Story
Meet Haiku!Haiku is one of the sweetest mama dogs you’ll ever meet! She absolutely adores people and has a wonderfully gentle temperament. Calm and well-mannered around both humans and other dogs, Haiku has not yet been tested with cats. This loving girl was found as a stray near Aledo Ranch, where one of our team members rescued her from the streets. Now, she’s thriving in her foster home with six college students, soaking up all the love and attention she can get!Haiku is a low-maintenance companion who prefers lounging in the sun over long walks—she won’t go more than a mile! She would be a perfect fit for a family with or without children, as she’s happiest simply being around her people and snuggling. However, Haiku does have a few impressive skills—she can jump an 8-foot fence and even open her crate! Because of this, she’ll need a securely fenced yard to keep her safe.To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Meet Jax!Jax is a beautiful solid black 2 year old lab mix pup. He`s funny, playful and a loving boy and follows some commands. Jax is pretty intelligent and has had some training but he`s still very uncomfortable around strangers. He will need more training and socialization to help him overcome his fears. Jax gets a long great with his foster sisters but needs slow introduction to strange dogs. He`s never been around children so I don`t recommend small children in the home. Jax is really a great boy and may love someone much more active. He doesn`t chew on anything in the home but watch those Kleenexs!!To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. Story
Meet Dottie!Dottie is the poster child for a love bug! This 9 month old Lab/Pyr mix is so sweet, loves everyone and everything and just wants her own people to love. She hasn’t met a dog she didn’t like, she’s super aloof to them initially but once play is initiated, she is all for it! She has been going for daily walks and does wonderful. She has all basic training down and is fully house broken. Her crate is still a slight work in progress but she is quickly getting the hang of it. Loud sudden noises do spook her but with some reassurance she moves on. She will let out a bark when someone comes through the door since she cannot see who it is but once she hears your voice and smells you, she is very happy to see you. She was previously in a home that children visited and did very well with them. She was also with a cat that she didn’t bother at all. She is on anxiety medication for situational anxiety but with time and patience she won’t need those medications any longer. If you want a best friend and someone to cuddle with this is your girl!To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. He will follow you around the house and sit at your feet while you do your chores. He is working on crate and potty training. He already goes potty on the puppy pads. He LOVES to snuggle!! He’s learning what a leash is and is doing great! Zelen would be great as the only dog in the family or would fit right in with a home with other pets. She loves being active—chasing bugs in the yard, going on walks (still working on that leash pulling!), and being wherever her people are.She would do great in a home with another dog to help show her the ropes, but she’s also independent enough to be perfectly happy as the only dog.
