APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. DALILA…and her brother, Sampson, are absolutely happy, happy, happy. They are Pug mixes. Maybe mixed with Wire-haired Terrier. Their fur has a bit of a course texture. DOB 2/25/25. They just love to have people play with them. They are great together...very feisty. Dalila currently weights 8#. I figure she will probably get to be 18-20#. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/ This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Meet Rusty! At just 2.5 years old, Rusty is a joyful, social, and energetic pug who's never met a stranger. He adores people of all ages, especially kids, and has a natural charm that wins hearts wherever he goes. With his playful spirit and easygoing personality, Rusty could be everyone’s best friend! Rusty is a total pro on leash and loves outings, playtime with other dogs, and all the attention you’re willing to give. He hasn’t met any cats yet, but based on his temperament, we think he’d adjust just fine with a proper introduction. Rusty does have some medical considerations to keep in mind. He has a history of urinary issues, so he’ll need to stay on a prescription urinary diet for life and have plenty of potty breaks to keep him feeling his best. He also has a few orthopedic quirks, luxating patellas, mild hip dysplasia, and some lumbar narrowing, but these are currently asymptomatic. They may require intervention down the line, but for now, he’s keeping up just fine with his happy-go-lucky lifestyle. If you’re looking for a loving, fun, and endlessly loyal companion, Rusty is ready to bring joy, snuggles, and lots of tail wags into your life! Rusty is up to date on vaccines, microchipped and neutered.

Story
Yes, the rumors are true. I am a wheelie pug and I am wheelie awesome too. I still have some use of my back legs so I dont need my wheelchair when Im on the grass or carpet, but my foster mom has a lot of slippy floors so she puts me in my wheelchair when shes bopping around room to room so I can follow and try to be the Velcro pug I dream of being. I have been going on lots of adventures lately and my foster mom says Im the best copilot! I love a road trip, especially the snacks part. Can I have one of your fries? I am well behaved and dont bark too much. Foster mom took me on a 3 mile hike and I relaxed in the sling the whole time and looked around at the big beautiful world. We had lunch outside the other day and I just chilled out and enjoyed the sun and smells. She let me roll around a bit and I made new friends everywhere I went! Basically Im the best girl. Lets cuddle.

I'm a low-key guy ready to bring lots of love to my new forever family. You might call me a "plug and play" pug, because I have already learned to be polite and listen to my Hooman. I love people (especially their warm laps!!!), but I'll sit patiently at your feet waiting for you to invite me up. You can count on me to "do my business" outside, and I will jump in a crate in a heart beat. I sleep through the night, and will only bark to protect our home. I can be silly and playful sometimes, but I'm happiest being your mellow companion. I lived on the streets for a while, but I'm still a trusting soul and will quickly bond with the people who give me a chance. Maybe that's YOU?
