Story
Add a kick to your days with Cayenne -- a petite, 10 lb., 1 year-old rat terrier mix. She has a gorgeous red and white patterned coat and athletic build. Cayenne would make a lovely companion to an adopter who will have time to spend giving her lots of attention and affection. Cayenne is a young and energetic lady who is happiest when playing or snuggling with her humans. She is still very puppy-like and loves to chew a bully stick and tug of war. Sometimes she gets carried away and can play a little too rough. Her foster family has been guiding her with training and she is learning that fingers are not chew toys! Cayenne is also doing very well with her house-training. She doesn't have accidents if she goes out frequently, though she may hesitate to venture outdoors in poor weather. The right adopter will have the time and patience to continue training her. She will pay you back with her sweetness and good nature. There are two other dogs in Cayenne's foster home and she gets along with them wonderfully. She would do fine as an only pet or as a sibling to other dogs. Cayenne will be the perfect addition to your family if you are looking for a fun new friend to spice things up and love you unconditionally. Fore more photos, visit her online album at imageevent.com/newrattitude/cayenne .Our adoption fee is $200 for adult dogs or $250 for puppies under 6 months old. Story
Minnie is about 4 years old, 30lbs, and a Rat Terrier/Beagle mix. She was found wandering on the road and her owner was never located, but she is chipped now and up to date on all shots. This pup is absolutely adorable and deserves a loving, forever home, so here are the positives as well as the negatives: Positives: House trained, no accidents Not destructive of things in house, will chew her toys but never anything else Crate trained, likes her crate, though I often leave her out when Im not home Loves cuddles! Loves car rides! Medium energy, not a total couch potato but not bouncing off the walls either Has gone to daycare and boarding and done well Negatives: Leash reactivity, have tried to work with her on this but it hasnt helped much. I am not a trainer, however. Dominant personality, would be good as the only dog or with a submissive dog. Barks at noises, so probably not a good fit for an apartment building. Can bring her to meet you within an hour of Atlanta!

Story
Lilly was adopted from a shelter in 2019. They did not have much history on her and estimated that she was 3 yrs old which would make her 8 yrs old now. Lilly is high energy but also likes to snuggle in a comfortable spot. The most important thing about her is that she loves to be around people. She will be your constant companion following you around. She would do best in a home where someone would be with her or can take her with you. She is a single pet now but acclimates quickly to other dogs. She can be sensitive about her back legs being touched. Her teeth were not in great shape when she was adopted and aging has lead to some falling out. She has switched to a softer food and has had no problems with eating or her weight. Lilly is amazing at playing catch. She loves a space to run and catch the ball, she is very fast! She currently has access to a doggy door and is very good at communicating her needs. She understands basic commands like sit.

Story
Have you heard the news??? Zara is available to be adopted . . . with NO ADOPTION FEE!! A huge thanks goes to Animal Legal Defense Fund for this! Because of ALDF, actress Kate Mara is sponsoring the adoption fee for some of our amazing dogs! Wow - can you believe it?? You can adopt one of our great dogs, and spend the adoption fee on new toys, soft beds, and yummy treats instead! ara, named Blyss at the shelter, ended up there when someone called and said there was a dog on their front porch. We don't know if she was lost, or someone had dumped her, but no one came to get her, until we did. This girl, who we think is a mix of rat terrier, min pin and a little bit of pittie, is a petite girl. She weighed 29 pounds when we pulled her from the shelter, and was a bit underweight, with some filling out to do. She is about 2 years old now, and is at her perfect weight, weighing about 38 pounds. She has a slender little body with long legs, a beautiful red brindle coat, and ears for days! If you have wanted a dog to do dog sports with - like agility - this sweet athletic girl may be a great fit for you! Like all of our dogs, Zara is in Atlanta. She can be adopted at any time, and will be available to go to her new home when she graduates from the program in mid-December. August 11, 2024, 12:13 am
