Story
Koa is one sweet guy! This handsome 4-year-old lab mix is ready for a fresh start. He's still learning that the world isn't scary and is looking for experienced adopters to help him build his confidence and blossom into the dog he dreams of being! Koa can be more nervous around men and is hoping his new family will be patient with him as he settles into his new home. Once Koa feels comfortable, he's full of playful energy and will keep you smiling. Koa has met a couple dogs and done well, though any introductions to resident pets should be done slowly. He is looking for a home without cats. Koa will likely do best with dog-experienced teens (16+) and adults and would love to live in a quiet neighborhood where he can go for sidewalk strolls. He is not a fit for an apartment or condo environment. If you're ready to welcome home this precious pooch, fill out an adoption application today! *Koa is in a foster home and not located in the shelter.

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Meet Mojo – The Dog Who Literally Brings the Good Vibes! Name: Mojo Breed: Lab/Heeler mix (with a dash of pure awesomeness) Age: About 3 years Weight: 45–50 lbs of cuddle-powered perfection Let’s just get straight to the point: Mojo is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!!!!!!! (Yes, that many exclamation points are necessary.) This boy is the definition of “getting your mojo back.” His name fits him to a T – he’s got that magical, feel-good energy that makes every day brighter just by being in it. Bad day? Mojo fixes that. Need a smile? Mojo’s on it. Want a loyal sidekick for life? Congratulations, you found him. And speaking of smiles… Mojo comes equipped with the CUTEST little trademark look – one ear perked up like he’s listening to your every word, and the other adorably flopped over like, “I’m also casually adorable.” It’s impossible to look at him and not grin. Mojo came from the streets, but you’d never know it. He acts like he’s been a beloved family dog his whole life. He is 100% house trained, perfectly mannered, and while he knows how to use a kennel, he absolutely doesn’t need one. He’s calm, confident, and has zero anxiety once he settles in. Basically, he’s the dog everyone dreams of. His ideal home? Pretty much ANY home that wants a dog to be part of everything! Mojo LOVES: • Kids • Car rides (seriously, he rides like a little gentleman) • Going out in public • Busy households • Belly rubs (his absolute favorite!) • Chew bones • Company, laughter, and togetherness He is AMAZING with other dogs, wonderful with kids, and just an all-around social butterfly. Cats are unknown, but with his easygoing personality, he’s likely to charm them too. And let’s talk about the extra cute stuff… Mojo is a Grade A, gold-medal, professional cuddle butt. He will happily curl up next to you, lean into you, or sprawl out in the most impressive full-body SPLoot when he stretches. (It’s an art form, really.) Feeling emotional? Mojo will notice. He has a built-in comfort sensor and will come sit right by you like, “It’s okay, human, I’ve got you.” All while giving you that sweet one-ear-up, one-ear-down look that melts hearts on contact. He’s the kind of dog who fits in anywhere – family BBQs, soccer games, road trips, Netflix nights, morning coffee on the porch. If you want a dog who can do ALL the things and do them with a happy tail and a goofy grin, Mojo is your guy. In summary: Perfect manners ✔ Perfect temperament ✔ Perfect adventure buddy ✔ Perfect couch potato ✔ Perfect ear situation ✔ Perfect best friend ✔ If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, joyful companion who will bring laughter, love, and a whole lot of MOJO into your life… well, here he is. Apply today at haydudeequine.org and get ready to meet the dog you’ve been waiting for!

Story
Animal Profile: Wiley is a 1-year-old male Lab/Husky  X (guessing) who joined us along with his siblings from Texas. The puppies were taken from an overcrowded property by Animal Control and went into foster care with our rescue partner. Wiley is a happy sweet pup, doing well in his foster home, friendly with dogs, and older kids. Foster Update:   Wiley is a smart, fluffy goofball who is both crate trained and house trained. He knows all his basic commands, has an energetic and playful style, and walks nicely on leash. He spent several weeks in the care of a professional trainer, is e-collar trained, and continues to build confidence every day. Wiley has been enjoying the great outdoors of the PNW and has even started going to work with his foster, where he’s meeting lots of new people. He takes some time to warm up but forms strong bonds once he trusts you. Wiley would do best as the only dog in an active home with someone who has breed experience and a securely fenced yard. He is not a good fit for toddlers, though older children with dog experience should be fine. He’s also a bit of a talker, so an apartment setting wouldn’t be ideal. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog is being transferred from  Animal Advocacy & Rescue our partner in Del Rio Texas and arriving via Byrdie Express to the Seattle area. This dog will be fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated in foster care.January 25, 2026, 11:35 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Licorice wound up in the Stanislaus shelter as a stray and had been there for 20 days. When no one came to adopt him, he wound up on ‘the list’ and was at risk for euthanasia due to space. We had to bust him outta there! He is a friendly, sweet puppy that deserves a chance to find a loving home. Foster Update:  Meet Licorice! This handsome 9-month-old mixed breed is as sweet as his name! Licorice currently weighs around 50 lbs and is growing into a strong, happy boy. He's a smart, playful pup who learns quickly and already knows most of his basic training. He's crate trained, neutered, and up to date on vaccines. He's ready to join his forever family! Licorice gets along wonderfully with other dogs and loves having a playmate to chase and wrestle with. His favorite activities include playing with sticks and balls, going for car rides, and spending time with his people — whether that means joining you on an adventure or snuggling up afterward. He'd be happiest in a home with a yard where he can stretch his legs, play fetch, and explore. Licorice is an excitable young and strong dog who will need physical and mental stimulation daily for fulfillment.   Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. He arrives in Seattle on 09/11/2025 via START rescue transport and will be available for adoption once evaluated in foster care.  January 20, 2026, 8:29 pm

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org ☀️🐾 Meet Hank — Built of Sunshine, Wiggles, and Pure Puppy Joy 🐾☀️ Male • 3–4 Months Old • ~35 lbs (and growing!) Hank is what happens when you mix a professional-grade puppy, a heart of solid gold, and a warm copper colored coat...you get one happy handsome wiggle master! At 3–4 months old, Hank is deep in the all gas, no brakes puppy stage. His days are filled with joyful chaos, enthusiastic greetings, and the kind of happy energy that turns normal moments into core memories. He’s playful, affectionate, and wildly charming — the kind of pup who doesn’t just enter a room, he announces himself with wiggles. What Life with Hank Looks Like: • Full-body tail wagging (rear end included) • Surprise zoomies at highly inappropriate times • Slobbery kisses given freely and often • Puppy cuddles that melt straight into chaos • Sharp little teeth & nails (factory-installed, temporary feature) • Laughing more than you planned to Hank is great with people and other dogs, and at this young age, should do just fine with cats with proper introductions and guidance. He’s soaking up the world like a sponge and is at the perfect stage to learn manners, routines, and how to become a truly amazing family member — with some patience, consistency, and a good sense of humor. Like his brother, Hank is expected to grow into a nice, larger-sized dog — perfect for adventures, outdoor fun, and then flopping dramatically on the couch as if he’s had the hardest day ever. (Spoiler: he has.) 🏡 Hank’s Ideal Home: • Ready for puppy energy • Willing to laugh through the chaos • Excited to raise a big, happy, confident dog • Doesn’t mind sharing the couch (you’ll still get about 3 inches😁!!) If your life could use more laughter, more sunshine, and more puppy magic, Hank is ready to light it up — literally and figuratively. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Hank bring the glow, the giggles, and the puppy chaos home 🐶✨
