Story
Animal Profile: Huck is an approximately 10-month-old, 50 lb male black lab/pittie mix that joined us from San Bernardino in California on 6/23. Huck is a friendly boy with people and other dogs, and will need basic training. Foster Update: We love everything about this sweet, easygoing boy! Huck seems to be a lovely mix of playful and snuggly. He has a few of the basics down and he wants to keep learning. Huck is good in the car and loves being with his people so he will be a great adventure dog. He sleeps soundly in his crate and walks nicely on a leash but will pull after squirrels and he has a curious sniffer! He did fantastic with two other large dogs in temporary foster care, too. We will update his profile as we get to know him better! Huck will need a single family home with a securely fenced yard. If you are looking for adventure partner Huck is your guy. We are not considering apartment living for him. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, recent exam with a veterinarian, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was rescued from San Bernardino in California, arriving to foster care in Seattle on 6/23/2025 via Wiggle Butts transport. October 21, 2025, 5:57 pm

Story
Foster Update:  Emma has been such a pleasure to foster! She’s a pretty easy-going dog with good manners and she loves nothing more than cuddling up next to you on the couch. She loves people and bonds deeply with her person - whoever is lucky enough to adopt her will have the most loyal and loving companion. Emma is very treat-motivated and eager to learn, so she’s been a lot of fun to train with. When we’re out and about, she walks well on leash. At home, she enjoys playing with toys, hanging out with the family and being around our two male resident dogs. We also fostered a small-breed dog and the two of them got along phenomenally. Emma is fully crate trained. She sleeps quietly through the night in her crate, tho in the evenings she usually politely asks if she can get on the bed instead. When we leave the house, she can be vocal in her crate (something we’re currently working on), so she would do best in a single family home.   Emma is a wonderful, friendly dog with a lot of love to give. She’s not high energy, apart from the occasional zoomies, but she’s always down for adventures. She wants to be close and we’re hoping to find a family for her that can fulfill her mental, physical and cuddle needs.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History:  This dog was transferred from Caddo Parish animal shelter in Shreveport Louisiana and arrived in Seattle via Tail Lights Rescue Project on September 15th, 2025.  December 4, 2025, 2:41 pm

Story
Animal Information: Petunia is an estimated 7-month old female pittie mix currently weighing approximately 40 lbs. According to our rescue partner in Tulsa, OK, Petunia is the sweetest, happy go lucky girl that gets along great with everybody. She is submissive, playful and curious. She was found wandering the streets as a stray. After no one claimed her, she went into a foster home and now will be joining us here in the Seattle area. Foster Profile:  Petunia is doing very well! She was a little nervous in the first few days, but is settling beautifully into family life now. She adores our kids, 7 and 14, but is a bit of a jumper so we are working on calmer greetings. She is just so excited to see them and they LOVE her too! Petunia is potty trained and is making progress on crate training. She definitely prefers her dog bed and being close to her people, but will settle in her crate after a few whines and complaints. Petunia walks well on leash and is very friendly meeting new people when we are out and about. At home she is a little cautious at first. Petunia will thrive in an active home. She has a lot of energy and would make a great running partner, once she is old enough, and/ or hiking buddy. When it’s time to calm down she loves her dog bed or sofa time with the family. For a young dog she can settle remarkably well. Petunia loves car rides with the whole family and is learning that the car brings her to fun places. She knows to sit when asked and we are working on leave it, especially for squirrels on walks, and down. Petunia will make a great addition for anyone who is looking for a fun and very sweet companion! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from our rescue partner  in Tulsa, OK. He will be transferred via Furry Freight, arriving to foster care on 11/16/2025 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.December 4, 2025, 7:31 pm

Waiting for over 5 years with us! FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! ❤️ Little Mama is a sweet and lovable pittie mix. She is ~6 years old and weighs around 45lbs. Little Mama would love to find her forever family so she can have endless pets and romps around her very own yard! Little Mama bonds to her people and will love her forever family very deeply. She is extremely sweet, has a fun personality and her favorite things are walks with her person, pets and cuddles. Little Mama prefers to be the only pet in the home so no other dogs or cats. Story
🐾 Meet Bean! Bean is a 3-year-old bully mix, weighing in at 45 pounds with a short, stocky build and a heart full of love. This happy, goofy guy recently had double cherry eye surgery and is healing up wonderfully! Bean absolutely loves other dogs and thrives in the company of playful pups who can match his energy and strength. He’s looking for a home with another friendly dog and an adopter who has experience with strong, like breeds. While Bean’s enthusiasm sometimes means he pulls on the leash and doesn’t always listen right away, his cheerful spirit and loving nature make him impossible not to adore. With continued training and structure, this strong boy will make an incredible companion for someone ready to embrace his big personality and even bigger heart. ❤️ Bean is neutered, UTD on shots and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
Please meet Forrest! This sweet pup is estimated to be about 10 months old. At a young age, he was abandoned in a park. We don’t know what happened to his mom or if he and his brother were the only ones to survive, but Forrest is resilient with a heart full of joy. Forrest is a happy and playful boy who’s adjusting well to life in a home. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and people. He lives in a foster home with cats but he gets very excited wanting to play when he sees them so he accidentally scares the cats. While he’s gentle and kind, we recommend a home with older kids, as his youthful energy might accidentally knock over toddlers. He's a big wiggle-butt, a very happy boy! Forrest would thrive with a family who can help him with leash training and shower him with the love and attention he deserves. Are you ready to give Forrest the forever home he’s been waiting for? We can drive this pup to your area! If you like this cutie please send us an inquiry here and we'll give you a call and video chat with the pup! Here's the link: www.friendsfurliferescue.org/adoption-application Please copy/paste the above link into your browser ^ Our transport can take this pup to any of the above locations. (YES we also adopt to Canada! Please note: adoption fee is in US dollars.) There is NO transport fee, or any extra fees. All is included in the adoption fee. Thank you! We're looking forward to your inquiry!

Story
Animal Profile:  Penny is a 2 1/2 year old, 65 lb spayed female English Bulldog mix. She has a tight, clean coat and an adorable under bite. She has guardian-breed tendencies and will need a breed-savvy owner who's able to provide appropriate leadership. She is loyal to her family and loves to snuggle. Her absolute favorite joy in life is Ball! She enjoys playing with other dogs but requires a human who can supervise and advocate for appropriate interactions or she is prone to bullying behavior. She is currently being fostered in a home with two other dogs and is crate-trained, house-trained, and has basic obedience training. She will benefit from structure, leadership, and ongoing training. Once acclimated in a home environment, she loves to snuggle and play and has a goofy, loving personality.  Adopter Profile:  Single family residence required Secure fenced yard preferred Large breed experience required Bully breed experience preferred Other balanced dogs and older children considered on case by case basis Adoption Info: The adoption fee is $400, which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, flea/tick treatment, deworming, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Medical Notes: Penny has had one TPLO repaired in Spring 2025 and fully recovered, before tearing her other CCL in Fall 2025. We will do another TPLO for her with adoption interest.  Animal History:  Penny and her siblings were a surprise litter - their mother was adopted from a local family when she was unknowingly pregnant, so he got much more than he bargained for when she had puppies soon after her adoption. Penny was born on 12/09/22; one of the littermates was  DNA tested and so presumably all littermates are  75% English Bulldog, 12.5% German Shepherd, 12.5% Rhodesian Ridgeback. As puppies, these dogs were playful and engaging. Penny was adopted as a puppy to a family who was not prepared for the tendencies of this breed combination. Without any formal training, she developed territorial behaviors in the home and on walks that ultimately led the family to return her to the rescue. She has since been evaluated and fostered in a DGS foster home. She is currently available for adoption to the greater Seattle area.  October 13, 2025, 5:34 pm
