Story
I'm Eddie and you need to adopt me cuz I'm one heck of a dog! I'm 18 lbs., about 12 years old, and still like to play. I love stuffed toys--especially carrying them around the house, de-stuffing them, and using them (or the occasionally swiped shoe) to entice you into a game of keep-away. Betcha can't catch me! I like all dogs except big, scary-looking ones. I even have a cat friend across the street, but most kitties and little critters are more fun to chase! At home, I would prefer having you to myself. That way, I can get plenty of the things I love. I won't have to share your attention, and I can eat by myself the way I like. I'll have more space to myself on the couch and your bed (yes, YOUR bed) to sleep undisturbed cuz I might growl if suddenly awakened. You'll also have more time to spend massaging me when I need a bath.    I'm OK riding in the car but don't like to be crated for long. I'll potty outside using a dog door except when it's raining, so I'll expect a different arrangement for those days. When I'm out, I like people, including kids; I'll bark out a hello and then hope for some pets. However, unfamiliar events at home can make me feel nervous, and I'll get an urge to lift my leg on something to establish my territory. I'm healthy except for a couple of issues. I have a disc problem in my back, but with medicine (about $30/month), I'm OK. I also have skin allergies (mostly dust mites) and take daily medicine. Since starting twice-weekly allergy shots, I've reduced my need for the medication by 25 percent, reducing its cost by $25/month. Are you ready for Eddie? I know I'm ready for you! See more pics and video of me at  https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/eddie .Our adoption fee is $200 for adult dogs or $250 for puppies under 6 months old. If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. Story
Lilly was adopted from a shelter in 2019. They did not have much history on her and estimated that she was 3 yrs old which would make her 8 yrs old now. Lilly is high energy but also likes to snuggle in a comfortable spot. The most important thing about her is that she loves to be around people. She will be your constant companion following you around. She would do best in a home where someone would be with her or can take her with you. She is a single pet now but acclimates quickly to other dogs. She can be sensitive about her back legs being touched. Her teeth were not in great shape when she was adopted and aging has lead to some falling out. She has switched to a softer food and has had no problems with eating or her weight. Lilly is amazing at playing catch. She loves a space to run and catch the ball, she is very fast! She currently has access to a doggy door and is very good at communicating her needs. She understands basic commands like sit.

Story
Have you heard the news??? Zara is available to be adopted . . . with NO ADOPTION FEE!! A huge thanks goes to Animal Legal Defense Fund for this! Because of ALDF, actress Kate Mara is sponsoring the adoption fee for some of our amazing dogs! Wow - can you believe it?? You can adopt one of our great dogs, and spend the adoption fee on new toys, soft beds, and yummy treats instead! ara, named Blyss at the shelter, ended up there when someone called and said there was a dog on their front porch. We don't know if she was lost, or someone had dumped her, but no one came to get her, until we did. This girl, who we think is a mix of rat terrier, min pin and a little bit of pittie, is a petite girl. She weighed 29 pounds when we pulled her from the shelter, and was a bit underweight, with some filling out to do. She is about 2 years old now, and is at her perfect weight, weighing about 38 pounds. She has a slender little body with long legs, a beautiful red brindle coat, and ears for days! If you have wanted a dog to do dog sports with - like agility - this sweet athletic girl may be a great fit for you! Like all of our dogs, Zara is in Atlanta. She can be adopted at any time, and will be available to go to her new home when she graduates from the program in mid-December. July 25, 2024, 12:17 am

Story
Tiny Wren here. I am an amazing girl. Small as I am, I can leap right over the 3 foot fence in front of the house at the rescue and squeeze back through the slats to return! I’m a l’il laughing escape artist with “Flying Nun” ears who is a little shy at first but warms up very quickly. I enjoy the company of other dogs and I hold my own very well. I am eager to announce anyone arriving at the ranch and I am fully prepared to solicit them for treats. Although I am young, I have already had a litter of puppies, No more of that, though, as I’m being spayed the last week of April so I can concentrate on enjoying the puppyhood I missed. I am about 12 pounds full grown and approximately 1.5 years old. While I detests squirrels, she is actually good with cats… perhaps because they, too, are the squirrels’ enemies? https://www.jackrusselladoptions.org/adopt-a-dog/ As always, the rescue folks require that potential adopters have a secure, above-ground, fenced yard for my safety and security.
