**COURTESY LISTING- THIS IS NOT AN EPIC DOG. PLEASE CONTACT CAN.ADOPTIONS@YAHOO.COM FOR MORE INFORMATION***   T illie is currently being professionally trained and her training will be completed mid-September.  Tillie is extremely intelligent, and we felt this training would be to her benefit.   PRECIOUS TILLIE!!  LOOK AT THOSE EARS!!!!!  Tillie is a medium sized dog and weighs approximately 37 pounds.  She is an Australian cattle dog mix, 18 months old, spayed, current on vaccinations and on heartworm preventative.  She is also microchipped.  Tillie was out of time at a local shelter and we just HAD to get her!   SMART!!  SMART!!  And LOVES to play fetch with you.  Here is a video of her with her "big stick" which she alternates with her "Tillie Ball".  She has a lot of playing to do and a lot of love to learn about.  Tillie will need an active home that will make her a real part of their family and take her with them where they are able.   For more information, please email Gail at can.adoptions@yahoo.com.   July 23, 2024, 12:21 pm

Story
Kody came to me through my stepson who was unable to care for him long term. We’ve had Kody now for four years and have realized that our home is not what he needs as an Australian shepherd. He needs more time, space and stimulation than what we can give him. Because he has no “job” he’s taken to herding and protecting me as his “flock” and that’s beginning to cause issues with our other dogs in terms of resource guarding (mostly me!). Kody is timid when it comes to unknown noises and things he’s unsure of and is scared of thunder/fireworks. While he has overcome much timidity since being with us, he will require someone with patience and compassion while he adjusts to new surroundings. Kody walks well on leash, but becomes car sick easily. He is eager to please and knows basic tricks such as sit, lie down and paw. He has not been around young children or cats, so I cannot comment on his behavior in these circumstances.
