Story
Bulma is a 3 year old, 70 lb American Bulldog. She is a super happy, very friendly dog. When their mom became too ill to continue to care for Bulma and her brother, she, regrettably, surrendered them to rescue. Bulma is affectionate and energetic. Her foster recommends she be placed in a home where she can get plenty of exercise. Her original human reported that she also had a cat that frequently spent time with the dogs in their yard. Bulma hasn’t been tested with children but we have no reason to think she would be anything other than her sweet, friendly self. She might be a little much for very small children, since she is not bashful about showing love (just like every other Bulldog we’ve ever met). She needs some training to learn her doggy manners and she is very eager to please. She will be tons of fun, laughs, and kisses on day one! FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. If adopted locally and/or adopted in person, her fee is $275. If transport is needed, there are additional fees to cover department of agriculture requirements and transport, the additional fee adds $300 each to the adoption fee (any location out of Tennessee, East Coast, Great Lakes or New England regions)Thank You for Your Interest in Adopting a Canine Companion from Foccas-tn.org!To Apply Please Copy and Paste to Your Browser:https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=hb2428&method=online_form_html&formid=41LOCATED IN CROSSVILLE, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN. Story
Pax came to us from a multiple-dog family, so he is good with other dogs. He's also great with the children in his foster home. He's looking for a forever home . . . how about yours? He is food motivated and an enthusiastic student when training. He rides comfortably in a car, is house trained, crate trained and leash trained. He has been surrounded by a loving foster family but his public exposure has been limited. Obedience classes would be great once he's comfortable in a new environment. They would reinforce the training he's had, and would widen his world, showing him unknown humans are a source of positive attention and rewards. My adoption fee (if picked up locally in Crossville, Tennessee) is $225. If transport is needed, my adoption fee is $525 (out of state, East Coast, Great Lakes or New England regions). Thank You for Your Interest in Adopting a Canine Companion from Foccas-tn.org! Story
Meet Poncho- The Biggest Goofball! Poncho is a 6-year-old American Bulldog mix who’s making up for lost time — and having so much fun doing it. This 60-pound bundle of joy is white with adorable black spots, and he’s packed with personality, charm, and energy to spare. Since arriving at our shelter, Poncho has discovered the pure magic of kiddie pools, belly rubs, and running full-speed with the zoomies around the yard. He loves every person he meets and greets new friends with enthusiastic wiggles and hopeful eyes. That said, he's still working on some manners — especially his habit of jumping up when he's excited — so he’d do best in a home without small children for now. Poncho has lived his entire life outdoors, so things like crate training and potty training are totally new to him. But don’t worry — this boy is super food- and attention-motivated, and he’s eager to learn. He’s shown no negative reactions to other dogs in passing, and while we haven’t officially dog- or cat-tested him yet, we think his high energy might be a bit overwhelming for feline friends. Poncho’s story is one of survival and new beginnings. He came from C.H.A.I.N.E.D, a Detroit-based organization that provides care to dogs living chained or kenneled outdoors. Poncho lived in an outdoor kennel beside Bobby (another of our adoptable sweethearts), and the two were cared for by C.H.A.I.N.E.D. volunteers who made sure they had hay and heated igloos in the winter. When their former family moved to Mexico and couldn’t take the dogs along, we stepped in to give them a chance at real homes — the kind with couches, toys, love, and a soft place to land. Poncho is now looking for a patient, active home where he can continue learning what it means to be a family dog. He needs someone who can guide him through the basics with consistency and love, and in return, you’ll get endless laughs, devotion, and maybe a wet kiss or two. If you're looking for a dog who will adore you endlessly, make you laugh daily, and fill your home with joy — Poncho is your guy. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you would like to meet Poncho, please submit an application for me on our website https://www.friendsofmichigan.org/adoptable-dogs. He is neutered, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Poncho's adoption fee is $250, which covers part of the medical care he has received. **Please note that the breed listed for each of our dogs is a rough estimate unless DNA results are provided in their Bio. All strays have rough estimates of their age based on the condition of their teeth. Each dog is different, so each adoption is different. Our adoption process might require multiple visits to the shelter before our dogs can go home. Or they may be ready on the first visit. It really depends on the individual dog and the potential adopters. Once we receive your application, the Dog Staff will contact you to discuss meeting our dogs.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Patsy (aka Patsy Potato ) Patsy—lovingly known as Patsy Potato—is a low-riding, 40-pound pitbull/bulldog mix with the kind of soulful eyes that tell a whole story. Born around January 2023, Patsy hasn’t had the easiest start to life, but she’s finally ready for what comes next: a real home of her own. For far too long, Patsy’s world was small. She was forced to have multiple litters before she came into our care, and all she knew for years was a birthing box. Despite that, Patsy has shown us just how resilient and gentle she truly is. She’s now recovered enough to begin searching for her forever family, and we couldn’t be more excited for her next chapter. Patsy is a dog who will thrive with the right human—someone patient, kind, and willing to help her discover the world at her pace. She doesn’t need someone to rush her or expect perfection. What she needs is a partner who will celebrate the small wins, offer consistency, and show her that life can be safe, calm, and even fun. Patsy’s Ideal Home: No young children — she’d do best in a home with no kids or kids over 15 No cats — they’re just not her thing Possibly a chill male dog — with proper introductions A home committed to continued training, confidence-building, and patience Patsy may be new to the big world, but she’s ready to learn. With the right guidance, she has so much potential to blossom into an incredible companion. She doesn’t need saving—she needs understanding, time, and love. If you’re the kind of person who believes the best bonds are built slowly and deeply, Patsy Potato might just be your girl. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Cyrus had parvo at a shelter and was scheduled to be euthanized as there was no room to isolate him. A foster was able to take him home and provide the medical care he needed. Now he has recovered completely and is ready to find his forever home. He is a burst of energy and constantly wants to play. He gets along well with the foster's dogs. He would not do well with cats. He needs an owner that is just as energetic and has time to take him places to burn off all that extra energy. He is still cautious with strangers but warms up  quickly. He does dig under the fence so he needs a highly  enforced yard or someone who can take him out on a leash. He loves to play with toys and will run around the yard with them. He loves attention and knows how to sit, lay down, and crawl. The foster is currently working on stay. If given the chance he will be your best friend! Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Kimchi came to us when his owner went to prison. He was a very confused boy at first, but is now excited and fun! Kimchi loves toys! Stuffies, things with squeekers, chew bones, he loves them all! Kimchi would love an intimate household, with one or two people he could shower with love. He does well in his kennel, and loves yard time. Kimchi is pretty potty trained. Kimchi is available as a foster-to-adopt placement, and his adoption fee is also sponsored! Apply through our website: rebeldogsdetroit.com/applytoadopt

Story
Rehoming a Large, Loving Mixed-Breed Dog – 2 Years Old I’m looking for a new home for my dog due to a change in my living situation. This was not an easy decision and my priority is finding the right fit for him. • Age: 2 years • Weight: ~85 lbs • Personality: Very people-friendly, affectionate, energetic • Health: Healthy, strong, playful • Energy level: High — needs space and engagement He loves attention, playtime, and being around people. He would do best in a sin is 2 years old I have had him for 1 year. He is the friendliest loving dog, he loves belly rubs and playing. I need to rehome him because of a change in my living situation. Hutch is very energetic he has a lot of energy and needs to run daily. He is well behaved but sometimes gets to excited when greeting people as he likes to jump . He is not aggressive at all he just wants to play. The perfect home for him would have a fenced yard and some one who has time to play with him. He really is a fun loving dog.
