Story
We have had Duchess since she was very young and honestly she needs to be re-homed with someone that lives on a ranch, farm, or an acre to run around that is fenced in. She thrives to be outside and loves chasing all rodents and rabbits. She will do very well with keeping unwanted pests in your yard away. Unfortunately we have a small backyard and cannot give her the live that she deserves. We have a small backyard and she often wants to get out and run the neighborhood which is not okay. The good thing is she is so very sweet and affectionate towards other people, kids, and would make friends quickly with other dogs. She has always been around another dog her whole life. The only issue with Duchess is she can be very anxious during storms, fireworks, or any loud noises. When this happens she tends to scratch any door or entrance and can be destructive with that behavior. We use shock pads in front of door entrances and a scratch pad on a door to prevent this from happening.

Story
Ace, one of our long-timers, is still looking for his person! He is a 6 year old Australian Cattle Dog/American Staffordshire Terrier/German Shepherd/Siberian Husky mix. Ace is the type of pup who only needs his person to be happy. When he has a human to love, he absolutely adores them. He prefers women, but we believe he could bond with a man in the same way with a little more time. Ace is not the type of dog to take to the dog park or out in a social setting, but he is also not the type of dog who needs that to be happy. If you think of it another way, he is just a homebody looking for a human homebody! He lacks confidence when meeting new people or when put in a new situation, so he is looking for a patient adopter who understands that things in this world are a bit scarier for him. However, once he knows he is safe, he loves with his entire heart. His favorite things are to lay at his foster mom’s feet while she works and even just be near her. He does not have separation anxiety, but he just truly loves to be around his person. Ace would thrive in a home with an adopter who is home most of the time and just wants a loyal and loving best friend to accompany them. Ace is in a foster home with other dogs and does fine with them. He is dog friendly but just a little awkward with other dogs because he doesn’t understand social cues. His ideal home would be as an only dog or with another mellow dog. Ace has been through obedience training and knows many commands. He walks great on a leash. He is also kennel trained and potty trained. We realize that Ace’s forever home is a tall ask, but we know that his person is out there somewhere. He is looking for someone who will give him a couple of weeks to open up because they know that it will be so worth it in the end. He has been with us for almost 4 years since being returned in 2020, and we want to finally see his happily ever after! If you are interested in adopting Ace, please visit rescuerowinc.org to fill out an adoption application. *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 business days. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows paid by cash, a check made out to Rescue Row, Venmo: @Rescue-Row or at Zelle: info@rescuerowinc.org      Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee      Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##209619##

Story
Meet Terry! We are guessing he is a 4 1/2 year old American Staffordshire Terrier/Australian Cattle Dog mix who loves other dogs and needs a doggy sibling in his forever home. He is crate trained and house trained and loves to cuddle! This boy thinks he’s a 50 lb lap dog! He loves to play with toys, even by himself and loves to chase his foster doggie siblings around the yard. He has a lot of energy, but also loves to lay around and chew on his Benebone. He is weary around men, so his future family needs to know that if there is a man in the home, it may take a while for him to warm up. Due to his breeds, no apartments please! If you would like to adopt a dog from Rescue Row please fill out an application at www.rescuerowinc.org *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 business days. Meet Scout City: The Handsome Hound Looking for His Forever Home! Introducing Scout City, our nearly five-year-old hound mix who's ready to find a loving forever home. Weighing in at a sturdy 87 pounds, Scout is a handsome and friendly boy who has faced a lot in his life but remains full of love and loyalty. Scout was born in our care in 2019 after his mom was brought to the shelter. Sadly, his mom couldn't leave the shelter due to protocol and contracted distemper, leaving Scout as the sole survivor of his litter. Adopted as a puppy, Scout's journey took a tough turn when he was abandoned by his adopter at the shelter following a breakup. Since then, Scout has been living in boarding, waiting patiently for his chance at a stable, loving home. Scout can be a little timid in new situations, but once he relaxes, his whole face lights up with joy. He loves toys and treats, and his happy-go-lucky nature makes him a delightful family dog. Scout does well with other dogs and enjoys both playing with canine friends and having quiet time by himself. This speckled dude is one of our favorites. He's a large, good-looking guy with a heart full of love to give. Although he has some separation anxiety, Scout's friendly disposition and desire to be a loyal companion make him a wonderful addition to any family willing to give him the time and understanding he needs. Scout is looking for a forever home where he can finally experience the stability and love he deserves. If you're searching for a loving, playful, and loyal companion who will bring joy to your life, Scout is your guy. Adopt Scout City today and give him the forever home he's been dreaming of! Story
Meet Fella: The Distinguished Gentleman with a Goofy Side! Say hello to Fella, our big, beautiful, and well-marked boy who's always ready for a game of fetch! At seven years old and weighing in at a solid 80 pounds, Fella is quite the distinguished gentleman. He's got a heart full of love and a playful spirit that will bring endless joy to your life. Fella is all about that ball life-he loves to play until your arm hurts! He knows all his basic commands and works well on a leash, making him a delight to take on walks and adventures. With a few treats and some minutes, he'll entertain you with rollovers, shakes, and quickly learn new tricks. This sweet-faced boy, with his adorable freckles, is well-behaved and gets along with other dogs and people. While he's not a fan of cats, Fella is all about making human friends, even if he plays it cool at first. Underneath his reserved exterior, you'll find a goofy side and a loyal heart that will warm up to you in no time. Making new dog friends isn't always easy for Fella, as his big, strong presence can be a bit intimidating at first. However, he's lived in a home with other dogs before being surrendered to the shelter, and with proper introductions and decompression, he would do great as part of a pack. Fella loves car rides, enjoys good walks, and is a fantastic hiker and runner. He recently went in for photographs and made himself right at home in the studio, showcasing his love for belly rubs and the comfort of a home. Fella is looking for a foster or adopter who can promise to be a good friend to him, and he promises to be a sweet, loyal companion. If you're looking for a distinguished gentleman with a playful side, Fella is your guy. Adopt or foster Fella today and let this charming boy become a beloved member of your family! Story
Hey there, I'm Blu! Picture a fluffy, tan-colored pup with one brown eye and one dazzling blue eye-that's me! I'm medium-sized and oh-so-adorable, if I do say so myself. At first, I might seem a bit shy, but don't let that fool you. Once I get to know you, I come out of my shell pretty quickly. I tend to warm up to women faster, but with a little patience and kindness, I'll be your best friend in no time! Because of my nervous nature I should not be in a home with small children. Leashes? Yeah, I'm still getting used to those. That's why walking me on a harness works best-I'm still a bit hesitant, you see. But once I'm comfortable around you, get ready for some serious cuddle sessions! I'm a love bug at heart and absolutely adore giving and receiving hugs. I also will even sometimes get really excited and will roll over for belly rubs (but only with my bestest friends)! I'm a playful pup who loves nothing more than running around outside and showing off my speed. A house with a fenced-in backyard is the perfect place for me to stretch my legs and let loose! I would love a family that has another dog in the home (they should come to meet me also) because I love having a dog friend to play with and snuggle up with. I'm looking for a loving family who understands that I might need a little time to come out of my shell. With a fenced-in backyard and plenty of toys to keep me entertained, I'll be one happy pup. And trust me, you won't be able to resist my adorable face! So, are you ready to welcome a sweet and playful pup like me into your home? Let's meet up and see if we're a match made in doggy heaven!

Story
I’m Amy Pawmer. I ventured into comedy when I was about eight weeks old. I have accomplished many talents for my young age, but being funny is my favorite thing to do. If you are looking for a puppy who is both funny and sweet, then I’m your girl! I'm looking for a forever home with someone who has plenty of time for me. I am gonna need plenty of toys to chew on so I am not chewing on other things that I am not supposed to chew on. I am a puppy after all! I love to play outside with dogs of all sizes at my foster home and of course with my litter mates. I sleep overnight in my crate and will let you know around 6-6:30 a.m. that it is time for me to go outside. I am not completely house trained yet, but am working on it. I have already learned how to use the doggie door. My mom - Lilly Momlin - is a mini Aussie, about 20 pounds. However, I will be a little larger than her and likely to be a medium sized dog when I grow up. **Because we require home visits, we only adopt locally to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Leno is my name, and being silly is my game! I may not have a fancy car collection like Jay Leno, but I hope to start an amazing toy collection! I'm looking for a forever home with someone who has plenty of time for me. I will need plenty of toys to chew on so I am not chewing on other things that I am not supposed to chew on. I am a puppy after all! I love to play outside with dogs of all sizes at my foster home and of course with my litter mates. I got to go to doggie daycare for a few days, and though shy at first, I quickly became quite the social butterfly with all of the attention from the staff.
