The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase Quick Pay via Zelle, PayPal, or cash. The shelter where Oz came from was asked by Chosun TV, one of Korea’s cable networks, to be a consultant for one of the programs called “Signal: for rescue” for one of its episodes that deal with exposing one of Korea’s illegally established dog meat butchers. Without their consent, though, the TV producers had 10 dogs (one pregnant at the time) rescued from the dog meat butcher resettle at their shelter. Oz is one of the puppies that was born after coming to their shelter. But she wasn’t spayed in time so she got pregnant at the shelter and gave birth to two dogs. Oz was not able to take proper care of either of them, the puppies were eventually taken to a foster home and now both of them live in the States, thanks to American rescues that wanted to take them in. Oz was left alone at the shelter in Korea, but the shelter said they didn’t have the connections or expertise to get these big rescues from the dog meat trade properly publicized for adoption. Oz was supposed to have been placed at a bigger organization in Korea, but the TV producers did not follow up, nor did they take responsibility for the 10 dog’s adoption afterwards. So we gladly said we would help the oh so beautiful Oz who is looking to find that very special home to cherish her as she should be adored. Oz was rescued by the amazing Korean rescue & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Korean rescue & we are so extremely grateful for what they do day in & day out for these babies & there is also such a great financial responsibility when rescuing these babies so we cannot begin to thank them enough. Oz was bought back to the USA where she is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find her new loving devoted forever home. Talk about absolutely stunning, Miss Oz is such a beautiful girl. This poor girl was ganged up on in the shelter & had her ear bitten but for everything she has been through she is very forgiving & sweet. Oz has a lovely personality, she is warm, friendly & affectionate & oh my, does she love to eat. Some people at first she maybe nervous & hesitant of until she knows & trusts them, then she is good. She is good with men & woman once she knows them. Did we mention you can pick this beautiful girl up & she will let you carry her? She is doing well walking on her harness & leash but still would need work as she does sometimes stop with some people & not want to walk as she gets a little intimidated. She did end up having a foster home in Korea who worked with her on walks & going for runs & we think she would really enjoy a home who would be active with her. We don’t think she ever received this much love before but she radiates her appreciation with us. We do know she adores dogs, she loves them & she absolutely needs another dog or dogs in the home for her to play with, this is mandatory. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Oz & we have been excited to change her world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. Oz’s new forever home must have a fully fenced backyard. Oz rides beautifully in the car & loves a good journey, so great in the car. But then she sometimes doesn’t want to get out of the car so we have to carry her out. We are looking for a crate free home for this little lady only. Oz does not like crates & who could blame her. We are also looking for a forever home for Oz where someone is home during the day or she can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them. Oz is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be patient with her. Oz has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & she is currently with other dogs & does well. Oz needs to go to a forever home with another dog or dogs in the home, she really enjoys the company of other dogs & we currently have her with other dogs. This is mandatory along with a fully fenced backyard. Oz is roughly 44.6 lbs & has put on so much weight with us & oh my goodness does she love to eat. When we got her, she was skinny & you could see her ribs, those days are long gone. She is 1 year old & 3 months & perhaps a Jindo what she is mixed with we are not sure, female, she is spayed, had a dental/scale & polish, she is microchipped, up to date on her shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on Oz with bringing her to the US with her travel costs, her medical, her dental, boarding fees etc & bringing her to WA than her adoption fee covers. Oz has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but in Korea she used to chase the cats so a home with no cats is needed for Oz. But it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had her around small children so we do not recommend small children nor cats & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Oz was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is. As with all of our rescues & Oz’s friends she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Oz potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Oz & going through our process and have read her listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit via WebEx due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Oz who understands her needs & that meet all the requirements for this special sweet little lady. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Oz has an adoption fee of $995 & is ready for her truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what she has been through.

Hae-Bom was living under a construction storage container in Korea & was rescued with her siblings. Off to the local shelter they went once they were found & poor Hae-Bom spent a year & a half in a cage in the shelter. No one was coming to give her a loving home. Thankfully our amazing Korean rescue friends rescued this girl before her life was to end. Hae-Bom went into the foster home & had to learn to be a dog in a caring environment with dog friends & she did & did amazing. Unfortunately she still could not find a home in Korea & we were asked could we help this Beaty & it was our pleasure to. Hae-Bom was rescued by the amazing Korean rescue & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Korean rescue & we are so extremely grateful for what they do day in & day out for these babies & there is also such a great financial responsibility when rescuing these babies so we cannot begin to thank them enough. Hae-Bom was bought back to the USA where she is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find her new loving devoted forever home. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase Quick Pay, PayPal, or cash. Beautiful Jiyong was born at Kong Kong shelter in Korea. He was lively & full of joy & happiness as a puppy, but sadly life at the shelter rendered him timid & scared. He spent all of the beginning of his life/time confined to a cage in the shelter which is extremely sad & heartbreaking, but alive. Unfortunately he was living in filth & a mass group setting where everyone was fed together. Another situation of survival of the fittest to eat. But thankfully he was rescued out of the shelter by a truly amazing rescuer & was put into a foster home in Korea where the real work began. It took his foster mum in Korea roughly 2 months to get Jiyong feeling comfortable with her & then started bonding with her. His foster mum did such a big turn around for Jiyong while in Korea but as it happens so often no one was willing to open their homes & hearts to Jiyong be his forever family & we were asked could we help him find his devoted forever home. Jiyong was rescued by the amazing Korean rescue & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Korean rescue & we are so extremely grateful for what they do day in & day out for these babies & there is also such a great financial responsibility when rescuing these babies so we cannot begin to thank them enough. Jiyong was bought back to the USA where he is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find his new loving devoted forever home. What an absolutely brutal way for a puppy to start out his precious life in a shelter & start growing up there. Sometimes it’s just not fair. But that’s where that horrible story ends for him. His foster mum & dad said, we have been fostering Jiyong for nearly a year. He is a sweet, shy soul, and it's taken a long time for his personality to start to come out. He needs a forever home that is willing to be patient, loving, and consistent as he continues to become comfortable with family life. He absolutely loves to be outside, & will likely bond with his family on walks more than hanging out at home. He also loves to go the dog park, he's friendly & sociable with other dogs, & he loves the excuse to run his little heart out. He would do great in a home with other dogs, he's not been exposed to cats in his current foster home. In Korea he was exposed to cats & would chase them at first but once he knew the cat he would lose interest & just exist together. He's still shy and cautious at home. Sudden movements will send him scurrying, small children may be tricky for him in this regard. He also really does not like to be picked up, his family will have to build trust before he’ll accept being corralled like that. Despite his nervousness, he's not shown an ounce of aggression, either with dogs or people. He will timidly investigate friends when they visit, & receive a little pet, but any sharp movement and he's off to whatever space he deems safe. The shyness & anxiety have improved quite a bit over time, & will continue to improve, but he may always be something of a reserved dog. He really likes having his own safe space. He uses a dog bed in the living room and sleeps under our bed at night. He would likely do well with a cozy crate in the bedroom.  Outside of his exuberance when getting ready for a walk, he is relatively quiet, rarely showing signs of barking, though that may change as he gets more confident. He also has no trouble going in a crate, for example on car rides we use a crate for safety.  His health is great. He does have some sort of allergy which causes mostly his left eye to water a bit, however he does not mind receiving eye drops at all, and we've recently shifted his food to see if helps. He has a good appetite for meals, though he's still cautious about taking treats from our hands (unless it's steak or cheese!). Having seen him through one winter, his coat became thick and luxurious during the cold months, and he shed quite a bit for a few weeks in early spring. His coat is lovely. More than anything, Jiyong just wants to be safe. He clearly wants to hang out with our pack. As he gets more confident, your reward will be a happy, gentle, and inquisitive companion. Jiyong has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & does well. Jiyong needs to go to a forever home with another dog or dogs in the home, he really enjoys the company of other dogs & we currently have him with other dogs in his loving devoted foster home. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take him to places where there are other dogs. That will not work, another dog or dogs is mandatory along with a fully fenced backyard. Jiyong is roughly 25 lbs & is 4 years old & perhaps a jindo mix, what he is mixed with we are not sure. He is male, neutered, he had a dental/scale & polish along with 2 baby molars removed. He had a schirmer tear test, Intraocular Pressure - Tonometry test for his eye watering & was given antibiotics for his eye. He is microchipped, up to date on his shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on Jiyong with bringing him to the US with his travel costs, his cargo fees, his medical, his dental scale & polish, his eye meds, eye test, boarding fees, food etc & bringing him to WA than his adoption fee covers. Another sweet mum who was left behind in Korea, but of course all of her babies were adopted. Dar-Lae, the loveliest fun soul now who had 6 puppies was taken to a kill shelter in Korea. We mean shack outside with a big heavy chain around her neck. She was found on the streets of Korea with her beautiful babies. That in itself is a miracle. While in the shelter she was such a good mum & looked after babies. But the sad reality was people wanted her babies & not her. Thankfully the wonderful Korean rescue went in & rescued Dar-Lae but unfortunately no one in Korea wanted to open up their hearts & home to Dar-Lae so here she is now ready to find that special home who is waiting for this little lady. Dar-Lae was rescued by the amazing Korean rescue & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Korean rescue & we are so extremely grateful for what they do day in & day out for these babies & there is also such a great financial responsibility when rescuing these babies so we cannot begin to thank them enough. Dar-Lae was bought back to the USA where she is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find her new loving devoted forever home. It’s now Dar-Lae’s turn to be the one who gets the chance to find that amazing forever home. This little lady when you first meet her is a little shy & uncertain but once she knows & trusts you, you are good. She is the sweetest soul. She has been to hell & back & for everything that she has been through she is doing amazing. Her foster mum said she lets you pick her up, snuggle with her & hug her. She is the sweetest happiest girl you will have the pleasure of meeting. Her foster mum said she loves a good outfit & adores comfy beds & big comfy blankets & will want to sleep in bed with you along with the other dogs. She also said she is really good with being bathed & dried by the hairdryer & such a social butterfly. We don’t think she ever received this much love before but she radiates her appreciation with us. We have been working with her on her leash & harness & does really well considering but, she still would need continued work as this is all new to her. Dar-Lae loves to run & play & adores her dog friends so much. In the rescue her best friend is Dong-Baek. Her foster mum also said she enjoys sitting on the chair & looking out the window. Dar-Lae loves to eat, since she came into the rescue she has put on 2 lbs. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Dar-Lae & we have been excited to change her world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. Dar-Lae’s new forever home must have a fully fenced backyard. She loves to chase her dog friends & foster siblings & play, play play once she is comfortable in her new home. It takes time for her to become comfortable but once she does she is the biggest sweetheart. She will paw at you & give you kisses once she knows you. She compassion & understanding of what she has been through. Dar-Lae rides well in the car & we are looking for a crate free home for this little lady only. Dar-Lae does not like crates. We are also looking for a forever home for Dar-Lae where someone is home during the day or she can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them. Dar-Lae is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be patient with her. Poor Dar-Lae was adopted & returned 24 hours later due to no fault of her own. Dar-Lae has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & she is currently with other dogs & does well. Dar-Lae needs to go to a forever home with another dog or dogs in the home, she enjoys the company of other dogs & we currently have her with other dogs. Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 Web Site: www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thank You for your cooperation*** Please read listings fully to the end before applying for one of our beloved rescues. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around the US and Canada, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle, or cash. We no longer accept PayPal due to the fees & charges but if the potential adopter is willing to pay them we will accept PayPal. No matter what, Gu-Seul is a miracle girl, but still so extremely sad. She was born in a death camp of a shelter in South Korea called Gimje. She was one of 7 babies born in this shelter but unfortunately she & a sibling only survived. Already she is again a miracle. Her sibling found a foster home. But no one came for Gu-Seul, but thankfully the wonderful Korean rescuer she came & got her. Without her, who knows what would of happened to this sweetheart. They said they still remember when they rescued her from the steel cage, the hopeless look in her beautiful little eyes & she looked so very lost. She had another little friend who became her mate as she adores dogs but they too went to a foster home & still no one wanted the beautiful Gu-Seul & we were asked could we possibly help her. Our beloved rescue was & is so very full, but we did not want anything to happen to this little lady so we said of course we will help her & find her the most amazing devoted forever home. Gu-Seul was rescued by the amazing Korean rescue & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Korean rescue & we are so extremely grateful for what they do day in & day out for these babies & there is also such a great financial responsibility when rescuing these babies so we cannot begin to thank them enough. Gu-Seul was bought back to the USA where she is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find her new loving devoted forever home. Beautiful Yumi is also Korean & that’s what her foster mum calls her. She said since they have been fostering her she has blossomed out of her shell. Starting off shy & timid, after only a few days of getting to know us we earned her trust. Her daily routine consists of going into everyones bed in the morning with a wiggly butt & kisses to greet. After that it’s time to go back into bed & snuggle with my own dogs (she curls up like a little fox with her tail over her nose). Her favorite treats consists of all fruits & veggies (from strawberries to carrots she loves them all). Yumi has a gentle touch when taking treats & is also the same with any person or animal she meets. Besides her lounging around the house, she loves to play with any dog that she comes across. Whether it’s running together in the backyard or wrestling, Yumi does her best to please anyone she is sharing time with. One of our favorite traits Yumi possesses is her ability to be flexible with her surroundings. When we are calm she remains calm. When we want to play, she is more than happy to play. Yumi wants to make everyone happy in her life & we love that about her. If you want to win her over and get to know this side of her, the best way is through stuffies. Yumi loves toys, especially ones with stuffing to keep her entertained for a long time. At the end of the day she’s snuggled up and usually asleep on her back with her paws hanging in the air. It will take a few days to earn this trust, but once you do she will become a very loving & loyal companion who would love to spend her days snuggled up on your lap & wrestling with your furry friends. Gu-Seul is really good with being bathed & dried by the hairdryer & so tolerant. She would still need work walking on her harness & leash & is still confused by it but let’s face it. In her foster home this is the first time she is learning to walk on a harness & leash. Gu-Seul loves her dog friends so much. Gu-Seul’s new forever home must have a fully fenced backyard. She has always been with other dogs & she adores other dogs so in her forever home another dog or dogs is mandatory in her forever home for her to have her best life. Gu-Seul still needs to go for more car rides as her foster mum said she gets a bit nervous going in the car. She probably thinks every time she is going to go in the car she is going to get dumped. So she needs a lot more car rides in her future to let her know she isn’t going anywhere. Her foster mum said, no matter what, she is very sweet & cuddly. We are & only looking for a crate free home for this little lady only. She wanted out of the crate after the flight. Gu-Seul as you can imagine spent such a long time in the shelter in a caged environment. We are also looking for a forever home for Gu-Seul where someone is home during the day or she can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them. Gu-Seul is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be patient with her & never give up on her again. Gu-Seul has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes in the rescue & she is currently with other dogs & adores other dogs. Gu-Seul needs to go to a forever home with another dog or dogs in the home, she enjoys the company of other dogs & we currently have her with other dogs. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take her to places where there are other dogs. That will not work, another dog or dogs is mandatory along with a fully fenced backyard. Gu-Seul is roughly 13 lbs, she is 1 year old & 2 months & perhaps a jindo mix, what she is mixed with we are not sure, female, she is spayed. She is microchipped, heartworm negative, tested for giardia & was negative, up to date on her shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on Gu-Seul with bringing her to the US with her travel costs, broker fees, her medical care, etc & bringing her to WA than her adoption fee comes close to covering. Gu-Seul has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had her around small children so we do not recommend small children nor cats & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Gu-Seul was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is. As with all of our rescues & Ge-Seul’s friends she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Gu-Seul potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Gu-Seul & going through our process and have read her listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on. Or you waste this rescues time, will remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit via WebEx due to covid & followed by a meet & greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Gu-Seul who understands her needs & that meet all the requirements for this special sweet little lady. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Gu-Seul has an adoption fee of $995 & is ready for her truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what she has been through.

Story
Bookku Female 13months 20kg Lovely and Loyal Very careful and a fast learner Give her lots of love and She can be your best companion! ▶Name: 부끄 (BOOKKU) ▶Age:? 13mths ▶Gender:? neutered Female ▶Weight: 20kg ▶Breed: Jindo mix ▶Dog: -Loves dog friends but is super careful at first takes some time to adjust around new friends. Sometimes gets too excited but knows how to kneel down and? wait at times esp when dog is smaller in size. -Bookkuu knows how to control her play energy according to her companion. -When smaller dogs bark loudly at Bookuu, she gets scared and moves out of the way. -Bookkuu sometimes growls and shows discomfort when other dogs(esp new dogs) show interest to her belongings or abruptly comes to sniff. -If Bookku gets to excited, command her to sit and she will ease down and watch the dog go its way. ▶Cat: -Bookku is very gentle towards most animals. Cats are one of them. When she meets a house cat she stays very gentle and calm shows curiosity and wants to sniff but gets hit by the cat most of the time . However when she sees a wild cat outdoors she goes after to chase it, but not to hunt. ▶Adults: -Bookku is very cautious around strangers which requires some time for her to inspect. But when introduced she stays calm. -She likes people who come gentle towards her and lends their hand to sniff. -Recognizes people she’s seen more than twice and wags her tail and sniffs. -She barks at specific type of adults esp man in dark color clothes. And whoever is running fast towards her. -Likes female better than male( gets a bit scared at times). ▶Kids: - Bookku is a bit scared of kids especially when they run towards her. She may growl and bark or either tends to keep a distance. But when she gets famililar she stays around and stays calm. -Was scared of Foster house son, but after a month and a half, he became Bookku’s best mate. -Never once barked or bit foster parent son. ▶Potty trained: Outdoors/Indoors are both possible. And can use pad indoors. Potty train was easy to train. Bookku prefers outdoors more than indoors on grass, leaves, and dirt. ▶Ok on leash: Stays super calm when putting up both leash and harness. She loves going out for walks, but since foster house is located in a busy street of downtown with lots of people, this got her nervous everytime. But has been gradually improving. She has shown great improvement during foster care period. With constantly challenging new areas with patience she has gained a lot of confidence. ▶Energy Level : 7(Outdoors) 3(inside the house mostly sleeps or rests) ▶Barker: Barks only to unexpected strangers at the door on to a visitor(Only when foster mom is around). She may bark once or twice but instantly calms down when introduced. This may be her way of protecting her owner and herself but can be educated and trained. Foster parents had no problem inviting guests home. Just had to hold her back and introduce her to guests by letting her sniff? their belongings and hand. She then soon goes minds her own business. ▶Separation anxiety: -Did not show any separation anxiety when left alone. Foster parents always left her a big bone to chew on with her favorite toy. -Very quiet and calm around the house when alone. -Hasn't caused any trouble ▶Whether to escape : Has not tried to escape. Bookku loves taking walks in quiet grassy areas and always checks on her guardian if he/she is catching up. But she can hype up sometimes when she sees stray cats running away. ▶Rescue Story (if you know): She has been rescued in the junk yard of a suburb area where she has been fed leftovers in a small cage to be eaten or sold as dog meat. ▶Brief write up (personality, what would be the ideal home?): Bookku is very cautious around new surroundings which requires some time for her to adjust.. Bookku is very intelligent. She is mostly quiet around the house and barely causes any house troubles. She always follows her guardian wherever and waits very patiently. She is super loyal in a very soft way. Her best interest is her owner. Her energy level is pretty low around the house and havent seen her get angry or annoyed at anyone. She will be suitable in a household where she can receive lots of love and patience.? She is good with kids but requires some time to adjust at first. Bookuu loves taking family walks, i think she feels more confident taking walks as a whole. She can manage long walks hiking etc. Loves playing with other dogs but being the only dog around the house would be nice too. Looking for a family who can mend her heart. It will take time for her to adjust but she we definitely return it back. Note: If she gets scared or nervous. By holding her and humming the happy birthday song gently like a lullaby will help her ease or go to sleep
