Foster Update:  Emma has been such a pleasure to foster!  She loves nothing more than cuddling up next to you on the couch. She loves people and bonds deeply with her person - whoever is lucky enough to adopt her will have the most loyal and loving companion. Emma is very treat-motivated and eager to learn so she’s been a lot of fun to train.  She is estimated to be about 2yrs and 50lbs and is a pretty strong girl, so does require some experience with leash management. With the training we've done together she is doing really well walking with a loose leash, but will benefit from continued training in this area.   At home, she enjoys playing with toys, hanging out with the family and being around our two male resident dogs. We also fostered a small-breed dog and the two of them got along phenomenally. She  is a little too excited around our cats , so we think she will do best in a cat free home.  Emma is fully crate trained. She sleeps quietly through the night in her crate, though in the evenings she usually politely asks if she can get on the bed instead.  When we leave the house, she can be vocal in her crate--something we’re currently working on--so she would do best in a single family home.  Emma is a wonderful, friendly dog with a lot of love to give. She’s not high energy, apart from the occasional zoomies, but she’s always down for adventures. She wants to be close and we’re hoping to find a family for her that can fulfill her mental, physical and cuddle needs.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History:  This dog was transferred from Caddo Parish animal shelter in Shreveport Louisiana and arrived in Seattle via Tail Lights Rescue Project on September 15th, 2025.  January 7, 2026, 4:34 pm

Story
Animal Information: Petunia is an estimated 7-month old female pittie mix currently weighing approximately 40 lbs. According to our rescue partner in Tulsa, OK, Petunia is the sweetest, happy go lucky girl that gets along great with everybody. She is submissive, playful and curious. She was found wandering the streets as a stray. After no one claimed her, she went into a foster home and now will be joining us here in the Seattle area. Foster Profile:   Petunia is doing wonderfully and has settled beautifully into family life. She is spayed, fully crate trained with no whining, sleeps through the night, and can be left crated during the day when properly exercised. She enjoys long walks on leash and has excellent manners. Petunia loves people and is especially fond of kids. Because she can be jumpy when excited, she would do best with slightly older children. She is shy and submissive with other dogs and prefers gentle, canine companions. Once she is all comfortable she loves to play, she just needs a moment to warm up. She is a very fun, high-energy girl who also knows how to settle and relax with her family. Petunia would thrive in an active home and would strongly prefer a home with a garden or yard where she can run and play. She loves yard time, living room play, long walks, and being close to her people.  Overall, she is a super sweet, joyful companion who will make a great addition to an active family or person.   Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from our rescue partner  in Tulsa, OK. He will be transferred via Furry Freight, arriving to foster care on 11/16/2025 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.December 16, 2025, 5:16 pm

Story
Meet Bodie, the Tail-Wagging Sweetheart! Bodie is an incredibly sweet 6-month-old pittie/boxer mix with a silky grey and white coat and a heart full of love. At just 25 pounds, this gentle boy has already overcome a tough start—rescued from an overcrowded California shelter and brought to Washington for a fresh beginning. Bodie’s affectionate, curious nature shines through in everything he does. Food-motivated and eager to please, he’s a dream to train and loves learning new things. He’s already mastered crate training, sleeps peacefully through the night, rides beautifully in the car, knows “sit”, and is doing fantastic with potty training. This medium-energy pup thrives on companionship and is always looking to his humans for direction and approval. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is currently flourishing in a foster home with multiple canine friends. He even loves the resident horse! Around people, his tail becomes a perpetual wagging machine—he hasn’t met a human he doesn’t adore! While he can be initially shy in new environments, Bodie warms up quickly and becomes the life of the party. Bodie’s enthusiasm sometimes leads to jumping (we’re working on it!), so a home with older children would be ideal. He hasn’t been cat-tested yet, but given his young age and trainability, he may adapt well to a dog-savvy feline with proper introductions. He’d thrive either with another medium-energy dog companion or as your one-and-only, as long as he receives consistent training and socialization. If you’re seeking a loyal shadow, devoted companion, and best friend wrapped in a loving, easygoing puppy package, Bodie might just be your perfect match. Bodie is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
Waiting for over 5 years with us! FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! ❤️ Little Mama is a sweet and lovable pittie mix. She is ~6 years old and weighs around 45lbs. Little Mama would love to find her forever family so she can have endless pets and romps around her very own yard! Little Mama bonds to her people and will love her forever family very deeply. She would love a family that has a home and yard to explore and play in. She enjoys walks, cuddling on the couch, zoomies in the yard and treats! She is extremely sweet, has a fun personality and her favorite things are walks with her person, pets and cuddles. Little Mama prefers to be the only pet in the home so no other dogs or cats. She can walk fine around other dogs (walks or hikes) just as long as they are not in her personal space/within touching distance. She is UTD on her shots, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $250.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Skye is a ~4-5 year-old, 45 lb Shar Pei/Pit Bull mix who is looking for her forever home. Skye loves to be with her people and would thrive with a family that wants to give her lots of love and continue her basic training. Skye has been with us for 4 years, and is very ready to find her forever family! Skye is very loving with people and loves to play ball in the yard. Skye is active but also likes to lounge after some activity. She would make a great active buddy followed by movie nights cuddling on the couch. She has been living in a kennel environment, which is very stressful and overstimulating for dogs, so she will need a family that can continue training with her and help her decompress. Skye is very smart and knows sit, lay down, spin, wait and will work for treats! She recently completed a 6 week training course with a local trainer and did amazing! Skye can be reactive to other dogs on leash and will need a family that can help her work on this. She has done great working around other dogs in her training classes, but she can be reactive when other dogs are elevated or reactive also. She can do well with other dogs in calm settings and proper introductions. Since she has some reactivity, she would do best in a standalone home and not an apartment, or in a crowded city neighborhood. No cats or small critters. Skye can jump when she is excited and is still working on taking treats gently, so we are looking for a home with kids over 12 or adult only, . Skye is UTD on shots, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $400.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to Delilah! She is a very sweet ~2-year-old, 60 lb Pitbull mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA. Delilah is a very loving girl and is gentle with her people. She does well with other dogs and would do fine with another dog in the home, or would be great by herself soaking up all of the love and attention! She will require a very strong handler that can handle her strength as she pulls when walking on leash. Delilah would love daily walks, a yard to explore, and a nice cozy bed to curl up as she loves her quiet time. Delilah is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $400.

Story
Please meet Forrest! This sweet pup is estimated to be about 10 months old. At a young age, he was abandoned in a park. We don’t know what happened to his mom or if he and his brother were the only ones to survive, but Forrest is resilient with a heart full of joy. Forrest is a happy and playful boy who’s adjusting well to life in a home. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and people. He lives in a foster home with cats but he gets very excited wanting to play when he sees them so he accidentally scares the cats. While he’s gentle and kind, we recommend a home with older kids, as his youthful energy might accidentally knock over toddlers. He's a big wiggle-butt, a very happy boy! Forrest would thrive with a family who can help him with leash training and shower him with the love and attention he deserves. Are you ready to give Forrest the forever home he’s been waiting for? We can drive this pup to your area! If you like this cutie please send us an inquiry here and we'll give you a call and video chat with the pup! Here's the link: www.friendsfurliferescue.org/adoption-application Please copy/paste the above link into your browser ^ Our transport can take this pup to any of the above locations. (YES we also adopt to Canada! Please note: adoption fee is in US dollars.) There is NO transport fee, or any extra fees. All is included in the adoption fee. Thank you! We're looking forward to your inquiry!

Story
Animal Profile:  Penny is a 2 1/2 year old, 65 lb spayed female English Bulldog mix. She has a tight, clean coat and an adorable under bite. She has guardian-breed tendencies and will need a breed-savvy owner who's able to provide appropriate leadership. She is loyal to her family and loves to snuggle. Her absolute favorite joy in life is Ball! She enjoys playing with other dogs but requires a human who can supervise and advocate for appropriate interactions or she is prone to bullying behavior. She is currently being fostered in a home with two other dogs and is crate-trained, house-trained, and has basic obedience training. She will benefit from structure, leadership, and ongoing training. Once acclimated in a home environment, she loves to snuggle and play and has a goofy, loving personality.  Adopter Profile:  Single family residence required Secure fenced yard preferred Large breed experience required Bully breed experience preferred Other balanced dogs and older children considered on case by case basis Adoption Info: The adoption fee is $400, which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, flea/tick treatment, deworming, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Medical Notes: Penny has had one TPLO repaired in Spring 2025 and fully recovered, before tearing her other CCL in Fall 2025. We will do another TPLO for her with adoption interest.  Animal History:  Penny and her siblings were a surprise litter - their mother was adopted from a local family when she was unknowingly pregnant, so he got much more than he bargained for when she had puppies soon after her adoption. Penny was born on 12/09/22; one of the littermates was  DNA tested and so presumably all littermates are  75% English Bulldog, 12.5% German Shepherd, 12.5% Rhodesian Ridgeback. As puppies, these dogs were playful and engaging. Penny was adopted as a puppy to a family who was not prepared for the tendencies of this breed combination. Without any formal training, she developed territorial behaviors in the home and on walks that ultimately led the family to return her to the rescue. She has since been evaluated and fostered in a DGS foster home. She is currently available for adoption to the greater Seattle area.  December 21, 2025, 11:30 am

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🐾🥧 Well hello y'all — I’m Moon Pie! 🥧🐾 (2 Years • 70 lbs • Male • Big Goof Energy Included) Yep, Moon Pie — like the sweet treat and like Sheldon’s Meemaw calls him on The Big Bang Theory. Because when you’re this lovable, wiggly, and impossible not to adore, you deserve a name that sounds like a hug. And let me tell you… I am a hug in dog form. I’m a big, lanky, floppy, happy boy with a giant heart and zero shame about belly rubs. I will dramatically roll over, squirm, wiggle, and grin while you rub my belly like it’s my full-time job (spoiler: it is). My foster dad calls me a total goof — and honestly, I take that as a compliment. I’m fully house trained (very proud of this accomplishment) and I’m doggie-door certified. If the door is ever locked, I politely wait like the gentleman I am instead of panicking or causing chaos. On walks, I usually stroll along nicely on a loose leash… unless a squirrel appears, or a potential new friend crosses my path, in which case I briefly but only briefly, forget my professionalism 😅 🐾 Moon Pie’s Fun Facts & Credentials: ✔️ House trained & crate trained (I relax quietly when you leave) ✔️ Uses the dog door like a pro ✔️ Walks well on leash — excitement moments included ✔️ Quiet at home — not much of a barker ✔️ Loves toys and can entertain himself like a one-dog circus ✔️ Knows “sit” and “stay” and takes treats gently ✔️ Super smart, eager to learn, and very trainable I’ve lived with a senior dog and we got along great — though I’ll admit, sometimes I forget not everyone wants to play as much as I do. I’d love a dog buddy who enjoys some playtime or a human who’s happy to help me keep polishing my manners. I really want to be the best boy. Oh — and if you’re into running or biking? Congratulations, you’ve just found your new workout partner. I love keeping pace and cruising alongside you like it’s no big deal. At the end of the day, I’m sweet, affectionate, goofy, active, and full of potential. I’m the kind of dog who brings laughter to your yard, calm to your home, and loyalty to your heart. If you’re looking for a loving, slightly ridiculous, incredibly charming companion with sweetness galore and is Meemaw-level approval… I think we might be a perfect match. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and bring home Moon Pie — the snack-sized name with the full-sized heart. 🖤🤍🥧🐾
