Story
Meet the marvelous Miss Maddie! Maddie came to Wish from CACC as a cruelty confiscate, and with the love and attention of their volunteers became a quick favorite, and playgroup rockstar. Maddie is a sweet girl who just wants to love and be loved. She loves nothing more than being with her people, and being a goofball. This girl is quick to win over everyone she meets with her cuddles, attentive tail wags, and eager “sits” for attention. Maddie has a love for life, and shows it! She does everything with passion. Playing with her toys, and showing off her silly moves is Maddie’s favorite past time, along with cuddling. She’s a parkour master in her free time, and loves to launch herself in the air during play. It’s quite a sight to see! She prefers plush toys, jumping around with them, entertaining herself. She loves rope toys, puzzles, and cuddling up with her person on the couch. Maddie is very treat/food motivated, and loves cheese, peanut butter, and most of all frozen kongs to gnaw on. She does well with sit, stay and leave it. She is the goodest of girls and sits while you take off her harness, and waits patiently for breakfast and dinner. She is doing well with potty training on a regular schedule. This girl is a learner who aims to please! While at CACC she was a regular participant in dog play group, has done well with both males and females, and has done well with other dogs during a weekend respite. Maddie is living with cats in her foster home and coexists with them peacefully despite the occasional invitation to play with her. She has not been around children while in foster care, but due to her passion for play, a home with older children would be recommended at this time. Maddie is a bit nervous about going on walks, so a fenced in yard with another dog friend would be her dream. She is getting braver by the day, though and loves to sniff the trees in the parkway, and go across the street to get the mail. Maddie is also attending training classes with her awesome foster mom, and is ready to meet her forever family! Who can pass up those ears and those eyes, am I right? The adoption donation for Maddie is $300. This donation helps to cover veterinary expenses including spay/neuter, microchip and vaccinations. Wish Upon a Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit, foster based animal rescue. If you would like to meet Maddie please complete our adoption questionnaire at www.wishuponarescue.org/adopt. We will review your responses and be in contact to schedule a meet and greet at a time and place convenient for your family and our team members. March 15, 2024, 12:10 am
