Story
Yes, the rumors are true. I am a wheelie pug and I am wheelie awesome too. I still have some use of my back legs so I dont need my wheelchair when Im on the grass or carpet, but my foster mom has a lot of slippy floors so she puts me in my wheelchair when shes bopping around room to room so I can follow and try to be the Velcro pug I dream of being. I have been going on lots of adventures lately and my foster mom says Im the best copilot! I love a road trip, especially the snacks part. Can I have one of your fries? I am well behaved and dont bark too much. Foster mom took me on a 3 mile hike and I relaxed in the sling the whole time and looked around at the big beautiful world. We had lunch outside the other day and I just chilled out and enjoyed the sun and smells. She let me roll around a bit and I made new friends everywhere I went! Basically Im the best girl. Lets cuddle.

Story
At 12 years old, Wilma should have been spending her days curled up in a soft bed, surrounded by love. Instead, she was thrown from a parked car and left alone at a shelter confused, scared, and wondering why the family she trusted was suddenly gone. But Wilma didnt let that heartbreak take away the goodness in her heart. She is incredibly sweet, gentle, and calm the kind of dog who simply wants to be close to someone who will love her the way she has always deserved. Her eyes carry a quiet wisdom, and when she looks at you, you can feel how deeply she wants to belong again. Despite everything she has been through, Wilma greets the world with softness. She enjoys the simple things a warm blanket, a kind voice, a slow walk, and the comfort of knowing someone is there. After 12 years of loyalty, Wilma deserved better than being left behind. What she deserves now is a home where she will never be abandoned again a place where her golden years are filled with love, safety, and the gentle happiness she has always given so freely. Wilma isnt asking for much just a heart that will choose her forever.

Story
Will YOU be my person? My foster mom worries that I might be a little depressed, but actually I'm just dealing with some abandonment feelings. It's hard not to be sad when people have let you down so many times. I just need to find my FOREVER home! Don't let my wrinkles fool you. I might be a mature lady but I'm definitely NOT a senior! (Rescues have a hard time figuring out the age of dogs like me without complete records.) I love my walks or running in my foster family's field. I do have some knee issues but it doesn't slow me down. So if you are a runner or like to hike, I'd love to be your sidekick! Being on the go is my happy place for now, though I am a sucker for a good massage. But some day my happy place will be anywhere beside MY PERSON (or even better, my PEOPLE). I'm what you might call an easy keeper: I'm chill when you are, and just as ready to go as soon as you put on my harness. I'm quiet most of the time but will bark to let you know when we have visitors. And I have a sultry Greta Garbo voice when I do bark, so no yapping for this girl! I sleep through the night and will let you sleep in no problem. And I "do my business" outside (once I get used to the routine at my new home). I'm cool riding in the car and can adapt to lots of different environments. I can even ride the bus without a fuss! I'm good with other dogs that are chill and I love older kids (due to my size I have to be careful with little ones). My only downfall is... I like cats a little too much if you know what I mean. :) Speaking of size, I am bigger than a typical pug, but if you are looking for a dog that is not too small or too big, I could be just right!

Story
Courtesy Post. To apply for Freckles please visit Northwest Rescue Collective, www.northwestrescuecollective.com Adoption Fee $250 Meet Freckles 10-year-old Boston Terrier Freckles is a confident, playful little Boston with a wonderful off-switch. She enjoys daily walks and interactive time, but she’s equally happy relaxing nearby once her needs are met. She’s currently thriving in a foster home with other pets and does best with structure, routine, and clear boundaries. What Freckles is like: • Confident, playful, and affectionate once she feels safe • Walks well on leash and enjoys daily outings • Good with cats • Does best with small, neutered male dogs • Can be reactive to larger dogs and female dogs • Prefers a calm environment and respectful handling • Does not like being picked up • Bonds closely with her person and enjoys companionship Ideal home: Freckles would do best in a calm home with adults or older teens who understand dog behavior and will respect her boundaries. She can live happily in an apartment or a house, as long as she gets daily walks and a consistent routine. She would be happiest as an only dog or with a small, neutered male dog. No large dogs or female dogs, please. The important details: • Spayed • Up to date on vaccines • Currently working on basic obedience • Fostered in a home with other pets Freckles is sensitive and may need slow introductions to new people and environments, but once she feels safe, she is deeply affectionate and loyal. She’s looking for a patient, dog-savvy adopter who values routine, positive reinforcement, and mutual trust. If you’re looking for a mature companion with personality, presence, and a whole lot of love to give — Freckles may be your perfect match.

Story
Chewie's 4 y.o. & have been with us for over 3 years now. We got him through a friend who was being stationed in Japan & couldn't take him. He's a sweet loving boy. He'll follow you around like he's your shadow. He's a bit anxious specially when it comes to new things but he'll come around. He grew up with our 3 cats & he lets them bully him. He's good with our baby, he just gets excited & would start jumping but he'll stop once you tell him to. We've tried rehoming him through here before but it did not work out. We've also tried to put him through BulldogHavenNW but that also did not pan out. Through all this, we realized a few things. - He prefers women over men. It's not that he doesn't like men entirely, we just noticed he's very picky when it comes to men. He's okay with my dad & brother. Also a few coworkers & some guys we met here. - He needs an experienced adopter. - We think it'll be best if he's a solo dog as he tends to be needy & jealous.
