Story
Kimora’s a 10yo 12lb Shih Tzu mix. She’s dog and kid friendly. She’s housebroken when kept on a schedule and her people are alert to her signs. She is left in an Xpen with pee pads when foster goes out since she is blind. She is used to a fenced in yard which makes it easier since she is blind. She likes cuddling next to her people on the sofa and loves getting pets especially enjoys getting her head and ears rubbed. She will follow her person around the house then other times she will go off on her own, climb up soft steps onto the sofa, curl up and sleep. She will bark if she wants to get down. Kimora MUST have people who understand caring for a blind dog. If your home DOES NOT fit this please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone not a fit. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Kimora is almost completely blind. She does see some light and reacts if you put your hand towards her face. She’s spayed, vaccinated, HW negative and microchipped. Currently fostered in Feasterville, PA. If your home fits the bio and MUST haves and you’re interested in applying to adopt please do so at www.tprescue.org

Story
Meet Petra! Petra is an adorable 5 month old Shih Tzu  girl looking for a furever home!  She is dog and people friendly.  She is not cat tested. She would love to have another dog friend in her forever home.  She loves going outside and playing with toys.  She loves loves attention and a good cuddle session with her favorite people.  She is not yet house or leash trained so she would need a patient adopter committed to helping her florish. Ideally she needs someone home most of the time since she is a puppy and needs training.  She is working on basic commands in her foster home and is doing well.  She is a sweetheart and cannot wait to meet her furever family! Heres what Petras foster has to say:Petra is the perfect dog. She is an easy-going, laid-back puppy. She is very affectionate and playful. She loves everyone and every dog she has met. She is a quick learner and likes to please. No problems with baths as long as you do not get water into her nose. She prefers a gentle run of the facet. She does wiggle a bit but it’s expected for a pup. She was excellent when I groomed her.   She loves being with her people, especially her person. If you are interested in Petra, please submit an application: https://peytonsplaceanimalrescue.org/adoption-application/   Petra is only available for adoption in NJ/Eastern PA, and a spay deposit is required. ##1947574##

Story
Meet Philomena! Philomena is a 5 year old Shih Tzu girl looking for her forever home.  She is very sweet, but shy at first.  She is dog friendly and will play with another dog, but is also fine being an only dog. She will go outside to go potty, but takes a bit for her to understand that. She’s doing pretty well on a leash but still needs more practice.  She is a sweet, shy girl, who will need a family committed to training her to be the best little girl she can be. She is a beautiful girl, super sweet, and cant wait to find her forever home. She is up to date on vaccines and is spayed. To apply for Philomena, please submit an application: https://peytonsplaceanimalrescue.org/adoption-application/ ##1973774##

Story
Oreo was born on October 25, 2008. We adopted him when he was about 10 weeks old and had him ever since. Due to Oreo's age, he does have accidents. Oreo was raised around cats and they would play together but that was a long time ago and I don't know if he would get along with cats now. Oreo is shy when you first meet him. Oreo does sleep with his tongue out and he snores. He also likes to carry small bones in him mouth (we think he's trying to impersonate Triumph the comic dog) Sadly, we can no longer keep him because of medical issues that have been recently diagnosed with my wife and son.
