I’m crate trained, housebroken, and walk nicely on a leash—unless there’s a squirrel… then it’s game on! I do have a slight prey drive, so a little guidance goes a long way. Meet Sam! Sam is a very handsome pup, estimated at about 3 years old. He’s thought to be a Mastiff Mix, but, rather small for the breed. Sadly, Sam found himself at an overcrowded noisy animal control facility down south. He deserves a forever home and family of his own, and we want to help him get there!! This precious pup absolutely loves people and is good with older kids who are respectful of dogs. We expect he is good with lower energy dogs. Dogs who are too active might scare him and cause him to react. Sam absolutely loves belly rubs, and treats too! He's a little rough around the edges in terms of training but clearly is eager to learn. Sam is in overall good physical shape however he does have some vision issues causing him to sometimes miss things coming his way….this is why we expect he’d be scared by higher energy dogs, and high-activity youngsters. Sam is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative and on preventative. We would still like to get Sam to an eye specialist for a comprehensive examination of his eyes/vision. I can probably live with another dog, but he would have to be calmer like me. but little dogs and very young children I would be afraid of because I am clumsy and wouldn't want to hurt them. Charlie is a loving, snuggly boy that our family adopted 4 years ago. He believes he is a lapdog and if he tries to sit on your lap then you know he truly loves you. We had one dog when we adopted him, and they connected instantly and have been the best of friends ever since. In fact, he was a big part of helping our first pup overcome her separation anxiety. He is house-trained and does well off leash in a safe space with trusted owner. He is reactive towards other dogs, but in the sense that he gets super excited and wants to play, but it can be too much for other dogs. The reason we are looking to rehome him is because we had another child and she is now getting to a more mobile age, unfortunately triggering unpredictable behavior in Charlie. He has nipped the hand of both of our children and we feel he would be better in a home with no children and an experienced owner. It also takes him some time to warm up to new faces. This is sad for all of us, we want the best for him.
