Story
Hi! I am Spencer, part Heeler, part lover, part ninja. I am 6 to 9 months old. I love to play chase with other dogs (and I am fast). I am fabulous at fetch and I love to snuggle. Where you go, I go and I have a stealth mode that is unbelievable. I will be by your side 95% of the time. I am quick and light on the feet. My foster mom never hears me coming. I can maneuver quickly to avoid any and all obstacles. I have a lot of energy and I walk on a leash like a champ. I play all the time with the other pup I live with and I am great with people. If something comes in the yard that doesn’t belong, my bark will let you know don’t worry. Everyone that meets me wants to hold me and cuddle me and I love every minute of it. I can climb stairs faster than everyone. I have a beautiful sit, I know how to walk on a leash, use the doggie door and sleep in my crate. I have been spying on the pup I live with and learning her tricks and commands as she learns. I eat all my food and love my walks and belly rubbed. I think I would be a great addition to your family if I do say so myself!

Story
We have had Duchess since she was very young and honestly she needs to be re-homed with someone that lives on a ranch, farm, or an acre to run around that is fenced in. She thrives to be outside and loves chasing all rodents and rabbits. She will do very well with keeping unwanted pests in your yard away. Unfortunately we have a small backyard and cannot give her the live that she deserves. We have a small backyard and she often wants to get out and run the neighborhood which is not okay. The good thing is she is so very sweet and affectionate towards other people, kids, and would make friends quickly with other dogs. She has always been around another dog her whole life. The only issue with Duchess is she can be very anxious during storms, fireworks, or any loud noises. When this happens she tends to scratch any door or entrance and can be destructive with that behavior. We use shock pads in front of door entrances and a scratch pad on a door to prevent this from happening.

Story
Meet Scout City: The Handsome Hound Looking for His Forever Home! Introducing Scout City, our nearly five-year-old hound mix who's ready to find a loving forever home. Weighing in at a sturdy 87 pounds, Scout is a handsome and friendly boy who has faced a lot in his life but remains full of love and loyalty. Scout was born in our care in 2019 after his mom was brought to the shelter. Sadly, his mom couldn't leave the shelter due to protocol and contracted distemper, leaving Scout as the sole survivor of his litter. Adopted as a puppy, Scout's journey took a tough turn when he was abandoned by his adopter at the shelter following a breakup. Since then, Scout has been living in boarding, waiting patiently for his chance at a stable, loving home. Scout can be a little timid in new situations, but once he relaxes, his whole face lights up with joy. He loves toys and treats, and his happy-go-lucky nature makes him a delightful family dog. Scout does well with other dogs and enjoys both playing with canine friends and having quiet time by himself. This speckled dude is one of our favorites. He's a large, good-looking guy with a heart full of love to give. Although he has some separation anxiety, Scout's friendly disposition and desire to be a loyal companion make him a wonderful addition to any family willing to give him the time and understanding he needs. Scout is looking for a forever home where he can finally experience the stability and love he deserves. If you're searching for a loving, playful, and loyal companion who will bring joy to your life, Scout is your guy. Adopt Scout City today and give him the forever home he's been dreaming of! All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Story
Meet Fella: The Distinguished Gentleman with a Goofy Side! Say hello to Fella, our big, beautiful, and well-marked boy who's always ready for a game of fetch! At seven years old and weighing in at a solid 80 pounds, Fella is quite the distinguished gentleman. He's got a heart full of love and a playful spirit that will bring endless joy to your life. Fella is all about that ball life-he loves to play until your arm hurts! He knows all his basic commands and works well on a leash, making him a delight to take on walks and adventures. With a few treats and some minutes, he'll entertain you with rollovers, shakes, and quickly learn new tricks. This sweet-faced boy, with his adorable freckles, is well-behaved and gets along with other dogs and people. While he's not a fan of cats, Fella is all about making human friends, even if he plays it cool at first. Underneath his reserved exterior, you'll find a goofy side and a loyal heart that will warm up to you in no time. Making new dog friends isn't always easy for Fella, as his big, strong presence can be a bit intimidating at first. However, he's lived in a home with other dogs before being surrendered to the shelter, and with proper introductions and decompression, he would do great as part of a pack. Fella loves car rides, enjoys good walks, and is a fantastic hiker and runner. He recently went in for photographs and made himself right at home in the studio, showcasing his love for belly rubs and the comfort of a home. Fella is looking for a foster or adopter who can promise to be a good friend to him, and he promises to be a sweet, loyal companion. If you're looking for a distinguished gentleman with a playful side, Fella is your guy. Adopt or foster Fella today and let this charming boy become a beloved member of your family! All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Story
Hey there, I'm Blu! Picture a fluffy, tan-colored pup with one brown eye and one dazzling blue eye-that's me! I'm medium-sized and oh-so-adorable, if I do say so myself. At first, I might seem a bit shy, but don't let that fool you. Once I get to know you, I come out of my shell pretty quickly. I tend to warm up to women faster, but with a little patience and kindness, I'll be your best friend in no time! Because of my nervous nature I should not be in a home with small children. Leashes? Yeah, I'm still getting used to those. That's why walking me on a harness works best-I'm still a bit hesitant, you see. But once I'm comfortable around you, get ready for some serious cuddle sessions! I'm a love bug at heart and absolutely adore giving and receiving hugs. I also will even sometimes get really excited and will roll over for belly rubs (but only with my bestest friends)! I'm a playful pup who loves nothing more than running around outside and showing off my speed. A house with a fenced-in backyard is the perfect place for me to stretch my legs and let loose! I would love a family that has another dog in the home (they should come to meet me also) because I love having a dog friend to play with and snuggle up with. I'm looking for a loving family who understands that I might need a little time to come out of my shell. With a fenced-in backyard and plenty of toys to keep me entertained, I'll be one happy pup. And trust me, you won't be able to resist my adorable face! So, are you ready to welcome a sweet and playful pup like me into your home? Let's meet up and see if we're a match made in doggy heaven!

Story
Lady was adopted as a puppy with her littermate from a family in Oklahoma whose dogs had one of those unexpected surprise litters that occur when two unaltered pets live together. As most sibling cases go, Lady and her sibling are no longer getting along, and the family has decided it would be best to find Lady a home where the siblings are no longer living together.  She does get along with other dogs. She has not been around cats, but we can cat test of needed. Lady is a young doggie who sometimes doesn't know her own size and can easily knock down toddlers on accident so she would do best in a home with teenagers. She is crate trained and housebroken. Lady is very smart, loving and will make a wonderful pet for a couple or family with older children.  Lady has been spayed, is current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped and all ready for a forever home to call her own.  If you are interested in more information and or meeting Lady, please complete the online application here: Adoption Application - Legacy Humane Society DOB: 10/22/2022 Weight: 54lbsWe do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Story
Are you a homebody (or two) looking for a companion who is easy to exercise without leaving your fenced yard and a wonderfully entertaining friend? That’s ME! I’m Sydney Skittle-butt. I’m a small girl (27 lbs), a bit over a year old, spayed, vaccinated BC/Mini Aussie mix. I promise to make you smile many times a day. I get my exercise needs playing fetch with tennis balls, so going on endless walks or playing on agility equipment is not required (though it sounds like fun!). I’m a good fit for older adults who have a pretty settled routine! I like training exercises (treats!) and learn fast! I sleep deeply through the night in my comfy crate and don’t mind spending a bit of time there during the day if you have to run errands (like getting me new tennis balls!) I have a busy mind which results in a bit of generalized anxiety (but NOT separation anxiety!) that is currently being managed with medication once a day. With time and a calm environment, I may be able to reduce or eliminate the medication. As of now I’m a happier, calmer dog on the medication. Because of this generalized anxiety, I can be unpredictable with dogs and would not be an appropriate pet for children or apartment living. I am smart and sensitive, will follow you everywhere, look to you for guidance and comfort (and tennis balls). I truly want to please you but within the boundaries of my particular need to stay calm. I am expressive, have the cutest wiggle butt you’ve EVER seen, and if you love to laugh out loud, I’m your girl! I am currently in the DFW area and ready to be adopted! Apply for me at bcrrt.com.

Story
This precious boys name is cammo. He’s a sweet dog, is house broken, gets along with 2 of our dogs but the 3rd one he does not. He has attacked him twice. He gets along with our 7 month old. He loves cuddles and his food. We just can’t have him attacking our other dog at random with a baby in the home.
