2️⃣ Rescue Story
* The five siblings born to #AdogsDada were separated from their mother shortly after birth at the shelter, left to endure day after day tied to heavy iron chains. When Adogs returned to visit, all five puppies had developed skin conditions that required immediate medical attention. Unable to leave them behind in such a harsh environment, Adogs stepped in to rescue the entire litter.
3️⃣ Basic Information
❗As an infant puppy, he may need training in areas such as separation anxiety, teething/mouthing, whining, disorderly behaviors, howling, or barking.
❗It is difficult to predict his future shedding level or adult size because his father is unknown.
❗️Puppies grow at an incredibly rapid rate until about 10 months of age. Therefore, his current appearance in person may differ slightly from his earlier puppy photos.
* With People: Is a bit shy but likes people, so he sits quietly in his place and accepts being petted. Once you get close, he approaches you barking and wagging his tail to play. When playing with toys, he hops around excitedly. When meeting strangers, he feels more comfortable with and is more responsive to women than men.
* With Dogs: Friendly toward all dog companions, he is a gentle soul who never approaches aggressively. We are currently training him on how to approach and greet new dog friends calmly.
* With Cats: Shows curiosity toward cats encountered during walks and wants to get close to them, so caution is needed.
* Separation Anxiety: Might whine a bit looking for his caretaker when s/he go into another room, but he settles down in no time. While he’s cautious around strangers when left alone with them, he'll wag his tail and relax nicely once they start petting him.
* Potty Training: Relieves himself indoors, but holds his bowel movements to do them outside. Has an 80% success rate with indoor potty pads and zero marking issues. Is a neat boy who refuses to go on a pad he's already used once, so we place several pads in different spots around the place. When he has to relieve himself, he whines first and heads to a padㅡthough he can get distracted by sudden sounds or movements and pause his attempt.
* Hygiene: Is uncomfortable with baths and nail trims but accepts drying, brushing and toothbrushing nicely.
* Walks: Tends to pull on the leash and can be stubborn during walks, so we're currently working on training him. While he loves other dogs, he doesn't quite know how to approach them gently yet, so he is still learning. Is also sensitive to loud noises; sounds from large trucks, delivery vans, or garbage trucks sometimes cause him to freeze up or suddenly turn and try to run away, which is why we are doing desensitization training.
* Car Sickness: When traveling a long distance to his foster home, he showed symptoms of motion sickness including drooling, having a potty accident, and vomiting.
* Is currently in his teething phase, so he displays typical puppy mouthing and nipping behavior and is taking training. Doesn’t bite anything other than his toys.
* Whines when he needs to go potty, or when his owner walks away after they've been spending time together. Whines when he wants to play too though sometimes he'll bark instead to ask for playtime.
* Loves human touch and playing with toys.
* Gets scared of loud noises. When there's a loud noise at home, he tends to go hide in a corner, but he recovers and feels better after 10 minutes of settling down next to his foster parent. If a loud noise happens during a walk, he sits down on the spot or, in severe cases, tries to run away, which is why consistent training is needed.
* Understand well the command "Sit." Is learning "Wait" and "Nose."
* Is a bit shy and fearful but is changing positively through training in the foster home. Loves human touch and really enjoys playing together. Once he gets close to you, he shows his active side.
