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $495 for most adults and up to $650 for puppies which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $100 (up to $260 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $100 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS May 30, 2026, 9:42 pm
