Story
Bambi is a sweet mixed-breed girl with a soft heart and a gentle soul. Petite for a medium-sized dog, she’s a little on the thin side right now, but full of love and affection. Bambi gets along well with other dogs and even does well with cats, making her a wonderful candidate for a multi-pet home.Because she’s sensitive to loud, chaotic environments, Bambi is looking for a calmer home with older children who understand how to be gentle and respectful. New or noisy situations can make her a bit skittish, but once she feels safe, her true personality shines. On leash, she’s polite and easygoing, and she would do best with a fenced yard where she can feel secure. Bambi is a true cuddler who wants nothing more than to be close to her person. She’s also delightfully expressive — she can be a little vocal when she has something to say and will happily jump and twirl when she’s excited.Bambi is the kind of dog who bonds deeply and loves wholeheartedly. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who just needs a peaceful place to land, Bambi may be your perfect match.

Story
Addie is 9 months old and around 40lbs. She is a very energetic tiny tank. We affectionately call her Muffin, as she is very much like the character on the show Bluey. She loves to cause a little chaos but can also be very affectionate and loves to snuggle on the couch with Mom. The last month and a half she has developed some issues with resource guarding. She began with just new toys. It had then shifted to mildly guarding me from my husband and defending her crate after she goes in. We love her very much and did look into behavioral training but are unable to afford the programs we were offered. Addie would thrive with an experienced owner who can love her as much as we have these last 7 months. She definitely needs someone with a large yard as she needs more space to run than our apartment allows. She has so much potential to be a wonderful companion. This wasn’t our plan when we adopted her, however the shelter was not honest about her breed so we were not prepared.

Story
Looking for a smart, loyal companion? Say hello to Noah! This handsome 1-year-old, 39lb Cattle Dog mix with a coat as unique as his personality. He’s got those classic black-and-white markings with adorable speckled spots that will make you fall in love at first sight. Noah is the perfect blend of puppy energy and adult manners. He’s already mastered the "big dog" basics: he is both house trained and crate trained, making his transition into your home a breeze. A Note on Noah’s Health: Noah is currently heartworm positive, but don't let that scare you! Heartworms are not contagious to other pets or people, and Noah is currently beginning his journey to being 100% healthy. What treatment looks like: Medicine: Noah will undergo a series of injections (and usually a round of antibiotics) to eliminate the heartworms. Treatment costs are covered by the rescue. The "Slow Life": The most important part of his recovery is keeping him calm and quiet during treatment—think "leash walks only" and lots of mental stimulation like puzzle toys instead of high-speed chasing. The Finish Line: Once treatment is complete and he tests negative, he can return to his full, active self! Noah is looking for a "healing hero" to help him through this temporary phase. In exchange, he promises a lifetime of loyalty and speckled snuggles. Apply to adopt Noah at oneloveanimalresue.org.To be considered as this pet's adopter, please go to  https://oneloveanimalrescue.org/adoption-applications/dog-application/ to complete your application.
