We adopted Ruger when he was 4 months old. He is now 3.5 and turning 4 this June. He is house trained, kennel trained, and good with kids. He gets excited around other dogs and cats but tolerates them well. He has a lot of energy and needs a home with a big backyard or someone to take him for daily walks which we are unable to do. He would make a great companion to an active family or another home with pets.

Dax had been in a single pet home with just me for 6.5 years in a house with a yard and lead. Over the last year we moved to the city into a townhome with my girlfriend and her 2 chihuahua mixes. Since moving he has become more aggressive towards the chihuahuas and my girlfriend. He has snapped at all of them aggressively and even bitten one of the chihuahuas. When he is with me only, he is very happy and playful. He is 8.5 years old, so he has a medium energy level. While he enjoys tug of war, fetch, and find the hidden treats, he believes he is an 85 pound little lap dog that wants to sit next to you. I believe he would do great in a single pet home with room to run around and play. He is house-trained, knows basic commands, a little rusty on a leash but loves walks. He knows how to stay very well. He will sit in one room while I hide treats in others, then seek them out after releasing him. He's also great with “leave it”.
