Evie is a darling young girl. She came to us via a local puppy miller, very pregnant. Her mama duties are done, she's vetted, we've gotten to know her outside of being a mama and it's her time to be someone's baby. She is sweet, fairly active and good with dogs. She loves affection and attention but doesn't quite understand this lap dog stuff and won't stay there long. She looks like a perfect mix of toy poodle and maltese but she's the wrong color. There was a havanese with the same coloring so she may have some of that too. Her coat is maltese fine but curlier and her tail curls like a cinnamon roll, tight and sits straight up on her back. She is still learning to be a house pet. She is not house broken nor crate trained. If left too long without trips outside, she will soil in the home or her crate. She doesn't necessarily use the provided puppy pads either. Her new family must be able to continue to help her with these things. She is not leash trained either so that will need to be worked on. And this also means, a securely fenced yard is required, no exceptions. No younger children in the home either. We have her on a good grain free, chicken free food (as all maltese should be on due to them being prone to allergies with both) and she's doing great. She's been groomed twice now, once the day we got her and recently before her spay. She was a matted, stinky, long nails and flea infested girl when we got her. We never want her in that condition again. Please provide your groomers name and phone number on our adoption application if you would like to apply for her. Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented. Meet Gidget! Gidget is around two years old and she is just a cutie. She loves walks and going outside and exploring. Gidget loves humans and is very affectionate. She needs a minute to warm up to strangers but once she trusts you she will become very attached. She is a cuddle bug and loves belly rubs and all the love. Gigdet is crate trained and able to be left alone if you need to be away from home. Gidget has lived with other dogs but can be a bit jealous of them so she will probably like being your only dog so that she can hog all the attention. As mentioned she can be shy with strangers and this needs some work. She is easily overwhelmed with strangers trying to touch her and she may nip in those situations. Her foster is working on this with her. Gigdet is not suitable for a home with kids. We have not seen her with cats. She is well potty trained and just a sweetheart. Gidget is vaccinated, spayed and chipped. Meet Ari! Ari is a sweet, nearly 2 year old Maltese/Poodle mix. She is a sweetheart. Sadly her owner went through a divorce and was unable to keep her. She is doing wonderfully in her foster home. Ari is a sweet and cuddly female. She is not territorial over food or toys. She is happy to cuddle with a human or furry friend and would do well with having another dog around. Ari is timid with new people and a little skittish. She will do best in a more quiet home with not a lot of chaos. Older kids (over 10) will be best for her. She is playful but does not necessarily need toys. She is learning to love her walks as well!! While she does bark at things passing by the window it’s a quiet bark. She may be okay in an apartment depending on if there’s windows she can see out of and how thin the walls are. She is potty trained! Ready to be your new best friend! Meet Raon! 2 years old | Female | Spayed Maltese/Poodle Mix 4.8 kg | 34 cm at the shoulder Tan Raon was found wandering around a factory, where she had been left and was in danger. Now, this affectionate little girl is looking for a safe, loving home to call her own. Raon loves people and happily approaches both familiar faces and new friends for attention. She’ll rub against you and enjoys being petted. She also lived well with a middle-school-aged child and got along well. She is comfortable being picked up. She’s just as friendly with other dogs and likes to say hello and invite them to play! Raon is most comfortable with dogs around her own size, as large dogs can be a little scary for her. When she sees cats on walks, she watches them with curiosity but will follow along when guided away. A cat test can be arranged if needed. Raon has a moderate energy level. She enjoys outdoor activities and walks, and she’s happy to relax afterward. She can pull on the leash, but generally follows her person well. When Raon first arrived in her current foster home, she was understandably anxious in the unfamiliar environment. For the first few days, she had trouble sleeping, barked and wandered around, and sometimes howled when her caregiver left. It took her about a week to settle in. Now that she feels more comfortable, she doesn’t bark unnecessarily, although she may bark when she hears noises outside. Raon doesn’t guard her food from people or other dogs. She currently uses both indoor pee pads and goes potty outside. She may whine in a kennel and is working on becoming more comfortable with it. Raon will need a patient family who understands that she may need time to feel safe and settle into a new home. Once she feels comfortable, her sweet and affectionate personality shines through!
