Please contact us to submit an application directly at Kzyrnr17@yahoo.com or info@dogdiggityrescue.com or  https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HTX/Exotic/Other Yoshi is a 5 mos old (  07/06/2023 DOB)  and 17 lbs Pug/Retriever/Terrier mix (were dumped and DNA done on a littermate).  He is looking for an active mixed breed dog experienced family with a securely fenced yard.  He will do best with another dog companion or an active family.  He likes dogs his size, dog beds, laps, bones (to chew on), couches and toys.  He will do best in an active home with children over 10 years of age.  He is crate trained, loves car rides, walks and dog training. Not sure on exact adult size, but guessing no larger than a medium sized dog as parents are 25 lbs.  No apartments please.  Courtesay post for the Helotes Humane Society. We no longer accept PayPal due to their fees & charges but if the potential adopter wants to pay them we will accept Paypal. Look at this face, he radiates happiness & joy just from his pictures. Tustin the happiest boy you will ever meet was in a death camp of a scary shelter in CA. He had zero public interest & zero rescue interest on social media. The shelter had been exposed to viruses & made Tustin & his friends even more urgent to save before it was to late. He was posted looking so very friendly & happy & yet was going to die for no reason at all except because of humans. It appears at the age of 1 year old he was going to die which is absolutely unacceptable & disgusting. His life had just begun & was going to be over. We rescued this beautiful little lad & 4 other sweet baby dolls out of that same kill shelter who desperately needed help. That day was 1 very sad & joyous day all at the same time. Without his outstanding foster mum this would not of happened. Tustin who is now looking for his very own forever home & who will never give up on him again & dump him & love him just as his foster family & we do. After we got Tustin all his care with his amazing foster mum he will be bought back to WA state from CA where he can’t wait to find him his loving forever home. You would never know with how happy Tustin is that he almost lost his life & that people had given up on this funny little guy. Thank goodness this boy is so forgiving for what humans have done to him. His foster mum said he is a very spirited happy little dog. He loves everyone in the home & adores playing with his foster siblings. Tustin has experienced going to doggy daycare to socialize him with other dogs with countless breeds & does well. Tustin needs a home where he can sleep in bed with his new forever home so they had better make room his foster mum said for this little man in the bed with you. The absolute insanity to think this baby doll ended up in one of the highest kill shelters in CA is soul destroying. This boy screams personality, he is always on the move. Such a happy soul. Tustin just wants to be loved. Disturbing to think no one wanted him & he was ready to die. The level of absolute madness here is so deeply sad for many of these beautiful souls out of CA kill shelters. He loves everyone he meets & enjoys being cuddled to & given love. That’s when he is standing still. Tustin likes to explore & check out everything in his foster home. He would be the type of boy who would like to experience many adventures. Tustin is a great eater & not shy about his food & treats. Tustin also enjoys wearing a good outfit. Tustin’s new forever home must have a fully fenced secured backyard for his safety. He enjoys going out into the backyard in his foster home & running around playing with his friends. Tustin has been great with his baths because he started having them with us in his loving foster home the moment he was rescued so he is used to them. He loves men & woman & has put on weight instantly in his foster home. Tustin rides beautifully in the car & enjoys a good journey & still needs continued work walking on his harness & leash. When in the car if you on the outside & he is in the car, he is going to let you know he wants to be with you. We are looking for a forever home for Tustin where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them & there must be another dog or dogs in the home for him to thrive. Tustin loves other dogs & needs another dog or dogs in the home to play with. This is mandatory for his new home. We are also looking for a crate free home for the little lad only. He was left in a cage at the shelter until we rescued him. Tustin is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be patient with him. Tustin has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & was fostered in CA with other dogs & does well with them & enjoys their company. In his foster home he is with dogs. It’s mandatory for him to be in a home with playful dogs. A fenced backyard is also mandatory. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take him to places where there are other dogs. That will not work, another dog or dogs is mandatory. Tustin is roughly 3 years & 6 months old & 17 lbs & is perhaps a pug mix & what he is mixed with we are not sure at all. He is male, neutered by laser by our wonderful vets. He had a dental scale & polish along with dental x-rays. He is microchipped. He is heart worm negative, had a 4DX done to test for parasites & up to date on his shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. Tustin/Rusty has been around cats since being in the rescue in his foster home & did well with the cat in the foster home but doesn’t mean he will do well with all cats. But it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together. We have not had him around small children so we do not recommend small children nor cats & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children. We were not there when Tustin was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Tustin’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Tustin potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Tustin has been through many traumas in his short time on this earth so when applying this needs to be kept in mind & for his care. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Tustin & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Spot who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this spirited little lad. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Tustin has an adoption fee of $995 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

Story
Welcome Stevie to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 16- month old Pughuahua is our best guess. He is a small dog at 15 pounds. He has a great appetite and isn’t picky on his food. He currently eats in his crate. He is very puppylike and playful. He loves the small dog tennis balls. He likes all toys and will take the fluff out of them if he can. He is good in a crate and currently best friends with a small female playful dog in his foster home. He likes to run and play. He is crate trained and, on a schedule, will do all business outside. He is learning the doggy door. He does respond to the word “no” and stops what he is doing when you say it. He is good in a car and now good on a leash. He is friendly with dogs after he meets them. He would prefer a family of small dogs or no dogs would also be fine. When he goes outside to do his business, he does like his family to stay out there while he does his business. He will not go in his crate and will bark when he needs to go while in his crate. He was found as a stray on the streets of San Antonio. He was picked up by a good Samaritan after her day’s work. She saw him before work and after work he was still there so she took him home. He is now in a CCPAL foster home getting his training so he will be ready for his new forever home. He is not a big shedding dog, has an adorable underbite and a very cute curly tail. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Caost. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states.Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org/ See his cute video.
