Story
Meet Bell! Bell is a sweet 5-year-old girl who recently and unexpectedly lost her sight. Adjusting to such a big change has been difficult for her, particularly around other dogs, so Bell is looking for a quiet, peaceful home where she can feel safe and secure. Bell would do best as the only dog in a calm household with someone who is home much of the time. A retired person, someone who works from home, or simply someone looking for a devoted little companion could be the perfect match. At just five years old, Bell has so much life ahead of her. Blind dogs can adapt wonderfully with patience, consistency, and lots of love. She just needs someone willing to give her the security and time she needs to learn her new surroundings and regain her confidence. If you have a quiet home and a soft spot for a special girl who needs a little extra love, Bell may be the perfect companion for you.

Story
Meet Birdie! Birdie is a sweet, active senior girl who is looking for either a foster or forever home. We're still working through a couple of medical items with her. She has an eye issue we're treating, and she is scheduled for a spay and dental in a few weeks once she puts on a little more weight. Don't let her age fool you-Birdie still loves to play, go for walks, and be part of the action. She gets along wonderfully with people of all ages and other dogs. When she's not out exploring, she's more than happy to curl up on the couch and watch TV with you. One of our favorite things about Birdie? She's great about letting us know when she needs to go potty. She'll walk right to the door and do the cutest little spin to let you know it's time to go out. Birdie is truly the total package: sweet, social, active, and full of love!

Story
Meet Chewy - and while he may not look much like a Wookiee, he's definitely got the same big personality! At just 4 months old, this little guy already has plenty of charm, puppy energy, and an adventurous spirit. His time was running out at the shelter when Church of Pug stepped in and brought him to safety, giving Chewy the chance to start the next chapter of his story. We're still getting to know this little guy, but so far he's proving to be a playful, happy, typical wonderful puppy who is ready to explore the world, learn all the important puppy things, and find his very own forever family. Chewy is ready for his next great adventure - preferably with lots of love, plenty of playtime, and a forever family by his side.

Story
Meet Francis, a young, adorable pug mix who is basically a four-legged invitation to stop, say hello, and fall in love. This sweet girl was running out of time at the shelter when she found her safety with Church of Pug. Now that she's safe, she's making up for lost time by embracing everything she loves: cuddles, playtime, other dogs, and absolutely everyone she meets. Francis is still learning the whole "walking nicely on a leash" thing, but honestly, we can't blame her. When every person walking by looks like a potential new best friend, what's a girl supposed to do? She wants to say hello to EVERYONE. She's wonderful with humans and every dog she's met so far, and her favorite things seem to be pretty simple: love, attention, and being part of the action. Francis is one of those dogs who doesn't just want to be loved-she wants to love you right back with her whole heart. Young, playful, cuddly, social, and absolutely adorable... This girl is a gem.

Story
Louie is a tiny 6-month-old pug mix with a goofy heart, a bright spirit, and a personality that somehow manages to steal attention the moment he shows up. Sweet, playful, and full of charm, Louie has already started proving he's something special - even the camera can't resist him. Recently featured on Teefers' social media, Louie was seen not as a puppy left behind in a high-risk shelter, but as the little star he was always meant to be. And honestly? That's exactly who he is. Behind the humor and puppy silliness is a young boy who should never have found himself in that situation to begin with. But instead of letting his past define him, Louie is leaning into his future - one filled with safety, love, and people who see just how special he truly is. Now safe with Church of Pug, Louie is ready to trade uncertainty for playtime, cuddles, and a forever family who will celebrate him for the little star he already is. Because some puppies aren't just rescued... they're discovered.

Story
Found abandoned and alone in the desert with no family coming forward to claim her, Aspen was incredibly lucky that someone stopped and decided she was worth saving. That one decision gave this sweet girl a second chance, and eventually led her to Church of Pug. Aspen is a calm, easygoing girl who gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and kids. She's the kind of girl who doesn't need to be the center of attention - she's perfectly happy being close to her people, enjoying the good life, and soaking up the love she should have always known. We're still learning more about Aspen, including her exact age, but what we already know is pretty wonderful: she's sweet, chill, friendly, and ready for the forever family who will make sure she is never alone or forgotten again.

Story
Meet Norman, His Royal Squishiness Please make way for Norman, a 3-year-old Bulldog with the face of a cartoon character, the snore of an 18-wheeler, and the firm belief that he deserves to be adored. And you know what? He's right. Norman is a squishy-faced king looking for a family prepared to provide everything a gentleman of his stature requires: a comfy place to nap, plenty of affection, and long, luxurious scratches under his chin. Seriously, get that perfect spot and Norman will tip his head toward the sky so you can keep going. Your arm may get tired. That's a sacrifice he's willing to let you make. This sweet boy is wonderfully low-key. His favorite activity is curling up beside his person with his little face resting in their lap, preferably followed by a quality nap and some truly spectacular snoring. His foster says he sounds like a semi truck using its compression brakes. Sweet dreams, everyone! Norman enjoys leisurely neighborhood strolls and is an absolute gentleman on leash, sticking politely by your side. He's not looking to set any distance records. A couple of blocks, a little sniffing, then back to his throne sounds just about perfect. He's also good with other dogs and remarkably patient with his more energetic foster sibling. Norman is happy to trot around with canine friends, but roughhousing? Please. The king has people for that. He is a generous ruler, kind, and affectionate. But also notable is that his tolerance extends to cats and kids! They are welcome in Norman's kingdom. Somehow, his quirks keep getting cuter. Norman pauses at the door and looks up at his foster as though he's politely asking permission to proceed. He makes Wookie noises while rolling around on his back. And after doing his business outside, this stout little gentleman has been known to skip away like a schoolgirl. Norman is estimated to have been born in April 2023 and weighs 60lbs. He is a bull dog who doesn't ask for much. He just wants a cozy home, someone nearby, and the love and adoration to which he is obviously entitled. Long live the Squishy-Faced King. Norman’s adoption fee is $450. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.  Fill out an adoption application for Norman at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application ##2753103##

Story
Meet Gemma, a stunning little pittie with a megawatt smile, a heart full of love, and absolutely no concept of personal space! Gemma is the kind of dog who believes the best seat in the house is directly on top of her favorite human. The moment you sit down, she’s ready to join you for snuggles, TV time, or reading sessions! In addition to lounging on the couch, her favorite activities include helping in the garden, riding in the car, and keeping an eye on the neighborhood from a cozy window perch. One of Gemma’s most charming features is her adorable underbite smile. Combined with her silly personality and signature Superman leaps across the yard, she has a knack for making people laugh. She also loves carrying around her beloved stuffed toys and proudly showing them off to anyone willing to admire her collection. Gemma absolutely adores people! Kids, adults, visitors, friends, she’s convinced that humans are the greatest invention of all time. She’s affectionate, entertaining, loyal, and endlessly devoted to her people. Her ideal home is one where she can be someone’s beloved sidekick, cuddle buddy, gardening assistant, and professional smile provider. Like many passionate and enthusiastic dogs, Gemma has very big feelings about other dogs. She would be happiest as the only pet in the home, where she can soak up all the attention and continue working on her training without the added stress of sharing her space. She has been making progress and will thrive with an experienced adopter who is committed to helping her continue building confidence and skills. Gemma is estimated to have been born in March 2021 and weighs 50 lbs. She is a petite pit bull type dog whose sweetness is unmatched! If you’re looking for a dog who will love you with her whole heart, make you laugh every day, and happily claim your couch as a shared space, Gemma might just be your perfect match! Gemma’s adoption fee is $450. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.  Fill out an adoption application for Gemma at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application ##2287988##
