Story
Millie is a sweet, smart, and bubbly girl who's ready to bring joy to her forever home. She loves walks, hikes, and proudly carrying her favorite orange rubber "wishbone" toy. Millie knows several commands -- sit, down, place, and heel -- and she'll happily show off her skills for her people. This vocal girl isn't shy about telling you when she needs to go out or when she's ready for attention. At home, she's easygoing: after 10-15 minutes of play, Millie is content to lounge and relax. She's house trained, kennel trained, and e-collar trained, making her a well-mannered companion. Millie thrives as the only pet and would do best in a home without young children. She enjoys snuggling when she's in the mood and will reward her people with love, laughter, and loyalty. If you feel your home might be the right place for such a great dog - the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you promptly to tell you more and to arrange a time to meet! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Millie participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.May 9, 2026, 12:08 am

Story
Hey there, it's Ozzy here, your new best friend! I'm a young, curious, and playful pup who's always up for an adventure. I love exploring new places, and with my athletic build, I'm game for any activity you throw my way. I'm also pretty smart, if I do say so myself — I pick up tricks and commands quickly, and I'm always eager to learn something new. But what I really excel at is comedy! I know how to make my friends and family laugh with my goofy personality and playful antics. I'm also affectionate and love nothing more than snuggling up to my favorite people. And did I mention I'm a social butterfly? I get along great with other dogs, so I'd be an excellent addition to your pack if you're looking to add some extra fun and love to your furry family. I'm always excited to meet new friends, both furry and human! So, if you're looking for a loyal companion who's up for anything and will keep you entertained and loving life, look no further. Come and meet me, Ozzy, and let's start our adventure together!

Story
Looking to rehome a 3 year old Australian Shepherd mix named Shango. He’s a sweet, affectionate dog who settles well indoors and enjoys walks, sniffing, and enrichment activities. He is crate trained neutered, and was recently adopted from Denton Animal Services. He would do best with someone who has the time, stability, and environment to continue working with him, especially around leash reactivity/excitement outdoors. Indoors, he has been calm and able to settle throughout the day.Unfortunately, due to an abrupt change in my financial and transportation situation, I realized I’m not in the right position to give him the long-term stability and attention he deserves. I’m looking for a responsible home that understands active/herding-type dogs and can provide consistency and care. I will provide his paperwork, supplies, and any remaining food/toys.

Story
Blue is an Aussie mix, he is very social and loves to play, Blue needs an active owner and a yard, with a fence, not suited for apartment Blue is very energetic, he likes other dogs but plays rough. He would need to be paired with a patient dog who can put up with his immature behavior, he doesn't always read cues to stop playing. His potty training has progressed significantly but he does still have accidents in the kennel occasionally. His personality is super loving and sweet, but he is mischievous and likes to be the life of the party and is still very much a puppy. Blue push boundaries and see how much he can get away with so he will need a strong leader. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Our dogs are also heartworm negative (or we will cover their treatment). To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meetMay 9, 2026, 12:08 am
