Evie is a darling young girl. She came to us via a local puppy miller, very pregnant. Her mama duties are done, she's vetted, we've gotten to know her outside of being a mama and it's her time to be someone's baby. She is sweet, fairly active and good with dogs. She loves affection and attention but doesn't quite understand this lap dog stuff and won't stay there long. She looks like a perfect mix of toy poodle and maltese but she's the wrong color. There was a havanese with the same coloring so she may have some of that too. Her coat is maltese fine but curlier and her tail curls like a cinnamon roll, tight and sits straight up on her back. She is still learning to be a house pet. She is not house broken nor crate trained. If left too long without trips outside, she will soil in the home or her crate. She doesn't necessarily use the provided puppy pads either. Her new family must be able to continue to help her with these things. She is not leash trained either so that will need to be worked on. And this also means, a securely fenced yard is required, no exceptions. No younger children in the home either. We have her on a good grain free, chicken free food (as all maltese should be on due to them being prone to allergies with both) and she's doing great. She's been groomed twice now, once the day we got her and recently before her spay. She was a matted, stinky, long nails and flea infested girl when we got her. We never want her in that condition again. Please provide your groomers name and phone number on our adoption application if you would like to apply for her. Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented. Meet Gidget! Gidget is around two years old and she is just a cutie. She loves walks and going outside and exploring. Gidget loves humans and is very affectionate. She needs a minute to warm up to strangers but once she trusts you she will become very attached. She is a cuddle bug and loves belly rubs and all the love. Gigdet is crate trained and able to be left alone if you need to be away from home. Gidget has lived with other dogs but can be a bit jealous of them so she will probably like being your only dog so that she can hog all the attention. As mentioned she can be shy with strangers and this needs some work. She is easily overwhelmed with strangers trying to touch her and she may nip in those situations. Her foster is working on this with her. Gigdet is not suitable for a home with kids. We have not seen her with cats. She is well potty trained and just a sweetheart. Gidget is vaccinated, spayed and chipped. Her adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. Fixin and his brother Rusher are somewhat of a unit: They play together, nap together, and spend basically every waking moment as a two-dog team. He's sweet and playful, has recently discovered he enjoys cuddling and belly rubs (a development his foster seems very pleased about), loves being brushed, and is food-motivated enough that leash training is going well with the right treats. He's good with other dogs and kids, and is just a sweet, easygoing puppy who happens to come with a very attached sibling. -----  A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters: Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:  ✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.  ✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).  ✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.  The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives.
