Story
Please note that we are a TX based rescue. We transport our dogs to new homes once adopted. All our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. Our app can be found at haydudeequine.org Hi, I'm Bowie 💛 I'm about 3 years old, around 40 pounds, and I've been told I have the softest velvety coat (you'll have to confirm that yourself). I didn't always have it easy—I was found sitting scared on the side of the road outside a neighborhood—but I'm ready to leave that part behind and find my forever home. Let me tell you the most important thing about me: I LOVE BALLS. Kong, Chuckit, squeaky, bouncy—I'm not picky. If it bounces, I'm in. I'll watch it like a hawk, leap to catch it mid-air, and happily play fetch for as long as you'll throw it. I might even try to trick you into a little game of keep-away... but don't worry—if you pretend you're done, I'll bring it right back and nudge it into your hand. Deal? I'm playful, energetic, curious, and I like to keep an eye on my people (you'll feel very important, I promise). I'm also pretty smart—I've already learned to sit while I wait for my ball, and with a little patience (and maybe some snacks 👀), I know I can learn even more. My dream home? Probably a couple with no young kids, a yard to run around in, and humans who like being outside as much as I do. I'm still figuring out other dogs, and I haven't met any cats yet, so I may need a little guidance there. Kids make me a bit nervous, so a calmer home would help me feel safe. If you're looking for a loyal, fun-loving best friend who will keep you moving, make you laugh, and always be ready to play... I'm your girl. Now... you got a ball? 🎾

Story
PLEASE NOTE! WE ARE A TEXAS-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN TEXAS AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO YOUR STATE ONCE ADOPTED. Our adoption application can be found at haydudeequine.org. Meet Captain! Captain is a 10-month-old, 75-pound bundle of goofy, happy puppy love! Don’t let his size fool you—this big boy is still a puppy at heart, and he has a way of putting a smile on your face simply by being around him. Captain is always happy and ready for fun, especially when there are other dogs around. He absolutely loves playing with his canine friends and would make a wonderful companion for an active family looking for a playful, social pup. And then there’s water... Captain LOVES water! If there’s a puddle, kiddie pool, creek, pond, or basically any available source of water, you can bet Captain is going to find it—and chances are, he’ll be completely submerged before you know it! When he’s not busy making a splash, Captain enjoys toys, playtime, and gnawing on deer antlers. But underneath all that goofy puppy energy is a big-hearted boy who simply wants to be loved. His big puppy-dog face says it all—he’s ready to find his people and give them all the love he has to offer. Captain is the kind of dog who brings joy wherever he goes. He’s silly, affectionate, playful, and full of personality. If you’re looking for a big goofy boy who will keep you laughing, join you for adventures, and happily turn every body of water into his personal swimming pool, Captain may be your perfect match! Captain is ready to meet his forever family. Could that be you?

Story
Animal Information: Nicky is an estimated 4-year-old 55 lb now neutered male black lab mix who was a stray intake to County of Hawaii Animal Control after being hit by a car. This big goofy boy was lucky to suffer only some road rash - no fractures - and passed his temperament test with dogs and people with flying colors. When he was euth-listed for space, he was pulled by an island rescue to a private boarding kennel from COH-AC and networked for rescue transfer. Kennel staff notes that he walks well on a leash (especially after play time), shows no resource guarding tendencies, and is not destructive with toys. He has good social skills with other dogs, taking cues well, and is friendly with all people including the children he has met at many adoption events.  Foster Updates: Nicky is a real love! He does well in his crate when left alone, but prefers to sleep on the couch. He loves to play with the resident dog and loves to play with toys too, though he isn't destructive with them. Especially loves tug with his large rope toy. He is mostly a quiet boy -- only barks when he thinks the house needs guarding, like when the scary scary mailman approaches. He LOVES to snuggle. He will lay on top of his foster mom for hours. He needs a bit of work with his leash manners but he’s got some of the basic commands down.  Other notes: He's great with the small senior dog in his foster home, he is curious about the kitten but will only lay down nearby and watch him, and wants to bark at the chickens. He is able to be very independent - will simply lay down in the grass and is perfectly content watching his foster mom garden. But when given the opportunity, he wants to be with his people and getting lovings and cuddles. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from Action 4 Animals Hawaii. He will be transferred via Paws Across Water Hawaii (PAW HI), arriving to foster care on 6/10/2026 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.September 19, 2026, 2:17 am

Story
Animal Profile: Wiley is a 1.5-year-old male Labrador Retriever/Husky mix (best guess!) who came to us from Texas along with his siblings. They were rescued by Animal Control from an overcrowded property and placed into foster care with one of our rescue partners before making their way to us. Wiley has grown into a happy, sweet, and affectionate dog. He's thriving in his foster home, and does well with older, dog-savvy children. With his friendly personality and playful nature, Wiley is ready to find an active family to call his own. Foster Update:  Wiley is a smart, fluffy goofball with a big personality! He's both crate trained and house trained, knows all of his basic commands, walks nicely on leash, and has an energetic, playful spirit. After spending several weeks with a professional trainer, Wiley is e-collar trained and has continued to thrive, enjoying plenty of adventures with his foster mom. Wiley is looking for an active home where he can be the only dog. He'll do best with someone who has breed experience, a securely fenced yard, and an adventurous lifestyle to match his energy. While he's not the right fit for a home with toddlers, older dog-savvy children should do well with him. Wiley also has plenty to say, so a house is a better match than an apartment where his chatty nature could be an issue. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog is being transferred from  Animal Advocacy & Rescue our partner in Del Rio Texas and arriving via Byrdie Express to the Seattle area. This dog will be fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated in foster care.September 19, 2026, 2:17 am

Story
Animal Information:  Lila is a 1-year-old Lab/Labradoodle mix who came to us as an emergency intake. Her owner was fleeing a domestic violence situation and sadly could not bring Lila with them. Lila has been very loved and well cared for her whole life, and we promised her family that we would find her a wonderful home. Lila is a happy, social girl who loves everyone she meets. She went to doggy daycare regularly and does great with both small and large dogs. She also lived with two children under 7 and absolutely loved them. She is crate trained, house trained, loves car rides, and knows basic obedience. She does need some work on her leash manners because she likes to pull, but she is young and eager to learn. She is also learning not to jump, but approaches everything in life with 12 out of 10 enthusiasm. Lila has the softest ears, the sweetest face, and such a loving personality. She is a really special girl who deserves a family of her own. We know the right home is out there for her, and we can't wait to see her find it.  Foster Profile: Coming Soon! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Story
Animal Profile: Sienna is an approximately 1 yr  old female Lab/Husky X  (guessing)  who joined us, along with her siblings, from Texas on 3/14/25. The puppies were taken from an overcrowded property by Animal Control and went into care with our rescue partner. Sienna is a happy, sweet pup, doing well in her foster home, she is friendly with dogs, and older  kids. Foster Update:  Sienna is a 1.5 year-old Lab/Husky mix with a gentle spirit and an independent streak. She can be shy at first and takes time to warm up to new people. Sienna is food-motivated (smart girl alert) and already has basic manners like sit, down, crate and potty training down pat. She walks beautifully on leash when she’s comfortable, sleeps soundly through the night in her crate with no accidents, and is always up for a game of fetch or a joyful toy romp in the yard.  Sienna absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a furry canine friend and a fenced yard. Once she feels safe, she is sweet, playful, and full of gentle affection. She is timid around men and will need time, consistency, and patience to build trust. She has been friendly with the children in her foster home, but due to her shy nature we are not considering homes with small children. Older teens may be considered. Sienna should not live with cats, as she has a strong prey drive and would be inclined to chase them.  Sienna is just waiting for the right family who will move at her pace and help her shine. Could that be you?    Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate.
