Approx DOB: 7/4/22    Approx weight: 60pds Adoption Fee $175 NO CATS.... she has a strong prey drive so probably no small animals that size or smaller to be safe Della is a super smart dog and really wants to please her people. Della is well behaved in the home and knows good house manners. It seems day by day her personality is coming out and we can tell she just wants her own family.   She is housebroken and crate trained.  We are working on leash training and she is doing better day by day on our walks.  Della does great with dogs medium size but seems to want to dominate dogs large like her or larger.  We are still working with her on learning how to be friends with those sizes. She loves toys especially balls.    Della has been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible. Furry Kids' Refuge is in need of good quality dog and puppy food with meat as the first ingredient.  You can drop off donations at our weekly adoption events at the Lee's Summit Petco (1860 NW Chipman Road, Lee's Summit, MO), Saturdays only from 11am to 2:00 p.m.  Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.  Would you like to foster a Furry Kid? Furry Kids' Refuge will supply the food & vet care while you supply the basic house rules & love.......win-win for all!!  Just visit our website http://www.furrykidsrefuge.org/category/fostering/  for more information. Thanks for your support! MILO IS A COURTESY LISTING FOR ONE OF OUR PARTNER RESCUES. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN MEETING MILO, PLEASE FILL OUT OUR ONLINE ADOPTION APPLICATION AT kcpaws.org AND WE WILL FOWARD YOUR APPLICATION TO THE RESCUE. link to application: https://form.jotform.com/230296113596155 Milo is about 30 pounds, up to date on vaccinations, and neutered. Hey there, my name is Milo! I’ve been at the shelter for a while now, but before I came here I was living in a homeless camp. My rescuer found me in a bad situation and brought me to my PAWS family. I am an energetic guy, and I love to run and wrestle with my canine friends. I play in doggy daycare every day! My motto is: Play hard, Nap hard. I can be shy when first meeting people, but once I get to know you I’m sure I’ll love you! I love to snuggle and I appreciate a nice, warm blanket.  I’ve only been in a house a couple times in my life, so I’ll need to learn the ropes, but I am a quick learner and I promise I’ll make you proud! If you are interested in learning more about me, apply to meet me today! October 5, 2024, 3:39 pm

Story
Meet Tito, a lovable and playful pup with a heart of gold, eagerly seeking his forever home where he can thrive with love and attention. Despite a challenging start in life, Tito has shown incredible resilience and a zest for making each day count. At 9 months old, Tito is a heeler mix who has made strides in kennel and house training, though he'll appreciate a patient family willing to help him adjust to a new routine. Tito is a social butterfly who gets along famously with other dogs, making him a great companion for canine playdates. While he's curious about cats, Tito would do best in a home with breed experience or without cats to ensure everyone's comfort. With his boundless energy and love for the outdoors, Tito dreams of a yard or farm where he can romp and explore to his heart's content. He's an ideal match for a family that enjoys staying active and can provide him with plenty of outdoor adventures. If you're looking for a sweet and spirited addition to your family, Tito is ready to shower you with affection and fill your days with joy. Bring this resilient little guy into your life, and watch him blossom into the loving companion he's destined to be. Tito's adoption fee is $250 fee includes his vaccines, neuter, microchip, and heartworm prevention. To meet Tito, submit an application at www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LUCK/Dog.

Story
Our wonderful friend, Hypatia, is still looking for her home. We thought we’d mention some of the characteristics that would make her a great addition to someone’s family. *Hypatia is a bit of a couch potato. She is no stranger to the zoomies but she likes to spend most of her time relaxing on cozy furniture, either independently or (preferably) with a favorite human. *Hypatia moonlights as a blanket. She adores cuddling and being close to the people she loves. This will come in handy as the temperatures drop. *Hypatia is housetrained. She does her business as soon as she gets outside. You won’t need to set up any bells or whistles to get this girl to go potty outside. *Hypatia is independent. She loves her people but is also happy to spend long periods by herself napping or chewing on a favorite toy. She doesn't need a super active family to maintain her energy level. Hypatia would be fine with a busy owner or family that can’t always be home with her. *Hypatia is entertaining and a lot of fun. See the picture of Hypatia and her blue pool for just one example. She's a goofball, so sit back and watch. *Hypatia loves her people. This dog has more friends than most people we've met. Everyone who knows Hypatia loves her. Hypatia has never had a person or family of her own to spoil her. We cannot imagine how much love she will give to the person or family who brings her into their home and gives her the love and stability she has always deserved. Please consider welcoming Hypatia into your life through foster or adoption. If you can't do this, please share her far and wide. Hypatia tends to get overlooked because she is a pit mix, has white on her face so she looks older than she is, and because she needs to be an only dog. We need to expand the circle of people who know about her to help her find her family. Hypatia is a 3.5-year-old cattle dog/pit mix available through The Pet Connection in Raytown, MO. Hypatia’s adoption fee will be covered by one of her many friends and she will come with a life starter kit from The Rosie Fund. Transportation can be provided to the right home. Hypatia will need to be an only pet but, after meeting Hypatia, you’ll know that she is the only pet you need. Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more info. #AdoptDontShop #RescueDog #FosterDog #CattleDogMix #PitMix #RaytownMO #DogLovers #ForeverHomeNeeded #ShareForHypatia #ThePetConnection
