Meet Harley! This pint-sized 5 year old lady recently came to us from a local animal control. She is very quiet and calm in her crate but LOVES to go on walks and shower her people with kisses! Harley would is not a fan of kitties, and does well with dogs upon a slow introduction. The NAWS Dog Adoption Program operates as a rescue versus a shelter. We believe in matching the right dog with the appropriate family based on each specific dog and family’s needs. To achieve this, we believe in spending the appropriate amount of time with each family to allow for enough interaction time with potential adopters. He has a lot of energy and loves to play, but also calms down and just wants to snuggle. Quincy would make a great addition to any family! Gumbo is a 3 1/2 year old Pittie mix that was recently surrendered to our facility after the owner no longer wanted him. Gumbo is a lot of energy and loves to be active and play. He does great with other dogs and would love a canine buddy at home. He loves toys but really loves treats and your affection even more. Although Gumbo is lean and currently weighs about sixty pounds, he is strong and is currently learning his leash manners. Gumbo is a goofy boy that hopes to find his forever family that will spoil him to pieces but also commit to his training and discipline. His adoption fee is $200, which includes his vaccines, fecal exam, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention, heartworm test, registered microchip, and neuter. He is already fixed! Meet our pretty girl Princess Luna❤️ this girl is so special and had a horrible beginning to her life and spent much time on her own and not wanted. Luna joined our rescue about 1.5 weeks ago, she is Pit Terrier Mix about 3 years old. She has the most soulful eyes and the sweetest disposition. In the shirt time we have had her she has done well with other dogs as well she is living with a foster pup sibling Mac. She also doesn't react to cats, and does great with kids. Luna is housebroken. Crate trained, and walks nicely on leash. She is such a smart girl and just loves life ❤️ She will have the rest of her vetting completed this week. This sweet girl was found wandering our local community, and honestly… we’re still scratching our heads over how a dog this perfect ever ended up as a stray. She is pure gold from the inside out. Napa is fully house trained, cat friendly, dog friendly, walks beautifully on a leash, and might just be the cutest bull terrier you’ll ever meet. She wants nothing more than to curl up on the couch, tuck herself under your arm, and binge something on Hulu while she melts into you. She has a huge heart, a classic bull terrier face, and the signature wiggle that makes you fall in love instantly. She was also our very first rescue in our new place — yes, that huge move we’ve been hinting at, and yes, that new rescue and sanctuary home base we’re getting ready to share more about soon. She came to us while we were standing in a room full of paint cans, dust, and chaos… and somehow she made it all feel meant to be. Napa doesn’t deserve to sit here waiting. Jersey girl is a short stout with an outgoing personality. She is so funny. Loves kids and every person she meets. Needing a home with no dogs, she still is involved with pack walks and leash skill classes. Maintaining a good citizen, we believe she has had past trama so extended play with dogs gets her stressed and that is why we have required no dog home. Sadly that is why she sits in our facility so long. We really would love to see this amazing girl get the family she deserves.
