Story
Chili is a heeler mix who was found wandering out and about by a Good Samaritan. When this kind soul offered Chili a ride, she never looked back and away they went! Chili's new friend really wanted to keep Chili, but her dog had other ideas and it soon became clear that Chili would do better in another home. Chili is microchipped and attempts were made to contact her original owner, but that person never responded. We suspect that's because Chili is deaf. However, she's also smart as a whip and eager to please. Her foster mom has been able to teach Chili many commands using sign language and would be happy to share what she knows with any potential adopter. Chili is playful and silly and loving and would be a great addition to any family that has a little time and patience to continue her training. She's been around lots of older kids at a riding stable, where she spends her days, and has been well-mannered with all of them. She has a couple of dog buddies, too, but kitties aren't her thing. Chili is happy and healthy and would love to live her best life with someone like you. Please consider opening your heart and home to this beautiful puppy who has so much to offer. You'll be glad you did. For more information, please TEXT Mary at 214-783-2060 and she'll call you back!

Story
Prince was living at a used Auto Car Lot in a very bad area.  He slept under cars to stay cool and would wander off when people showed up and come back at night to go under a vehicle.  We heard about his sad existence and we brought him into our rescue.  He is 3 to 4 years old and 65 lbs.  He is a true protector of his home.  He prefers females but with slow introductions he is ok with his male foster parent.  He is house and crate trained.  He is curious with cats and great with dogs after proper introductions.  He is truly "the flying dog".  He loves to be outside and will jump from the dock into the water to catch a frisbee as well as launch himself on top of something high to jump onto a passing dog buddy as if he is jumping into a wrestling ring!  lol...Prince has huge potential for the family or single person that wants to invest their time and love into him.  The perfect family will be active in nature and outdoors and understanding of him wanting to be a part of you and your life.  He loves to give kisses and loves to be with his humans.   ##744249##

Story
Oreo was brought in from a home where he lived chained to a doghouse. He is about 10 months old and 30 pounds. He is very shy at first but warms up.quickly It took mere minutes for him to discover how to use the doggy door and is house trained.  He wo wants to be close to you but it  shy until he gets to know you, which makes sense knowing his history.. He would be best with another dog since he is learning how to be indoors and treated with love and kindness. He is a year old and weighs just a bit over 30 lbs. ##2526506##

Story
Meet Kody! A thoughtful eight-year-old Australian Shepherd currently in Haltom City, TX, whose tricolor coat and soulful eyes reflect the loyal heart of a pup ready for purpose and connection. Kody is the kind of companion who listens with his whole being and feels deeply, he’s more than just a pretty face with a herder’s instincts; he’s a steady, sensitive soul who longs to bond with his person. While he might not herd sheep, he’s always herding love, sticking close to the one he trusts most. And once you're his person? You're really his! Expect head nudges for butt scratches, quiet companionship, and the joy of being followed around like you're the most interesting thing in the world, because to Kody, you are. Raised in an environment that didn’t quite match his needs, Kody has come a long way. He’s conquered his fear of everyday noises (ice makers are no longer public enemy #1!) and while he still seeks a quiet space during thunderstorms or fireworks, he no longer panics. He’s never had an accident indoors, uses a dog door with ease, and hasn’t touched a trash can, but yes, he may sneak off with a pair of laundry-day undies if left unsupervised. A little mischief wrapped in a well-mannered package! Kody is dog-friendly, with a special connection to a Boxer/Pitbull mix he’s spent time with, and he’s shown calm curiosity around a baby. He has also been around a Dachshund mix, who comically took on the bossy role! Kody took it all in stride, never reacting with aggression. He doesn’t crave toys but will happily destroy a squeaky one in five minutes flat! He knows basic commands like sit, paw, and lay down, and thrives on routine and gentle connection. Car rides longer than a mile or two make him queasy, so he's happiest staying local. This clever boy needs a life filled with structure, activity, and a "job", be it hiking buddy, daily walking partner, or ranch hand in training. He’s known to be a bit of an escape artist, so a secure yard would be highly recommended, along with patient guidance to continue building confidence through positive reinforcement. Could your lifestyle offer Kody the purpose and partnership he's been waiting for? If so, email adopt@joyfulpets.com to meet this remarkable pup ready to start his next chapter with you!

Story
Meet Belle! A sweet and soulful almost two-year-old Kelpie mix currently in Converse, TX, whose tricolor coat is just as vibrant as her heart is gentle. Belle is the kind of pup who melts into your side for a cuddle, flashes a warm-eyed smile at every passerby, and politely sits for treats with the elegance of a pup who’s clearly aced her obedience classes. Belle has completed multiple levels of training and knows commands like sit, stay, down, up, go, and kennel. She’s crate trained, house-trained, microchipped, and in tip-top health with all her vaccinations up to date. At about 30 pounds, she’s a perfectly portable medium-sized companion who enjoys car rides (she even comes with her own doggy seat belt!) and adores daily walks, chew toys, and cozying up with her people at the end of the day. While Belle is incredibly curious and gentle around cats, her current feline roommate isn’t quite as open to friendship. Because of that, she’s looking for a new loving home where peace and harmony can flourish, ideally one with a fenced yard and maybe even another dog to pal around with. Belle is especially happy in the company of other dogs and shines at the dog park, where her social butterfly side gets to come out and play! Her temperament makes her a great match for families with young children (ages three and up), other friendly dogs, and caregivers who value companionship and affection. She’s never shown aggression, handles being alone just fine for short periods, and keeps a calm, even-keeled presence that makes her a joy to share space with. To help ease her into her next chapter, her current guardian is sending her off with her full setup: a collapsible kennel, bed, toys, treats, leash and harness, fresh pet food, and even her travel gear. Are you ready to open your heart and home to a sweet, loyal girl who just wants to love and be loved? Belle might be the perfect new friend you didn’t know you were missing. Reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com and say hello to your next great adventure!
