In foster in Tumwater, WA
LEVI has one of the best personalities ever. He is a fantastic confident loving super playful dog. He loves being on the couch next to his humans. Fine on your lap or snuggling up next to you.
He is definitely a Pug maybe mixed with maybe? Is he mixed with some dachshund or some Chihuahua? male that is approximately 3 yrs old. He weighs 14#. He is the ultimate happy, willing to go everywhere, ride in the car, meet new people with a grin on his face. He walks pretty darn well on the leash; is willing to jump in the car; no anxiety; He loves to run and play. He has no fear of anything; loves other dogs… but… possibly we do not know, may be a bit too energetic for cats?. Levi loves attention and will be a great family dog. He would be good in apartments as well as houses with a yard. He is super affectionate and loves to be near his humans on the couch. He was neutered not that long ago, so right now he does wear a belly band and is great about it, doesn't try to rip it off or anything.
He is perfect when crated, sleeps through the night in his crate and is super fantastic in his crate, quiet, doesn't chew anything or make any messes whatsoever!!! Absolutely perfect. He loves his bed and gets between the blankets on top of the bed in his crate and its so adorable sometimes only his nose is sticking out!! He loves to sit by you (we do not encourage small dogs to jump, but he does jump on off/couch...... and loves to be snuggled next to his humans. He often will wait till you ask him to come with you, so well behaved. We cannot find any behaviors someone would not adore! If you open the car door looking for something he quickly jumps in! He is up for any adventure you have in mind. Doesn't seem to mind the rain, baths or anything. Happy happy camper.
Potty training: He came into foster and once the first day lifted his leg inside. He was immediately corrected (caught in the act). He has not gone to raise his leg inside ever again. A few times, the first few days we had him wearing a belly band. For over two weeks he has not had a belly band on at all and never any accidents NEVER.. We take him out regularly and so easy he does his business pretty promptly. He has not gone to lift his leg EVER again. However, we cannot SWEAR in a new home he wont try to lift his leg so watch him carefully or crate him because it only took us ONE time to correct him in his foster home and he has never done that again in his foster home. He loves his crate with a comfy bed and blankets on top of his crate. He will choose to go in there sometimes to rest He hasn't chewed up anything, seems to know which are the dog toys to play with. He doesn't seem to use any chew dog toys, just likes the sweaky and/or squishy dog toys and a small ball..
He is smart, and we are certain he will be easily trainable because he listens so well.

HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose.
Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.
