Story
Coco is a female Maltese who recently came into my care from a previous owner. I have made sure she received all necessary medical attention. She is fully up-to-date on all her vaccines and just underwent a successful spay and umbilical hernia removal surgery. Her medical care has been fully covered, and she is on her way to being physically healthy!Unfortunately, due to her past living environment, Coco has developed severe food resource guarding. She becomes highly reactive, defensive, and will snap or bite when food or treats are present. Because I have a young child and another dog, it has become an unsafe environment for both my family and Coco. She is currently highly stressed by the bustling activity of a multi-pet and child household. Coco MUST go to a quiet, adult-only home (preferably a single person) with NO young children and NO other pets. She needs an experienced, patient owner who understands resource guarding and can provide strict boundaries.

Story
✅️Currently located in South Korea✅️ Meet Noah🤍 💙 Noah’s Account: @aki.noa.sushi 1. Health • Neutering/Spaying: Completed • Other: Microchipped; had bladder stone surgery and molar extraction. Fully blind in one eye due to cataracts. Experiences coughing when temperatures drop, requiring steroid medication if coughing occurs. Has partial hearing loss. All teeth except molars have been extracted, so he cannot eat hard treats. 2. Rescue Story • Noah was rescued from a breeding facility alongside Aji and Aki before Adogs officially formed. He was adopted, but after his adopter passed away suddenly in September 2024, Noah returned to Adogs. He is looking for a family to help him overcome his grief and begin a new chapter of life. 3. Personality & Habits • With People: Very affectionate and sweet, loves both strangers and familiar people, and often approaches first asking for pets. • With Dogs: Gets along well with other dogs, both familiar and new friends. May show cute jealousy if another dog gets attention. • Separation Anxiety: Calm when left with Aki, though Aki has separation anxiety that affects Noah. If left with another dog or person, he waits quietly. • House Training: Fully pee pad trained (100% accuracy), though he prefers pooping outdoors. He tends to pee near the edge of the pad, so surrounding it with a fence or holder is helpful. • Hygiene/Grooming: Very calm and well-behaved during baths, drying, and brushing. • Walking on Leash: Walks well on a leash without pulling and keeps pace nicely. 4. Special Notes • May bark briefly when a stranger enters the room for the first time. In the evenings, he may bark for 5 minutes normally, or 20–30 minutes if he has extra energy. • Has a strong food drive and eats quickly when excited for meals, so feeding slowly and calmly is recommended.

Story
Meet Alexander! Alexander is around 4 years old and came to us when his owner could no longer care for him. Alexander is a friendly, affectionate boy with a winning personality. He loves people and has a wonderful way of making everyone around him feel adored. He gets along well with other dogs and happily greets both dogs and people on his walks. He has not yet been tested with cats. We think he would also do well with children; kids over 10 should be a great fit. Alexander has a lovely balance of energy and companionship. He enjoys walks and playing in the yard, but he is equally happy curled up at his foster mom’s feet while she works from home. His favorite pastime may be gazing lovingly at her throughout the day. He has bonded beautifully with everyone in his foster home and loves being included in family life—including car rides, parks, youth sporting events, group activities/gatherings, and outdoor restaurants. He is also making great progress learning to be comfortable on his own. Alexander will go willingly into his crate with a treat and has successfully stayed home for 3+ hours. He may bark intermittently while his family is away, but he can settle himself and rest, and he comes out of his crate calm when they return. Alexander can be vocal at times, so he would not be a good fit for apartment living or a home where barking could be an issue. That said, his barking has improved tremendously as he has settled into foster care, and he is increasingly responsive to gentle correction. With consistency and time, we expect that progress to continue. Alexander was still working on potty training when he arrived in foster care, but he is coming along beautifully with a consistent routine. Regular trips outside—either into the yard or for a quick walk—have made a big difference, and his foster family is learning his cues and helping him succeed. More than anything, Alexander is a loving, social dog who wants to be part of his people’s lives. He has made wonderful progress in foster care and will thrive with a home that can give him affection, consistency, exercise, and a little patience as he continues to settle into his new life. Alexander is vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He is scheduled for a full dental cleaning in September. His adoption fee is $450.   We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! Story
Meet Gidget! Hello! I’m Gidget, a 2-year-old cutie pie.  I started my life in a hoarding situation where I lived outside with lots of other pups. But I’ve now discovered the great indoors and creature comforts are my jam! I quickly mastered a number of basic commands for inside the house and last week I taught myself to retrieve toys. So smart! And I’m definitely potty trained. I LOVE walks and prance with pride in my neighborhood. My ears bounce with joy with each step! I’m just so happy to get outside for whatever kind of walk you’re up for. I’m not comfortable going to all the fun places you go yet, but I’m ok just hanging back at home alone or in a crate (where I sleep right now). I absolutely love my humans and become very attached. I love kisses, hugs, belly rubs…you get it. I can be a real cuddle monster and will even follow you around the house. I would love to sleep on your bed if that’s ok with you!  So now that you know lots of good stuff about me, here’s some stuff I’m working on. I need your love and patience as I work through some fears . I’m a little nervous with dogs and people on walks and sometimes I bark or growl, but I respond well to verbal corrections. When I get overwhelmed in the house with new people I forget my manners and can get nippy. If you help me stay calm and let me get to know people at my own pace, I’ll learn to be more confident. Children would not be a good fit for me. At least for a little while, I’ll do best hanging out in my crate or pen when people visit. I am currently living with 2 small dogs, but cats are an unknown. I’m a diamond in the rough and with training and patience, I will be your best friend.  Gidget is vaccinated, spayed and chipped. Her adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! Story
TOFFEE APPLICATIONS PAUSED! We’ve received so many applications for Toffee, so we’re pausing new applications for now. Please check out our other adoptable dogs too — so many amazing pups are still waiting!   Meet Toffee — A Sweet, People-Loving Little Gentleman!   Name: Toffee Age: 7 years old Sex: Neutered Male Breed: Maltese / Poodle Mix Colour: Brown Weight: 3.8 kg (8.4 lbs) Height: 28 cm (11 in) at the shoulder   Rescue Story   Toffee was found wandering around an apartment complex and was brought to a municipal shelter. He is now looking for a loving forever home where he can enjoy plenty of affection and companionship.   Personality & People   Toffee is a very friendly and affectionate little guy who genuinely loves people. He happily approaches both familiar faces and strangers, rubs against them for attention, and is comfortable being touched and handled.   He can easily be picked up with an arm under his belly and will even show his belly to people he has just met. He’s the type of dog who would much rather be close to his humans than off doing his own thing.   With Other Dogs   Toffee will approach unfamiliar dogs to say hello, but he generally isn’t interested in playing with them. He definitely prefers people over dogs.   He can feel intimidated by larger or high-energy dogs and will usually avoid them. He also doesn’t appreciate dogs who repeatedly pester him to play, so a home where his personal space is respected would suit him best.   With Cats   Toffee’s reaction to cats has not yet been observed, but a cat test can be arranged upon request.   Energy Level   Toffee has a moderate energy level. He enjoys getting outside and being active, but after his outdoor time, he is happy to settle down and relax quietly.   Walking   Toffee is an experienced and enjoyable walking companion. He loves going for walks, follows his handler well, and generally walks nicely without pulling on the leash.   Other Behaviours   • No food guarding toward people or other dogs • Generally calm when placed in a kennel, but if he makes eye contact with someone, he may whine or bark to ask to be let out • Primarily does his business outdoors    Health Note:Toffee recently had a dental cleaning and 9 teeth extracted due to poor dental condition when he was rescued. He is currently eating dry kibble without any issues. Other than his dental condition, we have not been informed of any other health concerns at this time.   Toffee would be a wonderful match for someone looking for a small, affectionate companion who enjoys walks but is equally happy relaxing by your side. At 7 years old, he’s past the puppy stage and knows exactly what he loves most: his people. Apply to adopt or foster: https://adoptmekr.org  PLEASE ALSO VISIT OUR FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM!
