Story
Born on July 8th, 2025, Cookie is a sweet gentle young girl. She loves having her chest rubbed and is always up for a nap to cuddle with you. She is food motivated and loves her snacks like baby carrots, bananas, blueberries, green apples, eggs, or anything safe for dogs. She is not experienced on a leash yet. But is trainable. She deserves lots of love and affection. Knows the word "sit" for feedings and "outside". She will alert you if someone is near the home or in the yard but not in aggressive manner. I hope to find the perfect fur parent/parents. Please contact me to schedule a meet and greet.

Story
Blue is an Aussie mix, he is very social and loves to play, Blue needs an active owner and a yard, with a fence, not suited for apartment Blue is very energetic, he likes other dogs but plays rough. He would need to be paired with a patient dog who can put up with his immature behavior, he doesn't always read cues to stop playing. His potty training has progressed significantly but he does still have accidents in the kennel occasionally. His personality is super loving and sweet, but he is mischievous and likes to be the life of the party and is still very much a puppy. Blue push boundaries and see how much he can get away with so he will need a strong leader. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Our dogs are also heartworm negative (or we will cover their treatment). To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meetAugust 18, 2026, 2:21 pm

Story
Our sweet dog Willie belonged to our son while he lived in a house during his college years. Our son now lives in a home that will not accommodate for Willie. My husband and I have been taking care of him along with our two other dogs in hopes that Willie will eventually live with our son again. However, it has been over a year and my husband and I have decided it is time to find Willie another loving home. Willie is well behaved and listens well to commands. He sits and shakes his paw when asked. He is so good with children and he is trained to stay off of the furniture. He loves to cuddle and to be right next to his people. He is very soft and likes to have a ball thrown to him for exercise. I know his next owner will love him so much as he is very loyal too.

Story
Hi, I’m DenverI’m a handsome, gentle senior boy with a big heart and the sweetest soul. I was adopted from Apollo as a puppy, and while my family loved me very much, life changes brought me back to the rescue when they had to move into an apartment. Now I’m hoping to find my forever home—one where I can settle in for good.I’m a perfect gentleman indoors. I’m fully house-trained, I don’t chew on things I shouldn’t, and my favorite place to be is right next to you. I love laying close, soaking up affection, and being your quiet, loyal companion.I do best with a structured routine and would love a person who enjoys working with me and helping me continue to learn. I’m very smart and treat-motivated, which makes training fun for both of us! I already know some great commands like sit, shake, down, stay, and wait, and I’m always happy to show off my skills.I’m looking for a calm, loving home that appreciates a sweet senior who loves cuddles, companionship, and peaceful moments together. If you’re searching for a loyal best friend who will happily rest his head on your lap and fill your home with love, I just might be your guy.Come meet me at Apollo Support & Rescue in Justin—I’d love to meet you.If you are interested in adopting, please copy and paste this link into your browser...https://www.apollosupportandrescue.org/adoptthisdog.html.

Story
Shadow was adopted from the shelter at estimated 3 years old. He is now estimated 6 years old. He shows signs of previous abuse and prefers a quiet home (preferably without kids). He does well with adults and is very fond of women. He is high anxiety and likes access to his crate or a closet for safety. He has always done well with new dogs outside of our home. At home he can be territorial unless he knows the other dog. We think he is part Basenji, and he extremely rarely barks. He is a lower energy dog and would be good in an apartment or smaller space.  Shadow is housebroken and uses bells to let you know when he needs to go outside. He knows basic commands, but they best demonstrated when he is not anxious. He loves a good bone but rarely plays with any toys.

Story
Millie is a sweet girl living the farm life now, but that almost wasn't her story. At just 8 months old, she was set to be euthanized by her owners, not for any real reason, they simply didn't want to care for her anymore. Her veterinarian couldn't stand by and let that happen. She stepped in and offered to board Millie until a foster or rescue could be found. That's how Millie ended up here. Today Millie is thriving in a farm foster home. She's good with cats, dogs, and children, she recalls beautifully once she knows and trusts you, and she is an absolute snuggle bug. Here's the honest part: Millie will likely be terrified of you at your first meet and greet. Tail tucked, glued to the opposite side of the room, unsure if you're safe. That's just how she greets new people right now, and she's come a long way already. With every new introduction, she's getting braver and more confident. Millie is looking for HER person. Someone with the patience to sit with her fear, let her come around in her own time, and earn the trust she's learning to give again. Could that be you?Millie is spayed, vaccinated, and on heartworm preventatives. She's ready to call your place home!  ##2615806##
