Story
Introducing Dottie, a delightful 2-year-old pocket pittie with a playful personality, one bright blue eye, and an adorable pittie smile. Dottie is currently in foster care in the greater Seattle area and is eager to meet potential adopters. If you think she might be the perfect fit for your family, please fill out an application at https://www.doggedly.org/adoption-app. Dottie's journey began when a kind-hearted individual found her wandering the streets of Texas. She was taken in by Doggedly and later placed in a foster home in Houston, where she blossomed. Now, Dottie is excited to find her forever home in the Pacific Northwest. This high-energy pup loves to run and play, making her an ideal match for an active person that enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, daily walks, and adventures. Dottie is a lot of fun and particularly enjoys cooling off on hot days with a hose. She's also a big fan of snuggling and would love to cuddle up with her human in bed or relax on the couch with a bone. Additionally, Dottie has a curious nature and loves exploring, so having a secure yard with durable fencing is essential. Dottie is an intelligent girl and loves to self-soothe with a chew toy and a soft bed. She loves to chew, which is an essential part of her daily self care ritual. Dottie also loves a structured daily routine that keeps her mentally engaged. This super smart girl knows when it's time to go on walks and have breakfast, and will gladly be your puppy alarm clock to break up the monotony of your day! Once she gets her exercise, Dottie loves to chill. She would love to share your bed or take over your couch, but she is also kennel trained. In a previous foster home, Dottie thrived alongside two small dogs, kids, and a senior cat. Dottie does well with other dogs with proper introductions once she expends her energy, and is eager to make friends. She is an athletic dog and does have a drive and loves to chase or run. She would thrive in a home with an active, but laidback male companion, but would also love to be an only dog. Due to her compact size, she would also do well in an apartment with daily walks throughout the day. Dottie is strong but is great on a leash. She enjoys her walks and is harness trained. What are you waiting for? Snatch up the dog of your dreams today! Dottie is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to steal your heart!

Those ears... those eyes... that face! Did your heart skip a beat just now? Meet Sunny, the cutest little pup with big ears and an even bigger personality! If you've been searching high and low for the perfect fun-sized pup, your search ends here! Sunny is 22lbs of fun blonde all year long! She is a 10-month-old "Chibble" (chihuahua pittie mix) who will keep you laughing with her silly antics and adorable personality. Sunny is in Seattle, Washington, and available for foster adoption. To apply, please fill out an application at www.doggedly.org/adoption-app Sunny's journey in rescue began after she was abandoned in the backyard when her owners moved away. She was found by a neighbor, who immediately took her to safety. Luckily, Sunny fit in so well with the dogs and cats in her home that her finder agreed to foster her until she made her way to the PNW! Sunny is a fun little dog with loads of personality. She is very gentle and friendly with people and will roll over to show you her belly when you approach. Sunny is initially shy at first meeting but warms up quickly with new people. Once she's comfortable, Sunny's playful side comes out, especially with other dogs. This little firecracker does not know she's small and LOVES bigger pups. She's also been with high-energy dogs, grumpy tiny old dogs, and puppies! She loves them all. Sunny is great with cats and kids, as well. She was fostered in a house with cats and is very respectful with no prey drive. Sunny also spent considerable time around special needs kids in foster care and is very patient and sweet when being handled. At home, Sunny is an angel. She is a laid-back and independent pup who loves to snuggle up on the couch for a nap. She also loves to be held in your lap and will play a gentle "bitey face" game with her doggy friends. Sunny is fully potty trained and kennel trained, but she does not need to be kenneled during the day as she is not destructive. Sunny will sleep on the couch in a little doggy donut while you're at work if you allow her to do so. This sweet girl is medium energy, smart as a whip, and is looking for a home where she could be your loyal sidekick. Her love language is wrestling and playing a good game of chase with her pals! She also enjoys rolling in the grass and walking briskly wherever her little legs carry her! She is vocal when she plays but is quiet as a mouse at home unless it's mealtime (but who isn't excited for the food, am I right?) Sunny is curious and will squeeze through a fence to explore but will return when called. Sunny is very people-oriented once she forms a bond with you. She would make a fantastic adventure partner for someone who wants a dog they can take everywhere! Sunny has been a joy to foster; she even went to doggy daycare, where she was a total rockstar! Sunny is fully vetted. She is spayed, heartworm-negative, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed. This is one of the most perfect little dogs we have met. Don't let the opportunity to adopt Sunny pass you up!

FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State - we are a local foster based rescue and no transport from another state required. :) Thanks! --- Meet the Z Litter! Talk about a crazy mix of breeds. DNA is all over the place - Bully / Shepherd / Dobie / Cattle Dog / even breeds like Lab, Chihuahua and Poodle. Totally Mutts - our favorite breed. We included a photo of mommy Zahara - who also looks like a total mutt. It's hard to say much about their personalities. As an 8 pack, they are pretty friendly and want to say hello. They are all tail wags, your typical happy puppy. Zuri is about 13 weeks old, she's only about 15#. We are thinking they will be in the 60# range when fully grown. Some puppies are smaller, some are larger. These puppies are pretty smart and very sweet. Zuri is soooo cuddly, she can be a little shy but shines when there is another dog by her side to help her confidence. This puppy is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated to appropriate age when they go home. They will only need one more puppy vaccine at 16 weeks, plus rabies. Puppies are good with dogs, cats, kids and more. Being a puppy, they will need lots of training, including housebreaking. Remember, puppies are cute, but they have sharp teeth, need to be fed 3 times a day and poop... a lot! Each dog goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more. You will receive all medical records, microchip transfer form and other paperwork at the time of adoption. Save-A-Mutt highly recommends puppy classes. You must be willing to start socializing and training as soon vaccinations are completed at 16 weeks. We will provide trainer recommendations. Adoptions typically take place in Arlington. Adoption fee is $475. Save-A-Mutt is a registered 501c3 and half of your adoption fee may be tax deductible. Save-A-Mutt is a foster based rescue, we do not have a facility to visit. Our adoptions are typically done Monday - Saturday, we are closed on Sunday’s to give our volunteers at least one day off. You must be available to do meets and adoptions during that time frame. We can make exceptions only with the approval of the foster home. Please note, we have approximately a 300 mile adoption radius - Portland OR area and Vancouver BC is the farthest north. We don’t ship dogs, once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up your puppy.

We included a photo of mommy Zahara - who also looks like a total mutt. Zander and sister Zelda are the biggest pups in the litter - 11# at 9 weeks. They are pretty sweet - and don't have a lot of fear. They are being fostered together with a bunch of other dogs, and even another SAM foster pup - Cecil. He's a pushover for their puppy play. His foster mom says he is very sweet. Zander is brave outside and has investigated every nook and cranny (with Cecil supervising). He's been a little challenging to get photos of... either looking demure or bouncing over the other dogs! When they go home, this puppy will be neutered, microchipped and vaccinated to appropriate age when they go home. They will need more puppy shots at 12 weeks, and at 16 weeks.
