Meet Sydney. If you've never lived with a Siamese, here's something you should know: You're not just adopting a cat. You're adopting a roommate...a best friend...and someone who fully expects to be included in every conversation. Sydney is a 5 year old Flame Point Siamese with breathtaking blue eyes, a heart overflowing with love, and the kind of personality that makes people fall head over heels for the breed. He's affectionate, wonderfully vocal, incredibly loyal, and happiest when he's right beside his favorite person. If you're looking for a companion rather than 'just a cat,' Sydney has been waiting for you. Sydney believes silence is overrated. Making coffee? He'd like to chat. Working from home? He'll happily supervise...and offer commentary. Watching television? He has opinions. Lots of opinions. And if you tell him about your day, he'll politely answer back with stories of his own. Life with Sydney is never lonely because he truly enjoys being part of everything you do. He's a people cat through and through. If you're sitting on the couch, he'll likely be nearby. If you're working at your desk, expect a handsome blue-eyed assistant. When bedtime rolls around, Sydney's favorite place in the world is snuggled up beside his person, where he can drift off knowing his family is close. His idea of happiness isn't complicated. A soft bed. A tall cat tree where he can survey his kingdom. A sunny window. A cozy spot beside the person he loves. And plenty of conversations throughout the day. Sydney's journey hasn't always been an easy one. Before coming to rescue, life wasn't especially kind to him, and while his body has healed, his heart is still learning that the world can be a safe place. Because of that, Sydney is looking for someone patient, understanding, and experienced with cats—someone who recognizes that trust isn't built overnight. The beautiful thing about Sydney is this: He wants to trust. He believes in people. He just needs someone willing to let him move at his own pace. And once that bond is formed... It's incredibly special. Sydney also tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). For many cats, this sounds far more intimidating than it actually is. The truth is that FIV-positive cats commonly live long, happy, normal lives. The main difference is that their immune systems aren't quite as strong, so routine veterinary care and good overall health are especially important. It doesn't define Sydney, and it certainly doesn't diminish what an extraordinary companion he is. Sydney would be happiest as your one and only pet. He's waited long enough to have a family of his own, and he'd love nothing more than to be the king of his castle, soaking up all the love and attention he deserves. Imagine working from home with one loyal little shadow quietly following you from room to room. Imagine ending each evening with a warm purring companion curled beside you under the blankets. Imagine carrying on conversations with a cat who always seems to have something to say—and somehow makes every answer feel important. Some cats become part of your home. Sydney becomes part of your life. He'll celebrate your good days, comfort you through the hard ones, and remind you every single morning that having someone to come home to is one of life's greatest gifts. Sydney has been neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FeLV, dewormed, flea treated, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $150. If you've been searching for a loyal companion with striking blue eyes, a gentle heart, and enough love to last a lifetime, Sydney is ready to start the next chapter of his story—with you.  July 18, 2026, 7:12 pm

Leilani Is Ready to Bring a Little Paradise Home. The name Leilani means 'heavenly flower' or 'royal child of heaven,' and somehow, it couldn't suit her more perfectly. Leilani is a 1 year old beautiful Lilac Point Siamese possibly Siberian with a gentle soul, a loving heart, and a resilience that leaves everyone who meets her in awe. She's the kind of cat who reminds you that even after life's hardest storms, beautiful things can still bloom. Leilani's story began with heartbreak. She and her two tiny kittens were abandoned outside our Safehouse, left to face an uncertain future. Thankfully, they were found before tragedy struck, and Leilani immediately proved what an incredible mother she was. She devoted herself to her babies, keeping them safe until help arrived. Now that her kittens are ready to begin lives of their own, it's finally Leilani's turn to discover what it feels like to simply be loved. And trust us... She's embracing the idea wholeheartedly. Her foster family has watched her blossom into an affectionate, trusting, and wonderfully easygoing companion. Whatever happened in her past hasn't stolen her ability to love. Instead, she's chosen to believe in people again—and she rewards that kindness with gentle purrs, head nudges, and the kind of quiet companionship that makes a house feel like home. Leilani isn't one for drama. She's more of an 'I'll curl up beside you while you read a book,' 'I'll greet you when you come home,' and 'I'll happily spend the evening keeping you company' kind of girl. She's independent enough to entertain herself, but affectionate enough that you'll often find her nearby, quietly reminding you that you're never really alone. If your perfect evening includes a soft blanket, a cup of tea, and a peaceful cat purring beside you, Leilani is already imagining where she'd like to sit. One thing we'd like her future family to know is that Leilani tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). For many people, hearing those three letters can sound intimidating. The reality is much more reassuring. Cats with FIV commonly live long, happy, completely normal lives. The main difference is that their immune systems aren't quite as strong as other cats', so it's important to provide routine veterinary care and keep them healthy as they age. FIV is not a reason to overlook an otherwise wonderful cat. In fact, if no one told you Leilani had FIV, you would never know. She plays. She loves. She purrs. She enjoys life exactly as every cat should. And she has so much love left to give. Leilani has already overcome more than any young cat should ever have to face. She survived abandonment, protected her kittens, learned to trust again, and continues to greet each new day with grace and optimism. Now all she's missing is someone to share it with. Imagine opening your front door after a long day and being greeted by a pair of bright eyes that seem genuinely happy you're home. Imagine quiet mornings made better by a soft purr. Imagine looking across the couch and finding one beautiful little cat peacefully curled beside you, completely content simply because she's finally where she belongs. Some flowers bloom in gardens. Leilani blooms wherever she's loved. Leilani has been spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FeLV, dewormed, flea treated, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $150. If you're ready to welcome a little piece of paradise into your life, Leilani is waiting to meet you. July 18, 2026, 7:12 pm

Story
* To be considered for a meet/adoption, please read the full biography to see whether they may be a good fit for your home, then submit an online application at www.dpsrescue.org.    Every Garden Needs Two Special Flowers... Meet Lily & Rose! Some flowers are beautiful on their own. But every once in a while, you find two that were simply meant to bloom side by side. Lily and Rose are 5 month old bonded sisters whose personalities complement each other as perfectly as their names. They are sweet, gentle, playful, and incredibly loving, and after spending every day of their young lives together, they're looking for a forever family that will let them continue their adventure as a pair. Think of them as the perfect buddy movie... One is the outgoing tour guide. The other is the quiet best friend who eventually steals the show. Together? They're absolutely irresistible. Lily: The Social Butterfly If Lily were a flower, she'd be the one leaning over the garden fence to introduce herself to the neighbors. She believes laps were invented specifically for cats. If you sit down... Congratulations. You've just volunteered. Lily adores people and happily accepts head scratches, cuddles, and afternoon naps curled up beside her favorite humans. She's wonderfully confident, affectionate, and has the kind of personality that makes visitors immediately ask, 'Can I pet her?' Her beautiful coat, with markings reminiscent of a Ragdoll, only adds to her charm. She's absolutely stunning—but she has no idea. She's far too busy making friends. Rose: The Quiet Beauty Then there's Rose. If Lily opens the conversation... Rose quietly listens before deciding whether you're worthy. She isn't shy because she lacks confidence. She's simply thoughtful. Rose likes to take a moment to figure people out before giving away her heart. The wonderful part? Once Lily has decided you're a good person, Rose seems perfectly happy accepting her recommendation. It's as if she says, 'Well...if Lily trusts you, I suppose I can too.' Before long, you'll notice Rose sitting a little closer. Accepting a few pets. Joining you on the couch. Then suddenly you'll realize she's become just as attached to you as you've become to her. And honestly? Watching Rose's confidence blossom is one of the most rewarding parts of knowing her. Better Together These girls truly bring out the best in one another. Lily gives Rose confidence. Rose gives Lily companionship. They wrestle. They chase toys. They curl up together for naps. They groom one another. And after a busy day of kitten adventures, you'll often find them sleeping nose-to-nose, looking like two flowers that closed their petals for the evening. Their bond is beautiful to witness and exactly why they're looking for a home together. Designing Their Dream Garden If Lily and Rose could decorate their forever home, their wish list wouldn't be very long. A tall cat tree where they can survey their kingdom. A sunny window for bird watching. A basket overflowing with toys. A couple of ridiculously soft beds... ...although there's a very good chance they'll choose to sleep together anyway. Most importantly, they'd love a family that understands some of life's greatest joys come in pairs. Double the Cats... Double the Love People sometimes worry that adopting two kittens means twice the work. Lily and Rose would respectfully disagree. They keep each other entertained. They comfort each other. They burn off their zoomies together. And they ensure neither one is ever lonely. Instead of one little heart filling your home... You'll have two. And somehow, they make each other even sweeter. Imagine coming home after a long day to find Lily happily greeting you while Rose peeks around the corner to make sure the coast is clear. Imagine watching them race up their cat tree, chase one another through the house, then collapse together for a nap as though the Olympics just ended. Imagine spending years watching their friendship grow while they become part of your family. Some flowers are simply prettier together. Lily and Rose are one of those rare pairs. They have been spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, dewormed, flea treated, and microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350 for the pair. If your home has room for twice the purrs, twice the laughter, and a lifetime of sisterly love, Lily and Rose are ready to bloom right into your heart. July 18, 2026, 7:12 pm

Story
Miso is a handsome 9-year-old Siamese who loves nothing more than attention and cuddling with his favorite people. Whether he's snuggled up in bed or exploring a secure catio, Miso enjoys the simple things in life. He's good at communicating his boundaries with gentle cues like a swishing tail or a soft nudge, so he'll thrive with adopters who understand cat body language. Miso would do best in a home with children ages 5 and up. He has lived with a Chihuahua his whole life and may do well with a calm, respectful dog after a proper introduction. If you're looking for a loving, loyal companion with a playful side (especially when water is involved!), Miso is ready to find his forever home. Miso is being cared for by a member of the community.  To arrange to meet this cat or find out more, please fill out our application here: https://www.thedancingcat.org/adopt-courtesy For more information regarding our Courtesy Posts, see www.thedancingcat.org/courtesy-postsJuly 18, 2026, 7:17 pm

Story
Bunnelby is the fearless adventurer of the pair. He believes every person is already his best friend and has absolutely no concept of personal space—which is part of his charm! If you're sitting down, expect him to be in your lap (or on your shoulder) in no time. He's aggressively friendly, loves to snuggle, and makes the perfect nap buddy. Bunnelby is also an expert climber, so don't be surprised if he decides your window screens are his next great expedition. Nothing fazes this confident little guy—not dogs, not strangers, not even the neighbor's energetic 3-year-old, who can happily carry him around while he purrs through the whole adventure. Diggersby takes a different approach to life. He's the thoughtful observer who likes to hang back for a moment and make sure everything is safe before jumping in. But once he decides you're trustworthy, he's all about the love. He melts into pets, enjoys quiet cuddle sessions, and becomes a devoted companion who will happily stay by your side. Together, they're the perfect combination of bold and gentle. Bunnelby helps show Diggersby that new things aren't so scary, while Diggersby's calm nature keeps their adventures balanced. Whether they're wrestling together, curling up for a nap, or asking for affection in their own unique ways, these brothers are happiest with each other. Prior to adoption, all kittens are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped. Kittens under 5 months old must be adopted with a buddy or into a house where there's a kitten-friendly pet. This kitten is currently in a foster home. To meet this kitten, please fill out an adoption application so that we'll have your contact information, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. www.thedancingcat.org/adoptJuly 18, 2026, 7:17 pm

Story
You've heard of people being a girl's girl or guy's guy, but we have come to know many kitties who are cat's cats. Venuz certainly qualifies as she feels most herself, the safest and the most relaxed when she has cat companions in her life. Venuz was formerly an unfixed Mama cat living in a colony outside, and while the conditions may have been rough she was happy to be with her cat community. Until some of the other female cats began rejecting and bullying her, and the caretaker who helped them realized she was in danger. That experience has not dulled her desire to be back with cats who understand her. If you have a multi-cat household or are willing to become one, consider this beauty in bloom.  After a good acclimation period in her foster home, Venuz has grown increasingly fond of her foster since they started playing together (once she figured out how wand toys work!). She's always excited to see her foster Dad now and does happy trust rolls and back arches. She approaches him with glee, and has begun to understand the rhythms of human activity more every day. Venuz has come leaps and bounds from he first days indoors and the journey continues, adopters interested should be cat savvy, patient and understand signals of overstimulation signals. In return she will be your bestie's bestie and you will all get to grow into what family life looks like together. She does enjoy affection and we think over time with her safety needs met through her cat companions it will open her up to exploring more with humans. The sky is truly the limit for Venuz, we think one year from now she will be thriving so much nobody would believe her life started in the Goodwill dumpsters.  This cat is in a foster home. To meet her, please fill out an adoption application so that we'll have your contact information, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. www.thedancingcat.org/adoptJuly 18, 2026, 7:17 pm
