Meet Muffin! Muffin's journey began when she was found as a stray, abandoned in a park, covered in fleas, and in need of some TLC. Her Texas foster family is helping her feel better every day and recently received a hair cut! Despite her rough start, Muffin's a total sweetheart who loves nothing more than cuddling up in your lap or sleeping by your side. She can be bit protective of her humans lap if she is in it and may let other dogs know how she feels about sharing if they try to encroach on her lap time, but once everyone's settled, she's as friendly as can be. As a young pup, Muffin still needs some training, but she's getting the hang of things. While she's not quite 100% potty trained yet, she's getting there, and with a little patience and consistency, she'll get the hang of it in no time. She does know how to use potty pads in the house. Muffin prefers sleeping with her human rather than in a crate, as she'll bark all night otherwise. She's a bit nervous about being picked up, likely due to past experiences, but once she's in your arms, she's a bundle of joy and absolutely loves the cuddles and attention. With her adorable antics and loving nature, Muffin would thrive in a home where someone is around often to give her the attention and love she craves. Hey! My name is Stray Charles. I am so incredibly sweet and affectionate. My hair is very silky and I don’t shed very much. Currently I have a few things I’m working on. I’m starting to figure out house training and I go sand at the door when I need to go potty. It takes me a while to warm up to new people so I need a family that is willing to be patient with me and I would probably do better in a quiet home without children. I am an incredibly talented jumper so I need a home with a tall fence or to be on a tie out. I’m very good in my kennel when my foster mom is out but at night I need to sleep in bed with you and I promise I will lie peacefully through the night next to you or at the end of the bed. I haven’t met any cats yet but I absolutely love every dog I meet. I’m very playful and I share my treats and bones nicely. Hello there!  My name is Oakley and I am 15 lbs of fluff that you won’t be able to resist squeezing! I live with 8 other dogs.  Yep, you heard that right….8. And I love them ALL – bring on all the playtime!  I’ve been around cats and they don’t interest me much.  I even find chickens boring.  They say I have a low prey drive, whatever that is.  But I think it’s good? My foster mom takes me for walkies and she says I have good leash manners.  I really like it when she takes me for car rides.  My ears flap in the wind and that makes me so happy! I am mostly a pro at potty training, but occasionally I can’t make it outside and have an accident.  I think I get distracted by playtime with all my doggo friends.  But I promise I’m still working on it!  I am kennel trained and will go in when I need to, but I was put in a kennel a lot in my previous life so I would much prefer to be out with my family. Do you need someone to snuggle with you at night?  Because I will volunteer! Oakley is a very affectionate girl who loves to sit on your lap and be by your side.  She is an overall happy dog, but she does appear to have a deep fear of men and therefore it is recommended that she be placed in a home with female companionship only.  Since Oakley derives so much joy from her playtime with her canine friends, we would like to see her placed in a home with another dog.  She has been small critter and child tested and has passed with flying colors. ##2009969##

Hello I am Brodie and I was born approximately 3/12/2019, I also weigh around 12 lbs, I am a Maltese. I came from a shelter, and I am very protective of my toys, because I never had any before this so I don't love to share. I'm house trained, my foster mom takes me outside every 4 hrs. I have a kennel but would rather sleep on the bed with my foster mom all night. I don't care for dogs bigger than me because they are scary and I also don't really love cats - I growl and bark at them. I will sit and watch you when you are eating, hoping that I will get a snack. I like to curl up on the floor next to my foster mom. Will let you know when someone knocks at the door or walks by, by barking a bit. I'm leash trained. Despite my luxating knees, I don't let it slow me down. With a little extra care and some glucosamine, I'm ready to tackle life head-on. I'm a social butterfly who loves making new friends, whether they're furry or not. Playing with other dogs and even cats? Count me in! Squeaky toys are my jam, and I'll happily gather them in my favorite bed for a play session. Plus, I'm a foodie at heart—I'll devour treats, fruits, and peanut butter like there's no tomorrow. While I may not be a fan of the kiddos under 12, I'm still working on mastering the art of potty training. I'm a quick learner, though, and with a little patience and consistency, I'll get there in no time.
