Story
HENRY THE FABULOUS!!! HE IS AWESOME!!!! He is so sweet and easy. He loves hiking, playing, snuggling and lounging in a pool! He appears to be a mix of Labrador and Dalmatian, with that type of energy. He is about 7 years young and full of pep and energy and loves to play! He is a darling gentleman. His best friend is a female pup named Malibu Barbie and they are all love. There is not enough room for all his pictures. We are trying to update. He is a medium size and loves to go for walks, hikes, the beach, and give love! He's also VERY DOG FRIENDLY. He absolutely loves life and is great with all dogs! He is gentle enough to keep a cancer dog company. He seems to be nervous around younger kids when they want to get to close or hug him. So we can only say he is best with older teens age 16 to adults to have a great life of fun! He deserves the best home and to be the best friend that he wants to be! Henry is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and micro-chipped. If you are interested in adopting him please fill out an application today. Applications can be found on our website www.LindaBlairWorldheart.org Southern California adoptions only due to home checks. Story
Montana was found as a stray here in Burbank. He is not even a full year old yet and this definitely shows when he plays with other dogs in our Dogs Playing for Life playgroup. He tends to be very energetic and riles everyone up when he comes in. We think he would do well with another dog in the household to show him the ropes but the other dog will need to be social and willing to tolerate his puppy like behavior. We are not sure about cats. Don`t let his defensive behavior in his kennel fool you, he is a big softie once he is away from all of the noise and stress of the kennels. His adopter will need to commit to being able to train him and teach him how to behave, we are not sure what training he has already received. We think he would do best with middle school kids and older, preferably ones that have been around extra large dogs before. Montana would do best in a home with access to a moderate to large sized yard for him to run and play.If the above sounds like you please call us at (818)238-3340 or stop by during our business hours to set up an adoption screening appointment.

Story
notes from volunteers about Vin on a mobile event: Vin is a big puppy! He even sort of flops around like one. Friendly, enjoys attention, had a relaxed body all day. Plays with toys. Walks well on leash but can pull, he is strong. Leans in for attentions. Takes treats gently. Active and alert, friendly with all ages. --mmNotes from Handler: Vin spent the day with Mobile at the Petsmart in Monrovia on 2/3. We had a nice day out as he enjoyed walking, sniffing, playing, and cuddling.Getting him in and out of the kennel was easy and he rode quietly over to the venue. He stood patiently while he was being harnessed. Then we took a long walk around the area. He walks nicely on leash without pulling unless he is trying to catch up to the other dogs in which case he pulls like crazy (I was happy to have a strong leash and harness on him so that I could get him to go the other way). When we got back to our area, Vin settled down near the other mobile dogs (2 yards apart) and he relaxed with some toys. He let me pet him while he chewed on his toys and he cuddled and rolled around happily. He likes squeaky toys and balls. When Chet left for a walk he went over and grabbed one of the toys that he had been playing with and that became his new favorite. He also enjoyed kicking his ball around and even passed it over to Captain who quickly took possession of it.He was calm and relaxed around the other dogs that he knew but when a strange dog passed through the area he became very alert (ears and tail up) and made rumbly noises in is throat until they were out of the area. When we walked through the store he didn’t seem to mind the other dogs in the store and just looked at them with interest. There weren’t too many people passing through this time, but Vin seemed happy to meet the ones that did come over. He enjoyed getting petted and scratched and he gave lots of kisses. Sometimes he gets a little jumpy when he gets excited, but he toned it down if he was told “off”. He knows “sit” and “down” and will stay lying down if there is no perceived threat. He’s a great dog and super sweet but might be a bit too much for a family with small kids or little dogs. He would probably be okay with other big dogs if introductions are done slowly and carefully.

Say hello to Pepper! She`s a black Labrador Retriever mix. We think she is about 4 years old. She`ll bark for attention when she`s in her kennel, but once you take her out she`s super friendly and a real sweetie. She already knows `sit` and was a total playful and friendly ham at her photo session. She`d love to be the newest member of your family. We are not sure about other animals. If there are already dogs in the household, a meet and greet is required. Not sure about cats, but Pepper should be fine with respectful kids.

Story
Paris is a beautiful black lab mix with the gentlest heart for people. She loves making new human friends but most of all loves being home with family and relaxing! She wants to cuddle all the time and lounge on the couch together while watching TV and giving you kisses. Paris loves food and will always be excited for commands or training when it comes with snacks! Paris would make the perfect dog for a family that wants a low energy, very well behaved girl, who's more than happy to be at home alone for a few hours when everybody's busy (she likes her naps) Paris does get very jealous of other dogs with her humans so she would love to have a family to herself, it's not impossible to get her accustomed to other dogs but she prefers people. She is up-to-date on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. If you are interested in Paris, please complete the application on our website: www.adoptmerescue.org.

Story
Daphne is a 2 year old Lab Mix that weighs 45 lbs. She was rescued in Tijuana with her siblings at six months of age, they were found living under a trash dumpster. She is very shy at first meeting with women and does appear to be very fearful of men so a female only home would be preferred. She is a very affectionate pup who loves to play with her toys and dog buddies. Daphne sleeps on bed with foster, as opposed to being crated most of the time previously. She gets along great with cats and dogs of all sizes. Daphne is up-to-date on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. Story
Meet Sam, a 1 ½ year old mostly Lab with possible pittie mix. Sam’s current owner adopted him from the animal shelter, where he came in as a stray. Unfortunately, Sam’s owner doesn’t have enough time to spend with him and would like to find him a family that does. He’s a 60-lb boy who has lots of energy. Sam is friendly, loving and well-behaved. He does well with children & other dogs, is house-trained & crate trained, up to date on vaccines and neutered. The ideal family for Sam is one that is active daily, has plenty of time to spend with him and would enjoy quality time doing outdoor activities. Does Sam sound like the perfect fit your active lifestyle and family? If you’re interested in adopting Sam apply here! www.pawsoflarescue.org/adopt

Maggie is a 2-1/2 month old Lab mix puppy that was found tied up in a box left in a park in a bad area of Los Angeles. A good Samaritan took her in but was unable to keep her so we were happy to bring into our group. She is very sweet, loves all people and other dogs. She is in process of getting all her vaccines and will be spayed soon. We think she will be a medium sized dog, maybe 35-40 lbs. Story
If you are interested, please email the completed Questionnaire to swood-levin@burbankca.gov Raven is a German Short Haired Pointer. Her energy is a “10”! She checks all of the boxes of her breed type. She bonds quickly to people, likes children of all ages (although she is powerful, which may not be safe for younger ones) She’s friendly and can be submissive with people and other dogs. She really enjoys socializing. She’s cooperative during grooming time and has not shown any negative food reactivity. She’s been living in a foster home, and they report that her indoor manners are good. She is housebroken, doesn’t jump on beds/furniture or scratch doors. She is smart and eager to please although her unbridled energy and excitement requires patience. Raven is an intense hunter. She hunts all creatures, large and small, becoming EXTREMELY focused, making it difficult to distract her. A home with cats would be a problem. Raven craves affection. She has separation anxiety and has been fortunate that her foster parents are retired and are at home with her a lot. She was prescribed medication for her separation anxiety, but is was not helpful, so she will need to go to a home where she is not left alone for long periods of time and the adopter is understanding of this condition. A home with other dogs could resolve this issue a bit. Raven has fireworks sensitivity as most dogs do. She loves to play ball and take long, daily, walks. This beautiful girl is an elite athlete, requiring plenty of exercise. She would do well with some who runs or hikes daily and has the patience needed for her special type of breed. Please understand, because she has been in a foster home for quite a while now, we are fortunate enough to know and understand Raven’s quirks and needs and because our goal is to get her into a permanent home, potential adopters will have to be active, tolerant/patient, experienced and loving of this breed.
