Rigtaoni (Rigs, Riggy, Toni, Queen Rigs) is 8 years old and is a wonderful, loving dog. She loves every human she meets, loves children, always has a waggle and a smile. She loves to chase tennis balls or frisbees. She is the sweetest <3 With the proper and slow introduction, Rigatoni has a few wonderful dog friends in her life - Oakley, Baily and others. But she is reactive to other random dogs. Why do we need to rehome Toni? We have 3 children ranging from 2 to 7. Toni is part Belgian Shepherd and her guarding instinct have only grown as she's welcome each new child lovingly. As our kids have grown, they now open doors and gates from yard and house. We live in an urban area (West Chester) and there are other dogs constantly walking by our house. We have had 3 issues where Toni has pushed through a door opened by kids to bite another dog. All 3 incidents have been minor with no one hurt but we feel like it is unfair situation to other dog owners, our kids and Toni to continue.

Arlo is an 11 month old neutered male blue heeler/hound mix puppy who weighs about 42 lbs. This handsome boy is in search for a forever family and can't wait to meet them! Arlo is active, affectionate, and absolutely stunning! He is super smart and has been clicker trained. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows basic commands. While he is very obedient, Arlo is still learning that hands, feet, and clothes are not toys, so his family will need to be willing to continue working with him on this. Because of this, we will be looking for a home with older kids. He's been enrolled in training classes before and loves to learn! He is very responsive to positive reinforcement, and is still very young, so we have no doubt he'll catch on quickly! He is a little shy with new people at first, so he needs time to warm up. Once he does he'll be your best friend! Arlo loves other dogs and enjoys playing with his pals. We think he'd benefit from having a buddy to learn from and experience all of life's adventures with, though he'd be perfectly content as an only dog too. Meet Sangria, Cosmopolitan, Sazerac, and Margarita! These ladies and their brother are 12 week old Australian Shepherd mixes who were saved from a commercial breeding facility in Lancaster county due not being sold quickly enough. Sadly, this happens all the time due to the alarmingly high amount of dogs that puppy mills are constantly producing. It is simply easier for them to give the older puppies up as they don't care how much they use and abuse their breeding mothers, making them produce litter after litter. These sweethearts are understandably shy and nervous at first, but are doing a great job learning to trust new people! As with all dogs we save from puppy mills, they will need a family who is understanding and prepared to work through a period of transition with them as they learn to live in a house and around people. They will need time to trust their new family before working on training, such as house training. This should go without saying, but we require all our animals to be trained using positive reinforcement methods ONLY. Puppy mill dogs tend to do best in a home without young children as well (10+), though this determination is made on a case by case basis. These are high energy working breed dogs and will require a very active family up to the task of providing them the ample physical and mental exercise they require.
