Story
Oso was born around 01/01/2021, he is 4 years old. He is sleep driven and loves to cuddle. He knows to sit, walk on a leash, crate trained, house trained, and always is a sweet heart. He is kind to everyone, dogs and cats included. He has epilepsy and needs someone who has the time and can afford to take care of him as he does require life long medication for his condition. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Oso is participating in the DFW Rescue Me guest dog program, so ongoing care and custody is provided by her foster, not by DFWRM.July 29, 2025, 11:19 am

Story
Millie is a sweet, smart, and bubbly girl who&#39s ready to bring joy to her forever home. She loves walks, hikes, and proudly carrying her favorite orange rubber &#34wishbone&#34 toy. Millie knows several commands -- sit, down, place, and heel -- and she&#39ll happily show off her skills for her people. This vocal girl isn&#39t shy about telling you when she needs to go out or when she&#39s ready for attention. At home, she&#39s easygoing: after 10-15 minutes of play, Millie is content to lounge and relax. She&#39s house trained, kennel trained, and e-collar trained, making her a well-mannered companion. Millie thrives as the only pet and would do best in a home without young children. She enjoys snuggling when she&#39s in the mood and will reward her people with love, laughter, and loyalty. If you feel your home might be the right place for such a great dog - the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you promptly to tell you more and to arrange a time to meet! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Story
Rooney is a very active dog. He is sweet and very loyal. He loves to cuddle, play fetch, and play with other dogs. He is the alpha in any pack of animals, so he can be independent and stubborn at times, but he loves to please and earn attention! Rooney is very teachable, and needs the patience of an owner who can take the time to help him learn. He is protective and is a good guard dog. We are rehoming because we have and toddler and infant and unexpectedly had to move out of our larger home that was more conducive for his thriving, so his energy needs exceed the current space and time we can provide. He would be best in a home with older kids rather than younger kids. He gets along with smaller dogs better than larger dogs and loves to play with them. A home with a large, securely fenced yard or acreage would be ideal. He is a great best friend and we are heartbroken to rehome him, but want him to have a better living scenario than we can currently provide. Thank you

Story
Meet Sydney, a 2-year-old Heeler mix weighing 47 pounds with a bright, playful spirit and a heart full of love. She’s incredibly well trained - she knows sit, shake, lay down, and stay - and she walks beautifully right beside you. Sydney is gentle, affectionate, treat-motivated, and loves playing with toys. She gets along great with kids and enjoys being part of the action. With dogs, she can be a little selective, and we’re unsure about cats, but with the right match she settles in wonderfully. Sydney is confident, curious, well-behaved, and always happy to soak up attention from her people. If you’re looking for a smart, loving companion who brings fun and loyalty to every day, Sydney is ready to be your girl.

Story
Hi, I’m Kiva. I’m a 1-year-old Heeler mix weighing about 31 pounds, and I’m the perfect blend of smart, affectionate, and playful. I get along great with other dogs and kids, and while I’m still figuring out cats, I’m confident and gentle in new situations. I know my basic commands like sit and lay down, walk nicely beside you on a leash, and I’m very treat motivated, which makes training fun and easy. I love toys, enjoy attention, and I’m happiest when I can cuddle up with my people. If you’re looking for a loyal, well-behaved companion who’s both playful and loving, I might just be your girl.

Story
Hi, I’m Faye. I’m a sweet Heeler mix who can be a little shy at first, but once I warm up, my gentle personality really shines. I get along well with dogs and kids, and I’m affectionate, curious, and treat-motivated, which makes bonding and learning easy. I know how to sit, I’m well behaved, and I love quiet moments just as much as I enjoy attention from people I trust. I may take a minute to open up, but when I do, I’m all heart. I’m the kind of girl who will stick close, soak up love, and show you just how special I am. I don’t do well with cats, but if you’re looking for a calm, loyal companion who blossoms with patience and kindness, I’d love the chance to be your girl.
