Rocky is a three months old Black Labrador Retriever mix. The back of his shiny black coat is changing to a wavy texture, which is a common feature to some Labs. He has a little white goatee to match the white spot on his chest. Such a handsome puppy! Rocky and his littermates (Sergeant, Eleanor, Rita, Prudence, and Penny) spent 12 long days at a city shelter. Shelter life is tough on such young puppies, and they came to Humane Tomorrow underweight, missing some hair, and scared! Rocky is now thriving in his foster home. He has a sweet, temperament and loves to be petted. His favorite things are toys of all types, wrestling with the big dog in his foster home, napping in a soft doggie bed, and MEAL time! He also likes to collect toys in his bed, and the occasional shoe that foster mom leaves within his reach. He doesn't chew it, just keeps it near! This is one of the hardest decisions we’ve ever had to make, and we want to be honest with you about why we’re looking for a new family for him. Between our repeated travels, our last child almost heading off to college, and now downsizing our home, we’ve had to face the reality that we can no longer give Cooper the consistent time, space, and attention he deserves. He has been such a big part of our lives since December 2018, and the thought of him not being with us every day is painful. But we love him enough to put his needs first. Cooper came to us from a wonderful breeder in Northern California (Dustin Retrievers). We had originally gone looking for a white Lab, but when my husband arrived to meet the puppies, this little guy — the smallest and most playful of the litter — walked straight up to him. That was the moment we knew he was meant to be ours.We are looking for a family who will appreciate his affectionate nature and give him the stability and companionship he thrives on.

Looking for a watchdog? Well, keep on scrolling because Buzz is not the dog for you. He loves everyone! Never meets a stranger! Buzz was adopted as a puppy (puppy photo included), but his family had some situations that made it impossible for them to keep him. We promised them that we would find another great home for Buzz. He is doing fantastic in his current foster home. He LOVES other dogs, he is fully housetrained, knows basic skills, and even a few tricks. Buzz enjoys retrieving a ball and playing tug. Cara is a two year old Lab mix. She only weighs 30 lbs, and her breed mix is just our best guess, so we are calling her a "Half-Pint Lab" She was rescued, along with several other dogs, from a horrible situation where she was literally living in a trash heap. She was underweight when she arrived but is steadily gaining weight, now that she is getting plenty of yummy food. Foster mom says, despite her past, she is sweet, affectionate and playful! She enjoys fetch, tug, and chase, and is always up for a good sniffy walk (her harness works great!). She’s eager to learn, potty trained, crate-friendly, and comes when called - especially to whistles, lip smacks, or “Skip”, which is the resident dog’s name. She's very social and enjoys the company of other dogs and is also happy hanging around nearby when foster mom is working. She's never been separated during the day more than 4 hours for potty training reasons, and she does not have "accidents". Cuddly and with happy energy, a good mix of fun and snuggles. Fair warning - keep your shoes tucked away - she’s a curious girl and still mastering her puppy manners. She'll make a great Best Friend for a lucky someone! Cara has heartworms because she was not kept on heartworm prevention, but Humane Tomorrow will pay for her treatment with our partner vet, and the treatments are very successful. Meet Angus, an 8 month old, 49 lb Labrador Retriever mix. He has a shiney black coat with chocolate highlights. We are guessing he is a Black Lab/Chocolate Lab mix. Foster mom says he has a sweet, affectionate personality and an independent streak that makes him a joy to foster. He loves spending time with his people, but is also content to entertain himself, often using the doggy door to head outside and relax in the grass with his favorite toy. Angus is fully house-trained with no accidents. He sleeps through the night in his crate. Angus gets along well with other dogs and has met several new dogs successfully. He enjoys canine play and can be enthusiastic, so intitial introductions should be supervised. His puppy play style may not be appreciated by older or more laid-back dogs. Angus loves taking walks and has excellent leash manners. Angus has been impressive around kids. He recently spent time with a dog-savvy 4-year old and was gentle, showing no jumping or nipping behavior. He offers a wonderful combination of affection, confidence, and independence, making him a great companion for an active family or individual looking for a loving young dog with lots of potential.

Pepper is approximately 4 Months old and weighs 25 pounds. She will probably be about 50-55 pounds when grown. She is easy to work with and a complete love-bug. Pepper does well on the leash and she goes on a daily walk with one of our other dogs. Pepper has been excellent with feeding, potty training, and crate training. Pepper seems to do well on short car rides. She currently lives with 3 other dogs and gets along well with them. Pepper is friendly but she is shy with new people. She would do well with a family with older children that have been exposed to dogs and knows how to be gentle. Pepper is leash, house and crate trained. She has not been in a home with cats so we don't know how she would react to one. Overall, Pepper is just an awesome, pretty chill dog. She loves her belly rubs and being pet (her fur is so soft). She loves to play with her toys, she loves playing and napping with the other dogs.
