Meet Trixie, a 3-4 year old pug who was abandoned in Sunnyside Wa. She was found with a bite wound on her side. Her rescuer doctored her back to health and turned her over to this rescue. She is now up to date on all of her shots and is spayed. She is potty trained and will kennel up for meals. She will follow you everywhere and is not afraid of anything on the farm. She wants to sleep with her person but will cuddle up with a friend too. She is a very sweet and quiet girl ready for her furever family. Yes, the rumors are true. I am a wheelie pug and I am wheelie awesome too. I still have some use of my back legs so I dont need my wheelchair when Im on the grass or carpet, but my foster mom has a lot of slippy floors so she puts me in my wheelchair when shes bopping around room to room so I can follow and try to be the Velcro pug I dream of being. I have been going on lots of adventures lately and my foster mom says Im the best copilot! I love a road trip, especially the snacks part. Can I have one of your fries? I am well behaved and dont bark too much. Foster mom took me on a 3 mile hike and I relaxed in the sling the whole time and looked around at the big beautiful world. We had lunch outside the other day and I just chilled out and enjoyed the sun and smells. She let me roll around a bit and I made new friends everywhere I went! Basically Im the best girl. Lets cuddle.

Hi, Im Tachi.Im a sweet pug girl who found myself at a high-kill shelter as a stray, but I was lucky enough that Church of Pug stepped in and saved me just in time. Now Im safe, loved, and ready to find a forever family of my own. I am a very loving and gentle girl who does great with other dogs and kids. I love to play, but Im also a champion cuddler and happiest when Im close to my people. My foster says Im incredibly sweet, friendly, and easy to have around. I would make a wonderful addition to almost any family and would be so grateful for a home to call my own. If youre looking for a loyal companion with a big heart, I might just be the perfect match.

Will YOU be my person? My foster mom worries that I might be a little depressed, but actually I'm just dealing with some abandonment feelings. It's hard not to be sad when people have let you down so many times. I just need to find my FOREVER home! Don't let my wrinkles fool you. I might be a mature lady but I'm definitely NOT a senior! (Rescues have a hard time figuring out the age of dogs like me without complete records.) I love my walks or running in my foster family's field. I do have some knee issues but it doesn't slow me down. So if you are a runner or like to hike, I'd love to be your sidekick! Being on the go is my happy place for now, though I am a sucker for a good massage. But some day my happy place will be anywhere beside MY PERSON (or even better, my PEOPLE). I'm what you might call an easy keeper: I'm chill when you are, and just as ready to go as soon as you put on my harness. I'm quiet most of the time but will bark to let you know when we have visitors. And I have a sultry Greta Garbo voice when I do bark, so no yapping for this girl! I sleep through the night and will let you sleep in no problem. And I "do my business" outside (once I get used to the routine at my new home). I'm cool riding in the car and can adapt to lots of different environments. I can even ride the bus without a fuss! I'm good with other dogs that are chill and I love older kids (due to my size I have to be careful with little ones). My only downfall is... I like cats a little too much if you know what I mean. :) Speaking of size, I am bigger than a typical pug, but if you are looking for a dog that is not too small or too big, I could be just right!

If placed in a home with another dog, his best match would likely be a calm female dog around his size. As always, adopters must be committed to slow and thoughtful introductions with any resident pets.Because of his sensitivity to new people and situations, Hitchcock is currently looking for an adults-only home where he can feel secure and supported.If you’re experienced, patient, and ready to help a sensitive bulldog thrive, Hitchcock may be the perfect companion for you. Come meet him and see if he’s your match. Stop by the shelter during regular business hours to visit available pets. AVHS is open 6 days a week 11am-6pm, closed Sundays, adoptions wrap up at 5:30pm each day.
