Story
Hello, my name is Linky West! I'm an 8 year old, 15 pound, rat terrier mix. I'm a spunky and sweet girl who is a bit shy and unsure at first, but I warm up eventually, especially if you have treats. I'm spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, healthy, and ready to find my new home!   I had a loving person, but sadly they passed away. I was left alone in an abandoned house with only my fur friends and the occasional visitor to feed me. It's not surprising that I am loving life in my foster home where I have nonstop human companionship and furry friendships. I even started playing with toys and they are so fun!   I live with four other dogs right now. My favorite is the big, shy one (I love him!) and my least favorite is the loud, obnoxious one (I hate him!). I also lived with cats in my last home. My favorite companion is my human though. Once I get to know you, I will ADORE you. Where you go, I go. I will sit on the couch with you and sleep in bed with you. Sometimes, I will show off my vocal capabilities, so my foster recommends no shared walls - apartments, condos, etc.   I am not a fan of collars, harnesses, or leashes - they scare me! I hope to get more comfortable with them after more time and practice, but for now, I need a securely fenced yard in my new home. I can be a bit of an escape artist, so anyone who adopts me will have to be careful to keep me safe and secure. I don't mind going in a crate for meal time, but I don't like going in one for extended periods of time. That's okay because I don't make mischief when left out to roam freely while home alone. One other awesome thing about me is that I'm house trained!   I'm really enjoying life in my foster home, but I can't wait to find my forever home! Would you like to be my new best friend?   An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Story
Meet Pedro Santiago!  Say hello to Pedro Santiago, a 1&#226&#128&#145year&#226&#128&#145old, 11&#226&#128&#145pound Rat Terrier mix with a big personality packed into a fun&#226&#128&#145size body. Pedro is friendly, sweet, and convinced that everyone he meets might be his new best friend. He does great with kids, adults, and other dogs, though he may give you a shy “who, me?” look at first. Because Pedro is small but mighty, large dogs can seem a little intimidating (can you blame him?), but he thrives with small to medium&#226&#128&#145sized dogs and truly enjoys having a canine buddy. With medium energy and maximum affection, Pedro’s favorite hobbies include hanging out with his people, soaking up love, and being generally adorable. Training & Manners (A+ Student) Pedro is potty trained on a schedule, can hold it for 8+ hours, and sleeps through the night like a champ. He’s leash trained and walks politely with guidance - no dragging you down the street like a sled dog. While Pedro isn’t crate trained, he’s non&#226&#128&#145destructive and earns full trust free&#226&#128&#145roaming the house, especially if another dog is around to keep him company. He already has a solid training foundation and is eager to keep learning (treats help - just saying). Ideal Home (Pedro’s Dream Scenario) Pedro would love a home that’s ready to help a young pup continue growing into his best self. A securely fenced yard would be a bonus, but he’s perfectly happy with regular walks and adventures. Since Pedro can be a bit vocal when left alone, a home without shared walls is ideal - he just has a lot to say sometimes! With a little patience and consistency, Pedro will reward you with loyalty, love, and a lifetime of tiny tail wags. He’s sweet, manageable, and ready to be someone’s forever sidekick. Bonnie is house trained, crate trained, and full of heart. Story
You'll never want to say goodbye to this tiny little sweetheart once you meet her! Toodle&#226&#128&#145Loo is a 1&#226&#128&#145year&#226&#128&#145old, 8 lb. rattie/dachshund/chihuahua mix with a joyful spirit and a whole lot of love to give. She's friendly with people and small dogs, always ready to play, and happiest when she's close to her humans. This tiny girl can be a bit barky and mouthy when excited, but her sweet nature and treat&#226&#128&#145loving enthusiasm make her easy to adore. She's crate-trained and her house-training is coming along nicely, though rainy days are still a work in progress. Because she bonds deeply and can be clingy, she'd thrive in a home where someone is around often. Toodle&#226&#128&#145Loo came to rescue when her previous owner left for college and couldn't give her the time she needed, and now she's ready for a family who will cherish her lively, affectionate personality.  To see more of Toodle-Loo, you can go to her online album at  http://www.imageevent.com/newrattitude/toodleloo If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www.
