contact foster parent at michelek.travel@gmail.comCat reactivepotty trainedsleeps through the nightlow key she is a Netflix & chill kind of girlShe would do well with a older adult who desires a little calm companyShe likes my senior dog Oliver but hates Cooper who has never ending energy. She barks when she sees them playing. She loves to snuggle up next to anyone... she tries to play, but you can tell she hasn`t had much experience. Her previous situation has limited her experience and exposure other animals & children. The only quirk I can think of other than being cat reactive is that if you try to physically move her by pushing gently on her - she does NOT like that. Instead, if you need her moved, use commands or put a leash on her and she will follow you anywhere.

Story
Please contact foster parent at marcos@houndstownusa.comPreston did great on his first staycation but found out some more things about this happy dude. He would do better with older kids, doesn’t love the screaming and activeness of little kids. He is a super excitable dog and would need some mental and physical stimulation early in the day to set him for success for the rest of the day. Definitely a leash puller, who needs help not feeling overstimulated outside. Overall, such a happy and good boy and with the right environment and human willing to train him would be an amazing companion. Preston has been with us for almost a month now and is such a sweet boy! He truly loves to just cuddle up! He is an angel in the house and will relax with you all day if that’s what you want to do! Outside he does have a high prey drive and will become fixated on bunnies or squirrels. However with some high value treats he is learning to refocus on us instead. He does become overstimulated in high traffic areas and would need time to adjust and learn to relax in those type of settings. Again, he is pretty food motivated and with some patience and consistency he would excel at his training. Overall, he would do well in a quieter environment with someone who is able to give him the time and dedication to his training so he knows the rule of our human world!

Story
Please contact foster parent at kristencoughlin@earthlink.net•crate trained- He actually has shown signs of separation anxiety, so we’re starting to work on that with training. While he’s actually quite comfortable in/around the crate, he starts to bark and tunnel once left alone. He will enter the crate on his own when the door is left open, so it seems like the anxiety is more so the issue than the crate itself. •house broken - Mulligan seems to be fully housebroken. •play style/energy level (lot of walks vs chill dog)- He is great about settling once he realizes it’s time to relax. If you sit down on the couch, he’ll pretty quickly lay down at your feet and take a nap. That being said, he loves being active and going to walks. He’s playful and energetic, but not out of control.•if they know any commands (if so, what)- Mulligan knows sit and stay. He’s far more motivated to perform these commands if there’s a treat involved, though. He’s smart and picks up quick. We’ve taught him to sit at crosswalks and at doors until we tell him “okay!”•how they walk on a leash (do they pull/need a harness vs loose leash w/ no pulling)- We didn’t notice any pulling at first, but as he’s gotten more settled, it’s come out a bit. The harness helps, so I would recommend that over just a collar. • if they`re good with cats/kids/other dogs, etc- We haven’t had him around other dogs yet outside of sidewalk interactions (at a distance) while he’s out on a walk. He’s recovering from kennel cough, so once that clears up we may try him around other dogs; however, he’s shown some signs of leash aggression, so we want to be cautious. He’s so sweet though, so I know it probably comes from fear and anxiety. No idea about cats or kids yet. •anything else fun or unique about the dog- He loves to “hug” and will (very very gently) hop up to give you some love. He loves treats so much that when you tell him to “sit” for a treat he’ll sit back so fast his booty slides across the floor. He curls up SO tight sometimes when he lays down that you’d swear you have a burnt croissant laying in your living room. He loves riding in the car and is a very well behaved passenger.
