Story
Meet Ziggy — Your Big, Bouncy Best Friend!Ziggy is a 3ish-year-old oversized goofball with the heart of a puppy and the body of a 65 pound marshmallow. He is a Lab Pit mix with the classic Lab build and that adorable square pittie head that makes him look like he was born for head scratches. This boy LOVES life. Everything is exciting. Toys? Exciting. Walks? Super exciting. New people? VERY exciting. He is the dog version of “WOOHOO!” wrapped in fur.Ziggy plays great with other dogs and reads the room surprisingly well. If a dog tells him “Hey dude, chill,” he politely backs off. His size can be a little intimidating at first glance, but his personality is all sunshine. He is friendly with dogs of all sizes although his enthusiasm might be a bit much for small or timid pups.He is also an A plus water dog who loves to play outside, splash, swim, and then come inside for a good chill session. When it is bedtime or downtime, he settles in after about fifteen minutes and becomes a cuddly, snoring couch ornament.Ziggy is:• House and kennel trained• A great walker although he still pulls a little because he is strong• A playful chewer when bored so he should be kenneled when unsupervised• A sweetheart with people but can be jumpy at first because he is excited to say hello• A bit clueless about his size which makes him feel like a giant toddler in a medium large bodyBecause of his enthusiasm and occasional jumping or leash pulling, Ziggy would benefit from an adopter willing to continue a little basic training at home. He is smart, eager to please, and will absolutely thrive with a family who gives him structure and love.If you love big happy wiggly dogs who bring laughter into every room they enter, Ziggy is your guy. He will make every walk every play session and every lazy afternoon feel like an adventure. He just needs a family who loves him back.

I’m Boosie (60976319) a 1 year old Retriever mix. I’m already a smart girl who knows SIT, SHAKE, and DOWN, I also love affection and being close to my people. I’m sweet, friendly, playful, and always ready to make someone smile. Honestly, a girl like me should be stretched out in a loving home instead of waiting in a shelter kennel. I’m ready to be your loyal best friend, adventure buddy, and oversized cuddle bug for life   Check out all the adoptable animals on the shelter's website! https://www.collincountytx.gov/Services/Animal-Services/adoptable-pets All adoptions include spay/neuter, microchip and first round of vaccinations. Story
"Dixie is a sweet 5-month-old Labrador Terrier mix born February8th,2026. She's crate trained and knows sit, down, paw, and wait. She's doing well with potty training. Usually nose bumps the door when she needs out, but still has an occasional accident if not let out in time. She's playful, energetic, loves walks and playtime, and still gets puppy zoomies and occasional gentle nipping at clothes. She's shy or cautious in new situations, still learning how to interact with unfamiliar people(adults mainly) and other dogs. She tends to bark or want to get closer out of excitement or uncertainty, not aggression. She'll come with her crate, toys, treats, and supplies. Looking for a loving home that can provide regular exercise, continued training, and patience. I'd want to speak with potential adopters and make sure she's going to a great fitting home. She still has puppy tendencies with training she will improve quickly

Story
I adopted Robin in 2023 from The Colony Animal Shelter. She is a high-energy, anxious, loving dog! She is ALL kisses and loves playing rough with her siblings. She is my sweet girl; however, she deserves more than I can give her at the moment due to school and work. If you love walks and outside time, she is your girl!

Story
Marshall is about 5 years old and has been with us since we rescued him from a shelter 4.5 years ago. He’s about 95 lbs, possibly a Lab/Great Pyrenees mix. He loves cuddles, attention, lounging outside, and walks, and he does great on a leash. He lives with our other Lab and two young kids, gets along well with our dog, and mostly ignores the children. Marshall is a wonderful dog, but he’s high maintenance. He’s anxious about many things (water, the vet, hot air balloons, and sometimes even familiar things like his crate), has allergies that can lead to yeast infections, has had a few seizures over the past 3 years, and sheds a lot. We believe Marshall would thrive with a family that has a little land, older kids to play with, and the time to provide the attention and routine medical care he needs. We love him deeply, and this has been an incredibly difficult decision, but we know he deserves a home that better fits his needs.
