While we do our best to assess each dogs habits and behaviors, we cannot guarantee that any dog is fully potty trained or will not have accidents after adoption. Changes in environment, routine, stress levels, and transition into a new home can all impact a dogs house-training habits. Patience, consistency, and continued training may be needed as the dog adjusts to their new home. Breed descriptions are provided as a general estimate based on the dog's size, shape, and appearance. These descriptions are not definitive and should be considered a "guestimate." Story
Meet Birdie! Birdie is a sweet, active senior girl who is looking for either a foster or forever home. Were still working through a couple of medical items with her. She has an eye issue were treating, and she is scheduled for a spay and dental in a few weeks once she puts on a little more weight. Dont let her age fool youBirdie still loves to play, go for walks, and be part of the action. She gets along wonderfully with people of all ages and other dogs. When shes not out exploring, shes more than happy to curl up on the couch and watch TV with you. One of our favorite things about Birdie? Shes great about letting us know when she needs to go potty. Shell walk right to the door and do the cutest little spin to let you know its time to go out. Birdie is truly the total package: sweet, social, active, and full of love!

Story
We got a call in the middle of the night about this sweet girl.A call that stopped us in our tracks. Its not often the shelter reaches out after hoursso when they do, we know its serious. A tiny 6-week-old pug puppy had been found abandoned in a park, cold, weak, and barely hanging on. This precious baby girl, now named Nyx, was suffering from a severe anal prolapse. Despite everything the shelter tried, nothing was working. She urgently needed advanced specialty carewithout it, she simply would not survive. Nyx underwent two surgeries to repair the prolapse, and she nearly didnt make it. She stopped eating, she was fading fast, and if not for the skilled, dedicated medical team caring for her around the clock, we would have lost her. But this tiny warrior wasnt ready to give up. Today, Nyx is gaining weight, eating well, and finally on her road to recovery. Shes a sweet, playful, happy little puppy who has fought harder in her first weeks of life than most ever will. Once she is fully healed, she will make a truly incredible addition to someones family. Nyx is proof that even the smallest lives can show the greatest courageand that rescue truly does change everything.

Story
Meet Francis, a young, adorable pug mix who is basically a four-legged invitation to stop, say hello, and fall in love. This sweet girl was running out of time at the shelter when she found her safety with Church of Pug. Now that she's safe, she's making up for lost time by embracing everything she loves: cuddles, playtime, other dogs, and absolutely everyone she meets. Francis is still learning the whole "walking nicely on a leash" thing, but honestly, we can't blame her. When every person walking by looks like a potential new best friend, what's a girl supposed to do? She wants to say hello to EVERYONE. She's wonderful with humans and every dog she's met so far, and her favorite things seem to be pretty simple: love, attention, and being part of the action. Francis is one of those dogs who doesn't just want to be lovedshe wants to love you right back with her whole heart. Young, playful, cuddly, social, and absolutely adorable... This girl is a gem.

Story
Found abandoned and alone in the desert with no family coming forward to claim her, Aspen was incredibly lucky that someone stopped and decided she was worth saving. That one decision gave this sweet girl a second chance, and eventually led her to Church of Pug. Aspen is a calm, easygoing girl who gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and kids. She's the kind of girl who doesn't need to be the center of attention she's perfectly happy being close to her people, enjoying the good life, and soaking up the love she should have always known. We're still learning more about Aspen, including her exact age, but what we already know is pretty wonderful: she's sweet, chill, friendly, and ready for the forever family who will make sure she is never alone or forgotten again.
