Story
Meet Stella!Stella is a 1.5 year old, 30 pounds black lab mix who is fully convinced she was designed to be a lap dog. If you sit down, Stella assumes that’s her cue. Personal bubble? Never heard of it.She is crate trained, house trained, and professionally talented at: Climbing directly into your lap like she’s been summoned; Flopping onto her back with dramatic flair; Collecting belly rubs as if they’re part of her daily job requirements. Stella is spayed and up-to-date with all her vaccines.Stella is energetic, wiggly, and wildly loving. Give her a toy and she’s your best friend for life. She plays hard, loves big, and can get a little mouthy when she’s excited — so she’d do best in a home with older kids who understand playful puppy energy and don’t mind a little extra enthusiasm. Stella did have a broken leg when she was a puppy that didn`t heal correctly, however it does not slow her down or cause her any problems. Now let’s talk personality. Stella prefers to be the star of the show. She would thrive as your one-and-only pup, soaking up all the attention. With thoughtful introductions, she would also do well with a calm, easygoing dog who’s happy to let her take the lead. Stella can be protective of her meals around other dogs. If she shares a home with another pup, she’ll simply need to be fed separately to keep everyone happy and stress-free. She would due best in a home with space to move, therefore apartment living wouldn`t be appropriate. Stella has energy to burn and would likely be happiest in a home with a yard or room to stretch those legs and get her zoomies out.Stella bonds deeply, loves fiercely, and brings full-body wiggles wherever she goes. She’s equal parts cuddle bug and chaos gremlin — and she’s ready for a family who appreciates both.Adopt Stella — because life is better with a dog who thinks your lap is home.To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquires but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Meet Donald!Donald (Donnie) is a very sweet 2-year-old lab/possibly pointer mix boy. He is very attached to his human and does have some separation anxiety. He is on medications daily to help with this anxiety. Donald does get bored easily and prefers a lot of activity so he can relax! He plays well with any dogs- whether it’s the dogs he lives with or ones he meets for the first time. He is not bothered by cats and would love to play with them too, but my cat is not interested . He would prefer to have someone home with him at all times, but he does go in a crate and is crate trained. Although, he needs an indestructible crate because he is so smart that he is able to get out of a simple wire crate. He will hang out right next to you while you are working around house or working in the yard. If he wanders to smell the smells he will come right back when you call his name. He loves to go on car rides and is very well behaved. He will sleep on the end of bed with you or on his bed on the floor right next to you. He is able to jump over 6 foot privacy fences- he is quite the acrobat! Most of the time he does this to get to his human! He would do best to live in a home with other dogs, a human that is home most of the time so his separation anxiety remains well managed— poor guy was very lonely early in life. He is super sweet, smart- he opens doors that have the lever type door knobs and extremely loyal and faithful companion! He loves people (including kids), other dogs and wants so much to be apart of a sweet, loving family. Donald`s needs a home that has a fence, a big yard to run and play and other dogs to play and get his energy out. He would love to have an owner that is home the majority of time- a little land (farm) may be perfect for this sweet boy!To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquires but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Meet Jax!Jax is a beautiful solid black 3 year old lab mix pup. He`s funny, playful and a loving boy and follows some commands. Jax is pretty intelligent and has had some training but he`s still very uncomfortable around strangers. He will need more training and socialization to help him overcome his fears. Jax gets a long great with his foster sisters but needs slow introduction to strange dogs. He`s never been around children so I don`t recommend small children in the home. Jax is really a great boy and may love someone much more active. He doesn`t chew on anything in the home but watch those Kleenexes!!To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. Story
Meet Peter! Peter is an 11-month-old Lab mix with a big heart, big energy, and an even bigger love for his people. This sweet, playful boy is still very much a puppy at heart and is looking for a home that’s ready to embrace his fun-loving, active spirit. He’s house trained and crate trained, which gives him a great foundation. Peter loves kids — especially the kind who want to run, play, and toss a ball around with him. He thrives on interaction and would do wonderfully with a family that enjoys being active and involved.Peter is dog-friendly with slow, proper introductions. When he feels insecure, he can be reactive toward other dogs, so he’ll need thoughtful guidance and a confident handler to help him continue building positive experiences. With structure and patience, he does well — he just needs someone willing to advocate for him and set him up for success. He’s high energy and currently working on his leash manners, so continued training will be important. The good news? He’s a sweet boy who wants to please and will benefit greatly from consistency and clear leadership.Peter isn’t just looking for a home — he’s looking for someone who will help him grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. If you’re ready for an affectionate, energetic sidekick who will love you wholeheartedly, Peter is ready to meet you.

Story
Meet Grady!Grady is a one-year-old sweetheart who was born in our care and has grown up with a mix of boarding and foster life. He may be deaf, but don’t tell him that—he’s too busy living his best life, learning hand signals, and mastering routines like a pro. Plus, he’s house trained, respectful, and eager to please. This social butterfly thrives with other dogs and would love a playful pup buddy to wrestle, zoom, and nap alongside. (Dog friends: big yes. Cats: absolutely not, he says with confidence.)Grady is goofy, lovable, and full of charm—an easy boy to fall for and the perfect partner for someone ready to communicate in new, fun ways. He’s grown up waiting for his person… now he’s ready to finally go home.If you’re looking for a loyal, joyful companion who’s all heart, Grady is ready to hear you out—figuratively speaking. ??????To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. Story
Meet Buddy! This is a story of a heartbreaking goodbye, but a hopeful new beginning.Buddy is a 6 year old golden-hearted pup who has spent his life being the loyal companion to his elderly parents. He’s been their shadow, their gentle comfort, reason for exercise and now, due to circumstances beyond their control, they’re having to say goodbye. Raised in a quiet, loving home, Buddy is calm, well-mannered, and deeply affectionate. He understands the value of personal space and is incredibly gentle when he needs to be, but full of life and playful too, making him the perfect fit for families with kids, other dogs, or anyone looking for an easygoing best friend. He loves all the simple doggy things; playing ball in the yard, going on walks, splashing in the water, and curling up beside you after a day of fun. His heart is as big as his love for life.Buddy’s parents are heartbroken to part with him, but they know he deserves a home where he’ll continue to be cherished, played with, and deeply loved. At 90 years old, this is no longer what their home can provide and per doctor’s orders, Buddy needs to find a new adventure. Could that home be yours? If you’re looking for a dog who already knows how to love and be loved, please choose Buddy.Let’s honor the love of the people who raised him by finding Buddy a family that will cherish him just as much.To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt.
