Story
Alinga is a 3 year Australian Cattle Dog (aka Blue Heeler) that was recently brought in as a stray. Heelers are known to be smart, and she was smart enough to find a good person who brought her to KCPP. She has been a bit shy at the shelter, but since she approached the person who brought her to us and hopped in their car without issue, she likely will blossom in a home environment. Alinga is a herding breed, who needs both physical and mental stimulation every day. She can't wait for a home of her own with room to roam, toys, and love. Are you ready for the fun and adventure a smart girl like her can add to your life? Come meet her at KCPP today!Alinga is spayed, micro-chipped, vaccinated, and ready for her forever home!Alinga is currently living in a foster home. If you would like to learn more about her or meet her, please email foster@kcpetproject.org.

Story
Cami is a fairly new member of The Pet Connection's team. She's around eight years old and is a very polite house guest as she already knows to do her business outside. She is such a sweet, shy girl who wants desperately to be loved. It's going to take her a while to trust people and she'd appreciate a quiet home where there aren't a bunch of visitors coming and going. She also prefers to be your one and only pooch, if you don't mind. She promises to love you to the moon and back, though! Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more info on Cami. She's staying with us in Beloit, Kansas, but transport is available to the right home. #thepetconnection #adoptdontshop #socute #happy

Story
Abby girl has lost the only home she's ever known. Her mama went to assisted living and her dad could no longer care for her. We promised that we'd find their baby a new home. Abby was adopted as a puppy from a rescue in Oklahoma in 2016 and turned eight in March. She was so frightened and shut down when she came to stay with us at The Pet Connection. But what we've learned about Abby since she joined us a few months ago has been delightful. It started with Abby being a little bit silly with her favorite green rubber toy and now she's a master fetcher in the play yards, with full-on wiggle butts when she sees people she knows! The girl's got some moves! She can still be a little shy at first, but the way to Abby's heart is definitely through her stomach--hot dogs and chicken being the preferred treats. They help her overcome her fears of just about anything. :) What Abby really needs now, though, is to be in a home, with a person or family, to experience the routine of a regular day with people who love her again. Once you meet Abby, you just might find that you need her as much as she needs you! Please call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more information on Abby. She's in the KC metro, but transport is available to the right home. #thepetconnection #seniorsrule

I am an energetic guy, and I love to run and wrestle with my canine friends. I play in doggy daycare every day! My motto is: Play hard, Nap hard. I can be shy when first meeting people, but once I get to know you I’m sure I’ll love you! I love to snuggle and I appreciate a nice, warm blanket.  I’ve only been in a house a couple times in my life, so I’ll need to learn the ropes, but I am a quick learner and I promise I’ll make you proud! Story
Brutus is truly a sweet boy. It has been such a pleasure watching his personality grow over the last 8 months. He loves to fetch, explore his puzzles, and cuddle on the couch. He is shy in new surroundings but warms up quickly. When he wants to snuggle, he will plop his body down on our lap and roll around. If he doesn't feel like snuggling, he will sit by himself chewing on a toy or resting. He will verbally express his boundaries if you try to interrupt his "me time, but sometimes it's necessary to retrieve what he has in his mouth such as a stick from the yard. This beautiful boy is ready for his forever home! Brutus will come with age-appropriate vaccines, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $250. Apply to Adopt Brutus today at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LUCK/Dog or at www.lucky13rescue.org.

Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter,
Story
Boba was just a puppy when my mother brought her home. She grew up with us but was ultimately neglected with the family that was suppose to take care of her. My mother no longer cared for her once Boba grew too big, and she found out the price tag of keeping a dog. She threw the responsibility to her children, who had no means of actually taking care of a dog without support from their parents. No one else in the family wants her, and none of us are available to actually train or care for her the way she needs. Honestly, I don’t have much hope for Boba in finding a good family here. To be transparent, our financial troubles and schedule has left her untrained, lacking in social skills and lacking of medical records. All of which was through our incapability and overestimation that we’d be good owners for her. But I’m going to try. She deserves the world. I hope she can find a better home someplace else, where she can be safe and happy.

Story
Gnomeo is my name! Making life fun and full of joy is my game. Taking long walks is my jam. Iandamp;#39;m told my leash skills are impeccable. With my nose to the ground&#44 we can cover miles of undiscovered terrain. Dogs coming up to me while Iandamp;#39;m walking with my people&#44 no worries&#44 I will greet them with a wagging tail and a smile on my face. Going on andamp;quot;sniffariesandamp;quot; is my favorite hobby. Just put grass beneath my feet and a blue sky above my head and Iandamp;#39;m good for hours. I have a very playful side and my energy does raise the happier I become&#44 so I would like to meet all your kiddos in the shelter before we decide to become a family. I want to make sure me and the youngsters are on the same page. If youandamp;#39;re looking for a dog to take on family outings where nature is your destination&#44 Iandamp;#39;m begging you to come meet me. We could have so much fun together.

Story
Has your bed felt too empty as of late? Do you have a small, suspiciously fluffy, roughly 40 lbs with 4 legs, hole in your heart? Fret no more, because Allie will fit that spot perfectly. This compact little lady is sweeter than a southerners homemade sweet tea. All this gentle Aussie mix needs is someone willing to take it slow and gentle with her. Despite her affectionate nature, Allie is still shy. It might take some time (and treats), but once you get her out of her shell and into your lap, she will never leave! Allie's goals in life are quite simple. First, be adorable. Second, find a face to kiss. And third, find her forever home! Allie gets one and two checked off everyday, but she needs your help with the last one! Come meet Allie today and see if she's your missing piece! Midwest Animal ResQ offers a 30-day adjustment period within which you can evaluate the pet's progress and your adoption decision. If, within those 30 days, you determine your recently adopted pet isn't a good fit, you may return the animal and receive a MARQ credit that can be used toward the adoption of another animal. Our biggest priority is finding the very best match for you, and Completing Families one Tail at a Time!
