Story
Millie is a sweet, smart, and bubbly girl who&#39s ready to bring joy to her forever home. She loves walks, hikes, and proudly carrying her favorite orange rubber &#34wishbone&#34 toy. Millie knows several commands -- sit, down, place, and heel -- and she&#39ll happily show off her skills for her people. This vocal girl isn&#39t shy about telling you when she needs to go out or when she&#39s ready for attention. At home, she&#39s easygoing: after 10-15 minutes of play, Millie is content to lounge and relax. She&#39s house trained, kennel trained, and e-collar trained, making her a well-mannered companion. Millie thrives as the only pet and would do best in a home without young children. She enjoys snuggling when she&#39s in the mood and will reward her people with love, laughter, and loyalty. If you feel your home might be the right place for such a great dog - the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you promptly to tell you more and to arrange a time to meet! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Millie participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.December 15, 2025, 11:17 am

Story
Meet Boone, an 1 year old Blue Heeler with oversized ears, a speckled blue-gray coat, and a brain that’s always one step ahead. He entered the shelter alongside his three siblings, unsure of people and clearly unfamiliar with the gentle world waiting for him. Boone is the thinker of the group—quietly observing, sizing things up, and then surprising you with sudden bursts of playful energy once he feels comfortable. He’s got a soft, curious way about him and a growing love for toys, zoomies, and anything that lets him stretch those clever Heeler instincts. While he’s still warming up to new experiences, Boone is discovering that kindness feels pretty amazing—and he’s learning to lean into it. With a little time and a lot of love, Boone is ready to leave his timid beginnings behind and step into a future full of trust, fun, and forever-family adventures. The adoption fee for this pet is $75. Story
Blue is an Aussie mix, he is very social and loves to play, Blue needs an active owner and a yard, with a fence, not suited for apartment Blue is very energetic, he likes other dogs but plays rough. He would need to be paired with a patient dog who can put up with his immature behavior, he doesn&#39t always read cues to stop playing. His potty training has progressed significantly but he does still have accidents in the kennel occasionally. His personality is super loving and sweet, but he is mischievous and likes to be the life of the party and is still very much a puppy. Blue push boundaries and see how much he can get away with so he will need a strong leader. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Our dogs are also heartworm negative (or we will cover their treatment). To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meetNovember 26, 2025, 11:46 am
