Story
HENRY THE FABULOUS!!! HE IS AWESOME!!!! He is so sweet and easy. He loves hiking, playing, snuggling and lounging in a pool! He appears to be a mix of Labrador and Dalmatian, with that type of energy. He is about 7 years young and full of pep and energy and loves to play! He is a darling gentleman. His best friend is a female pup named Malibu Barbie and they are all love. There is not enough room for all his pictures. We are trying to update. He is a medium size and loves to go for walks, hikes, the beach, and give love! He's also VERY DOG FRIENDLY. He absolutely loves life and is great with all dogs! He is gentle enough to keep a cancer dog company. He seems to be nervous around younger kids when they want to get to close or hug him. So we can only say he is best with older teens age 16 to adults to have a great life of fun! He deserves the best home and to be the best friend that he wants to be! Henry is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and micro-chipped. If you are interested in adopting him please fill out an application today. Applications can be found on our website www.LindaBlairWorldheart.org Southern California adoptions only due to home checks. Story
Montana is a 1 1/2 year old Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Mix. He spent time in a foster home and this is what the foster family said about him.Montana is a truly special dog with a lot of promise and potential with some additional training. He is fully house broken and will stand by the door to let you know he needs to go out. Montana knows several commands, including sit, shake, come and leave it. While he can be a little stubborn, he is incredibly smart and learns quickly especially when treats are involved. He adapted to crate training very quickly and would likely do well with minimal retraining. Montana is a quiet dog indoors. He pays attention to sounds outside but only barks occasionally. He enjoys being close to his people, often resting at your feet during the day. With a short walk and some outside play in the morning, Montana is calm and well-regulated indoors. Montana shows a lot of promise as a loose leash walker, especially with continued training. He has made significant improvement in avoiding distractions and focusing on his walks. He is also an excellent hiking companion, navigating rough terrain with ease. Montana loves to play fetch, tug of war, and splash in water. He’s needs some training on how to play gently as he can be a bit mouthy. Montana has shown some territorial aggression, growling at people entering the yard and barking at visitors entering the home. He seemed more comfortable with visitors he meets at a neutral ground before entering the house. Introducing Montana to new people on a neutral location is recommended. Montana would thrive in a home with older kids or no kids at all. He has a tendency to “hump” friendly dogs he meets on walks, so he would probably do best as an only pet until he has some official training. He did well being left home alone for a few hours, but prefers having people around. His future family should be comfortable with his size and strength and be ready to continue his training. With the right environment and guidance, Montana will be an amazing, loyal companion. If you’re looking for an intelligent, active, and loving dog who will be your adventure buddy and loyal friend, Montana could be the perfect match for you. My adoption comes with a free month of training from GoodPup.com to ease me into my new home and help me bond with my new family.

Story
Vin is a big puppy! He’s active, alert, friendly, and enjoys attention. Sometimes he gets a little jumpy when he gets excited, but he tones it down if he’s told “off.” He also knows “sit” and “down.” He’s a great dog and super sweet, loves to cuddle but might be a bit too much for a family with small kids or little dogs. He would probably be okay with other big dogs if introductions are done slowly and carefully. Come to the Burbank Animal Shelter today to meet Vin!My adoption comes with a free month of training from GoodPup.com to ease me into my new home and help me bond with my new family.

Bertha would do best as the only animal in the household, no other animals is a must!Bertha LOVES to play fetch! This girl could undoubtedly go for hours and she is an exceptional playmate. She will fetch her toy, drop it at your feet and never try to grab it back while you’re picking it up. She knows sit and lie down and seems to be very obedient and loving. She`s super friendly, and we think she would be a wonderful companion for an active person who loves to play with their dog. We also think she would be great on hikes!

Story
Daphne is a 2 year old Lab Mix that weighs 45 lbs. She was rescued in Tijuana with her siblings at six months of age, they were found living under a trash dumpster. She is very shy at first meeting with women and does appear to be very fearful of men so a female only home would be preferred. She is a very affectionate pup who loves to play with her toys and dog buddies. Daphne sleeps on bed with foster, as opposed to being crated most of the time previously. She gets along great with cats and dogs of all sizes. Daphne is up-to-date on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. Hello, furriends! My name is Milo the black lab! I'm kind, gentle, and full of love. My tail never stops wagging! I always have a big doggy smile, and I get along well with everyone I meet (other dogs and humans alike)! I have met older children and do very well with them. I love to snuggle and I love getting pet all over. I also enjoy going on walks and adventures. Despite my amazing personality, I had a ruff start to life. I was being sold for MEAT! That's right-- I was on a scary slaughter truck when some kind humans stopped the truck and saved my life. Boy, am I glad to be free! Please consider adopting me and giving me all the snuggles I've ever dreamed of. Story
Austin is a dog that has taken a long ride on The Rescue Train. He was only seven months old when Hurricane Harvey hit Texas and he was a survivor. He had post-traumatic stress when he arrived at our rescue in Los Angeles and needed a lot of rehabilitation. We worked with dog trainers and our vet to get Austin to become whole again. All our hard work has paid off and Austin is ready to go home. He has always had a wonderful temperament and with a lot of focus on training has relaxed into the dog we always knew he could be. Austin is a medium to high energy Labrador/Vizsla/Hound mix born in 2017. Weighing in at 55lbs. He is an exuberant pup, yet has sweetness to his soul. Austin can be goofy when he plays and it’s hilarious to watch him. He loves to run and throw his toys in the yard and for that reason he would not be a good apartment dog. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body but because of his strength and enthusiasm, we do not want to place him in a home with small dogs or small children. If he were to live with another dog, it should be a calm dog similar in size/age and they would need to be properly introduced. His current foster home also includes cats. Our dog trainer thinks Austin is a fabulous dog. Whomever adopts Austin, needs to be committed to providing him with structure for the first couple of months so he can settle in. He would do best with an experienced large breed dog owner that knows structure. We have crate trained him so that will help this process for an adopter. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. If you can open your heart and home to Austin, please fill out our application. He is ready to WAG HIS WAY INTO YOUR HEART! Don't forget to check out his video on this page! --- If you are interested in adopting Austin please fill out our adoption application by clicking this LINK. Applications are required PRIOR to meeting one of our animals and are used to set up a safe and successful adoption. Please don't be shy and answer the questions thoroughly. To learn more about our entire process please visit www.therescuetrain.org and click on the "Adopt A Dog" page. PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT OWN A FACILITY. Our animals are in private foster homes. Amazing loving Hazel... her time was up... like really up. I kept getting hit up by her fans to bring to my attention that I could save her life. I did.. am so happy about this decision. She is only 10 months old, full of life and love. She was clearly not treated well somewhere in her life since she will roll on her back when she thinks someone is going to hurt her. We will show her that life has now changed. She loves dogs and people. Hazel walks great on a leash and would be a phenomenal 2nd dog or a dog for kids. She is only 10 mo old and weighs 45 pounds. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. Story
About Me: Hi, I'm Olive! I had a rough start and was surrendered to a veterinary office where my future was uncertain. Luckily, a kind trainer took me in and helped me become the well-trained pup I am today! Personality: I'm a shy and skittish girl, but once I warm up to you, I'm a loyal companion. I need a patient family who understands my past trauma and is willing to give me the time and space I need to feel comfortable. I may be wary of strangers, but I'm full of love for those who show me kindness. Ideal Home: I'm looking for a calm and understanding family who will give me the love and patience I need to thrive. I prefer quiet environments and would do best in a home without too much hustle and bustle. I love the outdoors, especially the beach or a hike, so a family who enjoys outdoor adventures would be perfect for me! I also get along well with other well-trained, mild-tempered dogs. Health: I'm in good health and fully trained thanks to my wonderful trainer. I'm up-to-date on all my vaccinations and ready to find my forever home. ##1630754##
