I'm a quick learner, though, and with a little patience and consistency, I'll get there in no time. Well, I’m here to tell you it’s not factual. You see, I only do so when I’m alarmed or if I’m crated for an extended period of time.  I’m a shy lady but also a very happy one. I’ll wag my tail and lick your hand to let you know how excited I am to see you. I entertain myself with small toys that make noise and treats. I do need a fenced yard because I have zero experience using a leash. Maybe once I settle in, we can work on this together but for now, please have a fenced in yard for me. This will also help with my potty training. While I will use potty pads, we are working on a routine for going potty outside.  There are other dogs here and would benefit from having other dogs in my forever home. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi, my name is Calvin and I spent my early years not in any sort of inside, family-style living so this is all new to me.  So forgive me if I am a little skittish or nervous occasionally.  Especially when we first meet.  I do the same thing when outside of the environment I’ve grown accustomed to but I’m working on that and would do best with a home that will be patient and understanding.  I admit, I’ve growled at people when my stress level is over the top for me but I haven’t ever snapped or bitten anyone. But for now, maybe a home without small kids would be better as commotion, loud noises and men seem to make me more tense. I don’t have too much desire to play right now as I’m still trying to get accustomed to life in a loving environment.  I’m low key but I ventured out a bit this week and actually played with a toy!  Hold your applause! I don’t really have a fur bestie so I can be an only pet if you’re home most of the day.  Why, you ask?? Well, I tend to have lots of conversation with people and like to voice my complaints to the peanut gallery often (bark bark).  I am crate trained but that darn potty thing is a bit trickier.  However, when you keep me on a good schedule, I feel I’m close to making it happen! I don’t require a fenced yard either, as I’m working on my leash skills.  Granted, it’s got more work to be had but we can do it!  I have put my noodles together and with lots of practice, I know “sit, come, kennel, outside and go potty!” I’m food motivated which is why my noodles are functional. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi I'm Kalamata, but my foster mama calls me Kal.  I'm a tiny little guy at just 3 pounds.  The world is a big place and a little scary so I have figured out how to protect myself.  I stand behind things or among things like there's a little wall of protection.  I think I'll stop doing this with a little time though because I'm quickly becoming more confident.  In fact I sass my foster mama when in my spots while my tail wags and I do my little excited dance.  She smiles at me and then picks me up and I sit on her lap while we watch TV and I watch the other dogs play.  I do just fine with them all and would love one in my future home that can help me continue to gain confidence.  After a bit I cuddle into my fosters mama's neck and will nap since I know she's there to keep me safe.  I do also like my kennel because it's another safe spot.  I'm just getting brave enough that I'm leaving it all by myself now.  While mom waits for me to gather my courage I talk to her and boop her hand so she'll pet me.  Neck and chin scratches are heavenly! Since I'm such a petite little guy it would be safer for me to be in a home without little kids.  The fast movements and noises would be scary for me, but I'd also be scared that I'd get stepped on.  I'm not quite ready to try out this leash thing I've heard about so I do need a fenced area to do my business.  I'm sure I'll be ready to conquer it soon, but today isn't that day.  I'm making big steps every day in my foster home and I hope that you will help my continue on my journey.  I promise to light up your world with my love. I thrive on human company and enjoy nothing more than snuggling up in a cozy lap or following my favorite person around the house. When guests come over, I'm the first to greet them with a wagging tail and a friendly demeanor. I get along famously with my foster siblings, and even when we have furry visitors, I'm a gracious host. Playing with soft, crackly toys and lightweight plastic balls is my jam—I could spend hours having fun with them! At night, I snooze peacefully in my crate in the bedroom, but I'd be a little sad if I had to sleep alone in a different room. I'm not a fan of being separated from my humans for too long, so I do best in a home where someone is usually around. Zooming around the backyard is one of my favorite pastimes, especially in the morning when I'm full of energy. Although I'm still learning about potty training, I always do my business outside, but sometimes accidents happen indoors. My foster mom helps me stay clean and comfortable with a diaper when needed. I'm a calm and easygoing pup who just wants to please my humans. Even when I'm crated while they're away, I'm content and quiet, snoozing until they return. Hey! My name is Stray Charles. I am incredibly sweet and affectionate, especially with the ladies. I like to show off my silky, soft hair and I don’t shed very much, so I know how much they will love me! I am more selective about men. Some are fine, while others might see my protective side. Currently I have a few things I’m working on. I’m starting to figure out house training and I go sand at the door when I need to go potty. It takes me a while to warm up to new people so I need a family that is willing to be patient with me and I would probably do better in a quiet home without children. I am an incredibly talented jumper so I need a home with a tall fence or to be on a tie out. You have to understand that I likely have never been in a loving home so sounds like the TV, clanking dishes, the horrible vacuum and lots of commotion might make me a little worried. I have shown foster mom that I do have some puppy antics in me, hee hee! I like to play with soft toys, run around the yard and wrestle with the other dogs in my foster home. So, it’ll be important that I have a good doggy role model in my forever home to help me learn that touch isn’t scary and keep learning. A social, well-balanced and confident dog is required. This means that my buddy will need to show me humans are safe, how to get on a potty routine and teach me which toys are the best! My fur-brother and the other dogs in my foster home have been amazing teachers! I am still working on my dog skills like potty training. We go outside on a routine, but I will still need of practice in my forever home. Foster mom wants to let you know that I am smart – I already know what “go potty” means! We tried kennel training, and oh boy, I will tell you how much I don’t like it! Bark bark! Foster mom uses gates for the dogs when she isn’t home. I also bark at her when she comes home – maybe I’m telling you I’m glad you’re home, or maybe I’m filling you in on what happened when you were away!  Also, a fenced yard is required as I don’t have a leash or tie-out experience. This is very important for potty training too. My foster mom said I’m fun, adorable, learns quickly and likes to play with other dogs and that I play hard!  Oh and that I have a wonderful appetite! I will let you know with a bark bark that I am excited for dinner! But I’m still so timid that foster mom needs to pick me up and take me to my bowl and sit there so I don’t run off and hide under the bed.  Then she’ll carry me outside to do my business because I am too afraid.  But once I’m out there, and after I do my duty, I enjoy playing with my furster sister.  She really likes me and helps me know things.  We chew bones together and play.  I do need another dog and fenced yard.  I do prefer smaller ones like me and the opposite sex.  Also, I do like to guard my toys and bones.  A guy needs things of his own, amIright?!  So probably no small kids for now. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
