Story
👀👀 Cattle Dog lovers- take a look at this beautiful gal!👀👀 🌜Luna is a 5-year-old, 40-pound Blue Heeler mix with the most beautiful speckled coat. Like most Cattle Dogs, she is intelligent, easy to train, eager to please, and has a sense of adventure! Luna is crate- and house-trained and does not chew non-approved items in her home. Luna is good on a leash and is up for a short walk or a longer hike. She knows the commands sit, paw, lay down, up, off, look, get your toy, leave it, and kennel. See how smart she is? 🥎🥎🥎Luna’s absolutely favorite activity is playing fetch. As long as you want to keep throwing the ball or toy, she is pumped to get it and bring it back to you. Luna also has a special trick that will melt your heart. Luna gives hugs! Kneel down, pat your chest, and say, “hug,” and Luna will put her paws on your shoulder and nuzzle your neck while you give her a gentle squeeze!🥹 Luna isn't comfortable around young children, so kids 12 years and older would be the best fit for her. She prefers a calm, low-energy home. Luna likes other dogs her size or smaller and is choosy about her playmates. We suggest a proper introduction to any other dogs in your home before adoption to ensure she is a good fit for your household. Luna loves to chase backyard creatures, so cats are not good housemates for her. Luna is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and flea/tick/heartworm preventatives. Apply to meet this smart girl at PawsitiveTailsKC.org. Her adoption fee is $175, a small price for the love and entertainment you will receive in return. 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤

Story
Herbert is a quirky, smart dog with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He’s incredibly loyal, loves to snuggle, enjoys car rides and walks, and knows sit, crate, leave it, come, and place. He’s fearless, funny, and guaranteed to keep you smiling. Herbert is truly a one-person dog who wants his own human to bond with. He thrives as the only pet, where he doesn’t have to share attention and can be someone’s full-time best friend and co-pilot. He loves structure, routine, and being part of whatever you’re doing. He’s bright, eager to learn, and occasionally shows classic heeler-style nips when excited, but with boundaries and consistency he settles in well. We’re rehoming him because the fit with our pets isn’t right. Herbert is ready for a home where he can be the center of someone’s world — and he’ll give you unmatched loyalty in return.

Story
Marley • 6 Years Old • 70 lbs Australian Cattle Dog / Labrador Retriever Mix (Best Guess Meet Marley! Marley is a sweet, happy 6-year-old mixed breed girl who’s ready to find her forever home. She’s housebroken and making great progress with crate training — sleeping quietly in her crate at night, though she prefers to be out and about during the day. Marley currently lives with a large-breed canine companion and does wonderfully with other dogs. She loves spending time outdoors and will require a securely fenced yard to safely enjoy her favorite pastime. At around 70 pounds, Marley is a solid girl who could benefit from a little fitness routine — and she’s happy to work on that with her future family 😉 Marley is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. One thing she’s continuing to work on is her greeting manners. She gets very excited when her people come home and has a tendency to jump up out of pure joy. This behavior was allowed in her previous home, but she’s learning that all four paws belong on the floor — and she’s doing well with consistent, positive reinforcement. Her future family will want to continue reinforcing these good habits. Because of her size and enthusiasm, Marley would do best in a home with older children. If you’re looking for a loving, happy companion who’s eager to please and ready to keep learning, Marley may be your perfect match! Marley’s breed mix is a best guess based on appearance; her exact breed makeup is unknown. All of our dogs/pups are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines. Adoption fee for all dogs/pups: $225. Our dogs are in foster homes across the KC metro. We do not have a shelter facility. Apply here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS/Dog

Meet Carlsbad — Your Spirited, Snuggly Sidekick! 🐾 Carlsbad is a young Red Heeler/Pit Bull mix bursting with adorable puppy energy and big charm. He’s curious, playful, cuddly, and always ready to be part of whatever his people are doing. This friendly guy gets along great with dogs, cats, and children. In classic heeler fashion, he may try to herd his friends, but he’s learning quickly and his puppy manners are coming along beautifully. He’s outgrown his mouthy puppy phase and is turning into a polite, eager-to-please companion. Carlsbad already has some impressive “big dog” skills, too — he has free roam of his foster home and reliably uses the doggie door. He is fully housetrained as well! He absolutely loves having the freedom to pop outside for a sniff, adventure, or zoomie session, so a fenced yard would make him very happy. When he’s not exploring, Carlsbad is a total cuddler who enjoys curling up with his humans and soaking up affection. He’d thrive with a family who enjoys an active, smart, affectionate pup and is ready to keep up with his fun-loving heeler spirit. If you’re looking for a playful adventure buddy who also gives A+ snuggles, Carlsbad is your guy. 💛 ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt. An approved application is required before we can schedule a meet & greet. Once approved, we’ll work with you to ensure it’s a great fit—and if it’s not, no worries! We’ll help you find the perfect match. All of our cats are adoption-ready and come: • Spayed or neutered • FELV/FIV tested • Dewormed • Up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines • Microchipped

Story
Being homeless and at a shelter isnt fun - can be downright scary. I was at a small&#44 rural town shelter which doesnt get much traffic. I was then fortunate to go to Great Plains to a much bigger town. Ohhhhhh&#44 Im hoping that it will help me find my own family and home.

The staff/volunteers are super nice and Im slowly feeling more confident with everything being new to me. I enjoy playing with stuffy toys and know the command&#44 sit. I walk nicely and do like back rubs (who doesnt?). You need to see me with other dogs. I am not bashful at all with other dogs. We speak the same language. Dogs give me confidence in myself and WOW playing in playgroups with different dogs is heaven for me.

Do you have a dog that would enjoy having a brother? Id be happy to have a sister or brother or both. Bring your dog(s) and lets meet. Im a good boy and look forward to meeting you.

All my love&#44
Bowie

Story
Meet Ziggy! This boy is a super speedy ball of energy and FUN! You absolutely can never get bored with him around. It's difficult to tell in a photo, but he is a super fun sized guy weighing in at only 38 lbs.! He's the perfect fit if you're looking for someone who can kick it with the big dogs, and has a big personality, but in a compact size! Ziggy is about 5 years old, he loves to play with his friends and definitely keeps us all laughing with his goofy, zoomie personality. Ziggy craves social interaction, from humans and other dogs. His previous owner left him alone on a tie out often, which caused him to have some separation anxiety. Having other dogs to play with has definitely helped him in this area, but he will still need a home where he will not be alone long hours of the day everyday. He would also do best in a home with a canine companion to play with. Ziggy will need an active family, he is a fun loving, high energy dog. He would not be an appropriate fit for someone who does not have the time to give him a lot of daily exercise and activity. Ziggy loves kids, but he is pretty hyper and needs to work on manners, so he may be to much for small toddlers and babies. However, older kids would be okay. Ziggy needs at least a 6 foot fence for any home with a yard, he can jump a four foot fence. Ziggy would be best in a home without cats or really tiny dogs as he wants to chase and play and is just a little to much for them. He is crate trained and should transition into housetraining quickly. If you have another dog, we will want to introduce them to ensure that they get along well.

Story
After a lifetime of love, Shelly is hoping for one more forever. Shelly is an 11-yr old Cattle Dog mix with a heart full of love and loyalty. She’s spent nearly her whole life in a wonderful home, but sadly, her owner has become ill and can no longer care for her. Now, this gentle girl is looking for a new family to love for the rest of her days. Shelly is the kind of dog who makes every day a little brighter. She loves her walks, enjoys quiet cuddle time, and would be thrilled to share your bed or your couch for snuggles at night. She’s easygoing, affectionate, and gets along well with other dogs. She would do best in a house with no cats, since they are new to her. This lovely senior just wants a soft place to land and someone to call her own again. She still has so much love to give — all she needs is a family to give it to. If you’re looking for a loyal companion, Shelly is looking for you too! Shelly will come fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $100. Apply to adopt Shelly today at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LUCK/Dog or at www.lucky13rescue.org.

Story
Maximilian: Origin:Latin. Meaning:Greatest. Meet our very own Maximilian who we think is the greatest! He’s a charming, playful 6-year-old Australian Shepherd mix. Max is very playful and loves to explore the great outdoors. And he’s just the kind of lovable companion that you want by your side, day in and day out. Max plays well with other dogs and takes cues appropriately when he’s being a little too eager. He knows sit and is a polite gentleman around the house. He’s currently residing in a home with a variety of pups of all sizes and gets along well with them. He’s respectful of the smaller dogs in the home and would likely be fine with cats (but has not been specifically cat-tested). If you are looking for one of the greatest dogs, then look no further than Maximilian! Max’s adoption fee is $175 which includes his neuter, vaccinations and microchip. We also have him current on flea/tick prevention and heartworm preventative. To meet him, apply to adopt at PawsitiveTailsKC.org. 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤
