Story
* To be considered for a meet/adoption, please read the full biography to see whether they may be a good fit for your home, then submit an online application at dpsrescue.org. Mochi, a charming 1 year old kitty with striking blue eyes, arrived at DPS by a magical twist of fate. One crisp morning, while exploring a mystical garden, he stumbled upon a hidden portal made of shimmering light. Curious, Mochi stepped through and found himself at our doorstep, surrounded by friendly faces. Despite this unexpected journey, Mochi remains a beacon of joy. He's playful, sweet, and incredibly loyal, always ready to share his gentle spirit. Mochi really likes his cheeks and ears rubbed for pets. He loves to play with the ball in the track game and enjoys the cardboard scratcher and springs. He likes to talk to you and will vocalize his needs. He has the most beautiful markings and a fabulous personality. He has been living with Orion, so if you are looking for a pair of young kitties to adopt together, they would be happy to get adopted together. He can easily join a home with other pets and children. Adopting Mochi means gaining a faithful friend who brings a touch of magic into everyday life.   He has been neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, flea treated and microchipped. HIs adoption fee is $150. June 26, 2026, 3:25 pm

Story
* To be considered for a meet/adoption, please read the full biography to see whether they may be a good fit for your home, then submit an online application at dpsrescue.org. Lilly and Rose, 5 month old bonded sisters, found themselves at DPS by a twist of magic. One evening, while exploring their neighborhood, they stumbled upon a hidden garden shimmering with enchantment. Curious, they touched a mystical flower, and in a blink, they were transported to our doorstep. These sweet, gentle, and smart sisters share a unique bond that fills any room with warmth and love. Lily is the more social of the two, always ready for a lap to sleep on or a loving head pat. She has very unique markings and a coat reminiscent of the ragdoll breed. Rose is a sleek little panther that needs a little time to trust you, but she takes her cues from Lily and if she says you're a good human, Rose quickly follows her lead. They would love to have a tall cat tree and comfy beds in their new home. They would also enjoy having lots of toys to play with. Both girls are simply adorable. Adopting Lilly and Rose means welcoming a magical and loving duo into your life, promising endless joy and companionship. They have been spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, flea treated and microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350 for them as a pair. June 26, 2026, 3:25 pm

Story
Peanut is a mixed breed cat who we adopted from when he was a kitten. He lived with us since then for 3 years but now with me moving into apartment that doesn't allow pets to roam around the building it makes Peanut stressed to the point he got FIC. With walks outside he is back to normal now but still needs an easier access to the outdoor.

Story
You've heard of people being a girl's girl or guy's guy, but we have come to know many kitties who are cat's cats. Venuz certainly qualifies as she feels most herself, the safest and the most relaxed when she has cat companions in her life. Venuz was formerly an unfixed Mama cat living in a colony outside, and while the conditions may have been rough she was happy to be with her cat community. Until some of the other female cats began rejecting and bullying her, and the caretaker who helped them realized she was in danger. That experience has not dulled her desire to be back with cats who understand her. If you have a multi-cat household or are willing to become one, consider this beauty in bloom.  After a good acclimation period in her foster home, Venuz has grown increasingly fond of her foster since they started playing together (once she figured out how wand toys work!). She's always excited to see her foster Dad now and does happy trust rolls and back arches. She approaches him with glee, and has begun to understand the rhythms of human activity more every day. Venuz has come leaps and bounds from he first days indoors and the journey continues, adopters interested should be cat savvy, patient and understand signals of overstimulation signals. In return she will be your bestie's bestie and you will all get to grow into what family life looks like together. She does enjoy affection and we think over time with her safety needs met through her cat companions it will open her up to exploring more with humans. The sky is truly the limit for Venuz, we think one year from now she will be thriving so much nobody would believe her life started in the Goodwill dumpsters.  This cat is in a foster home. To meet her, please fill out an adoption application so that we'll have your contact information, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. www.thedancingcat.org/adoptJune 26, 2026, 1:39 pm

Story
Meet Right Said Fred Smooth. Sophisticated. Happily retired. Quick Look Name: Right Said Fred Age: Adult Size: Large and sleek Special Traits: Professional napper, treat enthusiast, devoted bedtime companion Best Friend: Anyone with gentle hands, a cozy bed, and snacks in their pocket About Right Said Fred Looking for a cat who's left his wild days behind and fully embraced the finer things in life? Meet Right Said Fred, a handsome, sleek gentleman and reformed rake tomcat who's discovering that indoor living is every bit as wonderful as everyone promised. These days, Fred's priorities are refreshingly simple: a soft bed, a full belly, plenty of head scratches, and a reliable supply of treats. He's adapted to his new life with remarkable enthusiasm and seems determined to make up for every uncomfortable nap he ever took outdoors. While he still carries himself with the quiet confidence of a cat who's seen a thing or two, his favorite adventure now is following his people around the house in hopeful anticipation that a snack might magically appear. He's never pushy—just quietly optimistic. Fred isn't especially interested in high-speed zoomies or elaborate acrobatics. Instead, he's perfected the art of leisurely lounging and believes one of life's greatest pleasures is climbing into bed with his favorite person each night and settling in for a peaceful sleep. Personality Highlights Retired Rogue: His tomcat days are behind him, and he's fully committed to the indoor lifestyle. Head Scratch Connoisseur: A few gentle pets on the head are one of his favorite things in the world. Treat Motivated: Will happily trail after you in case snacks are being distributed. Champion Napper: A calm, easygoing companion who has elevated relaxation into an art form. Loves Sleeping on the bed with his people every night Head scratches and gentle affection Following you around for treats Sunny windows, soft blankets, and long naps Living a life of comfort and luxury Not a Fan Of Needless drama Cardio Empty treat jars Ideal Home Right Said Fred would thrive in: A relaxed home with plenty of cozy places to nap Someone who enjoys a handsome, calm, affectionate companion A household with respectful cats—or as the one and only king of the castle Interested? Right Said Fred has traded the uncertainty of life outdoors for soft blankets, loving people, and nightly bed privileges and he has absolutely no intention of looking back. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will quietly shadow you for treats, melt into head scratches, and faithfully keep your feet warm every night, Fred is ready to move in and make himself at home. Part of adopting an adult cat is discovering all the little routines and quirks that make them unique, and Right Said Fred has clearly decided that his next chapter should be one filled with comfort, companionship, and well-earned naps. Prior to adoption, all cats are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped. Fred tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (“FIV”) which causes a weakening of a cat’s immune system. Cats with FIV can live a healthy normal life, both in quality and longevity This cat is currently in a foster home. To meet the cat, please fill out an adoption application so that we'll have your contact information, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
