I got Zara as a puppy when I was single with no children and she’s been my baby for 8 years. Now, that I’m married and a mom of almost two babies ( pregnant with one on the way) she doesn’t get the love and attention she deserves. Zara is very sweet & protective of those she loves but doesn’t bite. All bark no bite. Once she gets use to certain ppl she’s really sweet with others as well. She is potty trained and will inform you when she needs to go. She would be best in a home without other dogs ( it’s a hit or miss if they will get along). Children are also a hit or miss with Zara. She’s great with my daughter but doesn’t always do well with my friend’s children. She will lay at your feet and with you when you’re sick- she’s very loving. She loves being outside but does bark. She would do great with someone who wanted a little protection maybe even a single person or retired couple. She’s very healthy, never had any issues. Happy to answer any questions.

At about 15 pounds, she’s the perfect size: small enough to curl up beside you yet sturdy enough to keep up with any adventure! Zuni’s story started in a rural shelter after being surrendered by a breeder. While her beginning didn’t offer much stability, Zuni has been quietly and courageously learning what it means to feel safe and she’s come so far. She’s playful, quirky, and has an huge soft spot for treats. She absolutely thrives around other dogs and would love a home with a confident canine buddy to show her the ropes. Watching her relax and play with another dog is like watching someone finally exhale. At home, Zuni is gentle and sweet.
