Story
Have you heard the news??? Zara is available to be adopted . . . with NO ADOPTION FEE!! A huge thanks goes to Animal Legal Defense Fund for this! Because of ALDF, actress Kate Mara is sponsoring the adoption fee for some of our amazing dogs! Wow - can you believe it?? You can adopt one of our great dogs, and spend the adoption fee on new toys, soft beds, and yummy treats instead! ara, named Blyss at the shelter, ended up there when someone called and said there was a dog on their front porch. We don't know if she was lost, or someone had dumped her, but no one came to get her, until we did. This girl, who we think is a mix of rat terrier, min pin and a little bit of pittie, is a petite girl. She weighed 29 pounds when we pulled her from the shelter, and was a bit underweight, with some filling out to do. She is about 2 years old now, and is at her perfect weight, weighing about 38 pounds. She has a slender little body with long legs, a beautiful red brindle coat, and ears for days! If you have wanted a dog to do dog sports with - like agility - this sweet athletic girl may be a great fit for you! Like all of our dogs, Zara is in Atlanta. She can be adopted at any time, and will be available to go to her new home when she graduates from the program in mid-December. November 1, 2024, 6:01 pm

Story
Ruby! What a lovely gem this pup is! She is a laid back, snuggly little girl with a sparkly personality.   Ruby is a rat terrier/Jack Russel mix. She seems to have short legs with a chubby body. She is about 3 months old and weighs around 10 lbs -- and growing fast! We think she may grow to a medium size between 30-50 lbs. when she is an adult. Ruby would love to have a home with another canine brother or sister. She enjoys the company of other dogs and is a little bit of a follower right now. She is a wonderful puppy looking for a family that is home enough to continue her house-training and teach her the basics. If you'd like to see more pictures of cute little Ruby, you can go to  http://www.imageevent.com/newrattitude/ruby   .Beginning March 1, 2025, our adoption fee is $250 for adult dogs or $300 for puppies under 6 months old. Story
If you're looking for a feisty playmate, a super affectionate snuggle buddy, and an eager walking companion all rolled into one, you're looking for Rocky! He is a 5-year-old, 17 lb. rat terrier-Chihuahua mix who is full of energy and enthusiasm. He thrives on affection and physical contact (even teeth brushing!) and will want to hang out near you and soak up all the attention you can provide -- especially if that attention involves a game of tug, fetch, or chase. When you're busy, he will run around excitedly playing in your fenced yard or maybe just settle in for a quick nap. Rocky has had extensive training and is a quick learner who already knows many verbal cues like "sit", "lie down", "off", and "place". He is reliably house-trained, rides well in the car, and has nice manners. Despite all of Rocky's charm and devotion to his family, he is challenged by anxiety around new people and larger dogs, and encounters with strangers (both human and canine) can be loud and tense. Although he generally gets along with other dogs his size or smaller, he gets territorial in his home environment, so Rocky needs to be an only dog. He hasn't spent much time around cats, but he could likely learn to peacefully coexist with a calm, confident feline friend. With people, he will eventually learn to trust them and turn into a warm cuddle buddy, but in the beginning, strangers who don't want to risk being nipped shouldn't try to rush the process of becoming friends. If he is given that time and space, he will soon show his happy, affectionate, fun-loving side. If you have a fenced yard where he has space to run, no other animals or small children competing for resources or your attention, and few visitors, he will be in heaven. In the right home, Rocky will be happy, utterly devoted, affectionate, obedient, engaging, and your most faithful companion. Rocky reveals more in his photos at  https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/rocky   .       Beginning March 1, 2025, our adoption fee is $250 for adult dogs or $300 for puppies under 6 months old. Story
Say hello to Linus, a lovable rattie mix who is as sweet and cuddly as they come! Linus is a 2-year-old, 17 lb. love bug --  a loyal companion who will follow you around like a little shadow, ready to offer comfort and companionship. Whether you're relaxing on the couch or running errands, Linus will be your trusty sidekick, always eager to curl up in your lap or share sloppy kisses. If you ever leave his sight, he will greet you like a long-lost friend the moment you return. Who wouldn't appreciate that kind of adoration?? But don't let his cuddly side fool you—in true terrier fashion, Linus has plenty of energy to burn! Linus is house-trained and well-mannered, perfectly content to hang out in his crate overnight or for short periods during the day if needed. This friendly pup loves all humans he has ever met and is also great with other dogs, so he'll be a happy addition to nearly any household, big or small. He's still learning the ropes of leash walking, but with a little time and practice, we're confident he will figure it out. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a playful spirit and a heart full of love, Linus is the dog for you!   See more photos of him here:  https://hosting.imageevent.com/newrattitude/linus      Beginning March 1, 2025, our adoption fee is $250 for adult dogs or $300 for puppies under 6 months old.
