Story
Hi, my name is Chachita. I am a calm, sleepy, and very loving older dog who enjoys being close to my person. I like to follow you around the house, nap in cozy spots, and play a little before bedtime. I would love a home where I am treated like the queen of the house, with space to walk comfortably, and someone who is patient and understands that I am a senior dog. When I was found, I was on the sidewalk, covered in flies, surrounded by bigger dogs trying to mount me. I had a skin fungus and severe conjunctivitis, and I could barely see. I am much better now, but I still need daily eye cleaning and drops, as well as dental care and soft food to help with my mouth.I am gentle, grateful, and ready to spend my golden years with someone who will love me every day. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.

Story
Welcome Cinnamon to CCPAL Rescue. Cinnamon is a 10-week-old Pug mixed pup. She is a beautiful brown color with a black muzzle. She has an underbite and a shortened nose. She is the biggest in the liter. She should be 20 or 25 pounds full grown is our best estimate. They all have curly tails and the round adorable heads. Cinnamon is somewhat laid back and there is one boy that is also more mellow. They are very playful with their siblings. They go on a wee pad but are not fully potty trained. They are good in a crate and are getting regular attention and love at the Rescue. We don’t have the privilege of adopting out many pugs. We are excited to find the pug pups their forever home. We would love pug people for these pups, as they know the breed most. They will be spayed and neutered and ready for their forever home soon. Someone that doesn’t work all day everday is the best candidate for a puppy. These pups would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older as these pups are small and very trusting of everyone. Cinnamon is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See her cute video!!

Story
Delilahaffectionately known as Missy in her foster homeis a one-year-old, pocket-sized girl with a big personality and an even bigger heart. After coming into rescue needing a little extra medical support, shes now feeling great and fully embracing life. She is incredibly sweet, very social with other dogs, and absolutely fearlesslikely thanks to her Chihuahua side. Missy is full of energy and loves to be part of whatever is happening, but she also has a softer side and is happy to snuggle up when its time to wind down. Shes a smart little dog who is already learning to sit and is eager to please. Shes still working on house training and reducing accidents, but shes making progress. Like many young dogs, she enjoys chewingespecially her Nyla-boneand will happily try to recruit fingers and arms into playtime if given the chance. Medically, shes in great shape and just wrapping up the final steps of her care. Shes finishing her last round of treatment for whipworms later this month, with a routine follow-up fecal test to confirm shes fully clearedsomething we expect her to breeze right through. Missy is playful, curious, and full of life. Shes the kind of dog who will keep you entertained, keep you on your toes, and then curl up next to you like shes been yours forever. Story
Otis is a 4-year-old pug who recently joined Evergreen Pug Rescue as an owner surrender. From the moment he arrived, it was clear this sweet boy has so much love to givebut he was also quietly carrying a lot of discomfort. During his veterinary exam, Otis was diagnosed with a Grade 4 luxating patella, the most severe form of kneecap dislocation. This means his kneecap is permanently out of place, causing significant pain and limiting his ability to move comfortably. Despite this, Otis has remained gentle, affectionate, and trustingeverything we love about this breed. And heres the best partOtis is truly the whole package. He is cat approved, dog friendly, and perfectly house trained. Hes the kind of dog who settles in quickly and just wants to be near his people. The good news: there is a path forward. Otis is scheduled for corrective surgery next week, which will stabilize his knee and give him the comfort and mobility he deserves. This is a major procedure, with an estimated cost of around $2,000, followed by a dedicated recovery period. Post-surgery, Otis will need: Strict crate rest for the first two weeks Leash-only activity for several additional weeks Close monitoring to ensure proper healing Because of this, we are hoping to find a forever home local to the Redmond area so we can continue to support his follow-up care every step of the way. Otis didnt choose this journeybut were committed to making sure his future is one filled with comfort, stability, and love. And with his easygoing, well-mannered personality, we know hes going to make an incredible companion. Please visit our website to learn more about this amazing pug and begin the adoption process!

Story
Eugene is a 5-year-old tiny pug with a soft cream coat and an even softer heart. Hes friendly, social, and absolutely full of personality! He came from a home where he didnt get much experience with the world, but youd never know it Eugene loves people and is eager to learn everything about being part of a family. Hes curious, affectionate, and always ready for the next cuddle or snack. Hes making great progress with his potty manners and sometimes wears a belly band indoors as he continues to learn hes a smart little guy and catching on fast! Eugene adores his bully sticks (they might be his favorite discovery so far!) and just wants to make sure no one takes them away. Hes learning that theres always more to go around, and hes doing great with a little patience and guidance. This week, Eugene will be heading to the vet for his neuter and dental just one more step on his journey to being adoption-ready!
