Story
Hello I'm Radar! Everyone always talks about my ears! I am a young adult and have some puppy energy. I love to chew on toys and I may need some help learning what is okay to gnaw on. I love to play with dogs and I love people! I would do best in a home with other dog friends to play with. I have spent most of my puppy life in a shelter so I am working on house training. I enjoy my crate and love to snack on some frozen kongs while you are out. If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt.  Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Radar is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.October 9, 2024, 11:40 am

Story
Vienna is a gentle, sweet and loving blue heeler mix. She loves to snuggle at your feet and look lovingly into your eyes. She is great with other dogs but doesn’t want to play with them; if a dog is being too energetic in her face she does let them know with a nice little rumble. She is appropriately 6 years old. When found, Vienna had been living on the streets in rural Louisiana for over a year. Despite that difficult life, she is good with (older) children, though we’re unsure how she’ll respond to cats. She likes to go on short walks in the park and really enjoys watching other dogs play, even though she has no interest in joining them! Josi is a sweet almost 7 year old, 46 pound gal looking for a relaxed home. She would love a female owner with no children and no cats. She?d be fine in a home with a male, but bonds better with female humans Josi is looking for a calm environment where she can get belly rubs and relax. She is house/crate trained. Josi would do well as a solo pet or with a calm dog companion. She enjoys going for walks, zoomies in the backyard and watching tv. Josi is a low maintenance dog looking for the quiet life!October 9, 2024, 11:40 am

Story
I found Pepper on a solar farm out in Krum TX sleeping in a metal container. She came out for yummy chicken. She is house trained, leash trained and knows how to jump in a car. She seems to be a house broke dog! She wants to play but when I give her toys she just looks at me, I feel like she needs a family in the country somewhere where she can run free and heard things.

Story
Ruby is a 1 year old, 45 lb Blue Heeler mix, maybe with Border Collie or some type of Hound because she is very vocal, especially when she plays. Ruby has gorgeous amber eyes, and brindle markings. Foster mom says that Ruby is really good for being a puppy still! She is very smart and very food motivated, so she is easily treat trained. She knows "sit" and "lay" and occasionally will "shake paws." Ruby loves toy puzzles and the challenge of searching for and discovering her treat! She also likes to play with other dogs and toys and can entertain herself. "Chuck-it Ball" fetch is her favorite game, and she's good at it! Ruby loves to snuggle, but she can be a little possessive with the people she bonds with. Her fosters are training her to correct that behavior and to assure her there is plenty of love to go around! Please submit your application, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

Pickles is a 5 month old, 20 lb Blue Heeler mix. He is just the cutest thing with her black patch over one eye and a sprinkling of black speckles. Pickles a is playful, smart, curious, cuddly, tail-wagging puppy. He gets along with all of his littermates as well as the resident dogs in her foster home. Like all puppies, he will need some training, supervision, good sturdy toys, and lots of cuddles and attention. Since Pickles still has his sharp little baby teeth, we are recommending no kids under the age of 6. Please submit your application, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

Story
Stripe is the coolest pup around - she loves an adventure and is the first to check out new things. The other pups in her litter follow her lead because she knows all the things. We think she's a legend. She is curious and full of energy, but also balances that out by being the best couch snuggle buddy. She loves to get belly scratches if you're so inclined. She gets along great with the other pups in the litter but is also fine venturing out on her own. She is a quick learner who is eager to please and lovable. She is doing a great job with potty training and knows how to sit for treats! She would do well with kids over the age of 5 and would be a great addition to any family looking for an adventure or travel buddy!

Story
Radley is the true definition of RAD! You remember that cute guy in high school that was also super cool but actually nice? That's Radley. He is gentle, sweet and loves to be held on his back and get his belly scratched. He's very chill and has a go with the flow attitude. He loves human attention and will come get kisses from you any chance he can get. He also gets along great with his siblings. He's that type of dog that will just get along with everyone. He's a bit shy when he first meets strangers but warms up quickly once he realizes you're one of the good guys. He is doing a great job at potty training and if you give him yummy treats he sits like a champ! He would do great with a family that has kids over the age of 5 and would love to find his forever snuggle buddies!

Story
Dahlia is a loving, loyal, and very goofy girl. She is always down to play with her favorite toys, a racquet ball or tennis ball, squeaky stuffed animals or a cardboard box, she just loves to play with you. She also loves to run so a yard is a must. At night after a long walk, she loves to cuddle on the couch and sleep until it’s time for bed. Dahlia was adopted July 2022 and was a little over a year old, so i think her birthday is about June 2021. She is anxious around other dogs so would need to be the only one in the house, but I think with time and training, it’s fixable. She was attacked so she is skeptical of unfamiliar dogs. She has never been around a cat so i’m not sure how she would react around them. As for children, smaller children make her nervous since they’re so close to her face and she can get a little over excited and jumpy so it’s best to have older kids in a house. Dahlia now knows sit, down, stay(sometimes), still learning “come” but she loves learning.
