Story
Appa is a sweet, gentle pug with a truly special spirit and an inspiring story. She recently lost her vision after a traumatic encounter with another dog required the removal of her eyes. Though she's still adjusting to life without sight, Appa is learning quickly and finding her way with quiet courage. Now more sensitive to sound, Appa can be startled by unfamiliar or sudden noises. Because of this, she would do best in a peaceful, predictable home where she can feel secure. She seems to enjoy the company of calm, easygoing dogs who respect her space—but she may guard her food, so separate feeding is recommended. Despite the challenges she’s faced, Appa is affectionate, loyal, and eager to bond with someone who understands her needs. She’s ready to give her trust to a kind, patient person who can offer her the comfort and safety she deserves. If you can offer Appa a calm place to call home, she just might be your perfect match. (Adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate current vaccines, microchip, and preventative flea treatment.) Our adoption process and application can be found at - https://www.sunnyskysshelter.org/our-adoption-process Note: Breed descriptions are provided as a general estimate based on the dog's size, shape, and appearance. These descriptions are not definitive and should be considered a "guestimate." Since we cannot always know the exact breed mix of our rescue animals, the information provided is simply an educated guess. Story
Meet Tito's Saketini! Tito's Saketini would do best with another dog in the home and no little kids. Tito's Saketini is a puppy so hes playful and has a lot of puppy energy! He is super cute and fun, but a lot of work. His forever family should be committed to lots of training - obedience, housetraining, and socialization. This will ensure that Tito's Saketini grows into a confident, well behaved adult! Puppies' personalities are dependent on their environment, and the structure and training they are given, in addition to socialization. Their personalities continue to grow and be shaped by their new adoptive families. Puppy daycare and socialization classes or puppy kindergarten are highly recommended for their personal development. He will more than reward you for all your hard work with lots of love, loyalty, and laughs. Saketini is a baby so he is not yet house trained and is working on crate training. Estimated DOB: 12/02/2024 Estimated ADULT Weight: 10-20 lbs Breed: Pug/Chihuahua/Mix Adoption Donation: $700.00 Prior to adoption, puppies will be altered, microchipped, flea treated, and dewormed. Puppies are given vaccination boosters in our care; however, adoptive families will be responsible for the remaining vaccinations that puppies need. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs. All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and Martingale collar. Each dog also receives a "Tour Gear Bag" full of goodies to start you on your journeywith your new pup!
