Story
Daphne is a fabulous 7 year old pup. She is sweet, protective, and snuggly. She loves to play with other dogs, but can be noisy. While she is a barker, it is never to be aggressive. Daphne is the dog that will lay in bed with you all day and longs to spend all her time with you. She is needing to be rehomed due to circumstances that are not her fault.

Story
Cami is a fairly new member of The Pet Connection's team. She's around eight years old and is a very polite house guest as she already knows to do her business outside. She is such a sweet, shy girl who wants desperately to be loved. It's going to take her a while to trust people and she'd appreciate a quiet home where there aren't a bunch of visitors coming and going. She also prefers to be your one and only pooch, if you don't mind. She promises to love you to the moon and back, though! Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more info on Cami. She's staying with us in Beloit, Kansas, but transport is available to the right home. #thepetconnection #adoptdontshop #socute #happy

Story
Abby girl has lost the only home she's ever known. Her mama went to assisted living and her dad could no longer care for her. We promised that we'd find their baby a new home. Abby was adopted as a puppy from a rescue in Oklahoma in 2016 and turned eight in March. She was so frightened and shut down when she came to stay with us at The Pet Connection. But what we've learned about Abby since she joined us a few months ago has been delightful. It started with Abby being a little bit silly with her favorite green rubber toy and now she's a master fetcher in the play yards, with full-on wiggle butts when she sees people she knows! The girl's got some moves! She can still be a little shy at first, but the way to Abby's heart is definitely through her stomach--hot dogs and chicken being the preferred treats. They help her overcome her fears of just about anything. :) What Abby really needs now, though, is to be in a home, with a person or family, to experience the routine of a regular day with people who love her again. Once you meet Abby, you just might find that you need her as much as she needs you! Please call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more information on Abby. She's in the KC metro, but transport is available to the right home. #thepetconnection #seniorsrule

Please visit our web site at https://tarasdream.org/adopt to fill out an adoption application for this pet and for more info about our adoption process.    Colonel is a bit of a Velcro dog and needs someone who can spend a lot of time with him. He is a very good boy who still needs some obedience training. He is house trained and is able to be left to roam when nobody is home. Colonel's favorite things are his pork chews, his blue soccer ball, his foster brother dog, and people. He could play “soccer” with you for hours and would thrive with an athletic family that can keep up with him. He loves to cuddle and sleep in bed with you. Colonel does well with other dogs, cats, and chickens but would be best in a home with no older animals and no small children as he is still working on containing his energy and might be too much for them. Approximate Birthdate:   March 2023 Adoption Fee: Colonel's fee is sponsored for an approved adopter! TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL. He has not been exposed to cats or children so those interactions are unknown at this time. Toby, though camera shy, has a great smile. MILO IS A COURTESY LISTING FOR ONE OF OUR PARTNER RESCUES. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN MEETING MILO, PLEASE FILL OUT OUR ONLINE ADOPTION APPLICATION AT kcpaws.org AND WE WILL FOWARD YOUR APPLICATION TO THE RESCUE. link to application: https://form.jotform.com/230296113596155 Milo is about 30 pounds, up to date on vaccinations, and neutered. Hey there, my name is Milo! I’ve been at the shelter for a while now, but before I came here I was living in a homeless camp. My rescuer found me in a bad situation and brought me to my PAWS family. I am an energetic guy, and I love to run and wrestle with my canine friends. I play in doggy daycare every day! My motto is: Play hard, Nap hard. I can be shy when first meeting people, but once I get to know you I’m sure I’ll love you! I love to snuggle and I appreciate a nice, warm blanket.  I’ve only been in a house a couple times in my life, so I’ll need to learn the ropes, but I am a quick learner and I promise I’ll make you proud! If you are interested in learning more about me, apply to meet me today! July 24, 2024, 12:33 pm

Story
Brutus is truly a sweet boy. It has been such a pleasure watching his personality grow over the last 10 months. He loves to fetch, explore his puzzles, and cuddle on the couch. He is shy in new surroundings but warms up quickly. When he wants to snuggle, he will plop his body down on our lap and roll around. If he doesn't feel like snuggling, he will sit by himself chewing on a toy or resting. Brutus would do best in a female house setting and no little kids. He will verbally express his boundaries if you try to interrupt his "me time, but sometimes it's necessary to retrieve what he has in his mouth such as a stick from the yard. This beautiful boy is ready for his forever home! He is house and kennel trained. Brutus will come with age-appropriate vaccines, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $200. Apply to Adopt Brutus today at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LUCK/Dog or at www.lucky13rescue.org.

Story
I adopted Hank in 2020. Unfortunately, Hank and my partners dog do not get along. It is of course not an easy choice to make to re-home my sweet Hanky Spanky. Hank needs to be in a home with only female dogs. He does not like to be left alone, but is fine if he has another dog with him while people are not home. He loves the outside, I like to call it his squirrel patrol time. He is a overall very chill boy, he loves adults and kids, gentle giant & any moment of attention he can get. He is good off leash, could use some more training though to be more secure.
