Story
Pito was found by me DeKalb animal Shelter on February 18 2021. Where I originally went to look for a big dog he was the only small dog that came and laid on my leg within 2 minutes of hanging out with him in a playpen. I formally made the decision to keep him, only to find out that the day before he was roaming around the city. He has been the sweetest light, Ray of sunshine, and most loving creature Ive ever met on this earth. Unfortunately Im going through a lot of Life changes at this moment and I can no longer care for him the way I originally intended to. Not only am I allergic to him these last 3 years and kept pushing through it, Im also not able to give him the affection and attention he deserves. I want him to have a family that is able to hold him, play with him, and love him with the same amount of unconditional love he shows. Ideally I would like the person, or family, to be able to live in Atlanta or I can still maintain some sort of relationship with him. Thank you.

Story
Tiny Wren here. I am an amazing girl. Small as I am, I can leap right over the 3 foot fence in front of the house at the rescue and squeeze back through the slats to return! I’m a l’il laughing escape artist with “Flying Nun” ears who is a little shy at first but warms up very quickly. I enjoy the company of other dogs and I hold my own very well. I am eager to announce anyone arriving at the ranch and I am fully prepared to solicit them for treats. Although I am young, I have already had a litter of puppies, No more of that, though, as I’m being spayed the last week of April so I can concentrate on enjoying the puppyhood I missed. I am about 12 pounds full grown and approximately 1.5 years old. While I detests squirrels, she is actually good with cats… perhaps because they, too, are the squirrels’ enemies? https://www.jackrusselladoptions.org/adopt-a-dog/ As always, the rescue folks require that potential adopters have a secure, above-ground, fenced yard for my safety and security.

Story
Love-bug Wilson is an 8-year-old male rat terrier mix who weighs about 15 lbs. Wilson is a true couch potato and would prefer a quieter, more relaxed home to lounge his days away. He's an affectionate, kind soul whose favorite past times are eating, sleeping, and snuggling with his people.  He is fully house-trained and gets along well with other dogs and dog-savvy cats. Wilson does enjoy playing with other dogs but he's also content living as a single dog...as long as he receives lots of love from his people! Wilson requires a fenced yard that he can enjoy relaxing in and enjoying sunny days.  To ensure your home is a good fit for Wilson, a local adopter in GA is required. If you are looking for a totally sweet, mellow guy that loves to spend time with his people, then Wilson might be the perfect dog for you. For more photos of Wilson, go to https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/wilsonOur adoption fee is $200 for adult dogs or $250 for puppies under 6 months old. Story
Introducing Trixi! Trixi is a 1-year-old rat terrier/chihuahua mix who full of personality and charm! She and her mother Pixi came to New Rattitude from a rural animal control. She is a tiny girl at only 8 lbs. Trixi is very social and loves people and to be snuggled and petted. She'd make an excellent emotional support dog and companion as she loves her person and always wants them right by her side. As a youthful young dog, she loves to run around her yard and play with toys. When she goes outside to play, she has been known to chase squirrels and birds like a true terrier. This girl is fast and agile!  After she gets used to her home and routine, she has proven to be reliably house-trained. Trixi could be a perfect companion for an adopter who wants a young energetic dog who is also affectionate and devoted. If you are looking to add a new member to your family, please consider Trixi, a little lovebug! Story
Have you heard the news??? Zara is available to be adopted . . . with NO ADOPTION FEE!! A huge thanks goes to Animal Legal Defense Fund for this! Because of ALDF, actress Kate Mara is sponsoring the adoption fee for some of our amazing dogs! Wow - can you believe it?? You can adopt one of our great dogs, and spend the adoption fee on new toys, soft beds, and yummy treats instead! ara, named Blyss at the shelter, ended up there when someone called and said there was a dog on their front porch. We don't know if she was lost, or someone had dumped her, but no one came to get her, until we did. This girl, who we think is a mix of rat terrier, min pin and a little bit of pittie, is a petite girl. She weighed 29 pounds when we pulled her from the shelter, and was a bit underweight, with some filling out to do. She is about 2 years old now, and is at her perfect weight, weighing about 38 pounds. She has a slender little body with long legs, a beautiful red brindle coat, and ears for days! If you have wanted a dog to do dog sports with - like agility - this sweet athletic girl may be a great fit for you! Like all of our dogs, Zara is in Atlanta. She can be adopted at any time, and will be available to go to her new home when she graduates from the program in mid-December. November 1, 2024, 6:01 pm
